It's not talk about enough... I don't want to rely on him... it was horrible watching games slip away because of him.. trade and move on... continue build around Brunson
so many teams that started the season as Eastern Conference contenders have run into problems, and the Knick's trades this season have looked really solid. Boston is still the logical favorite to take the east, but the number two spot is more up in the air. It feels like the Knick's are on the verge of overtaking Milwaukee because of how both organizations are trending and have performed relative to expectations. Dame is still a clutch offensive threat but without Jrue Milwaukee's D is atrocious so that move doesn't feel like a clear net positive for their playoff prospects, and now they've lost 4 of 6 games under Doc Rivers who is infamous for blowing playoff leads and being disliked by star players. It's still really early to be evaluating that coaching change but it seems like one that was made in desperation and could backfire in dramatic fashion. The 76ers can't be taken seriously without a healthy Embiid, the Heat have won less than half their games since the rozier trade, and the Pacers are too much of a glass cannon for a deep playoff run. The Knicks on the other hand have only overperformed and improved this season, but they have company in that department: The Cavs. The Cavs are super hot right now and play great D. I don't necessarily know if the level of success they're having at the moment is sustainable, or if it will translate into post-season success, but they've become a team I would also put over Milwaukee. So realistically I think the Knicks and Cavs are too close to call, but Boston will probably be ECF Champs regardless. It'll be interesting to see if the cavs and Knicks can keep the positive momentum through the post season and off-season and be in a more commanding position this time next year. Either way I hope the Cavs and Knicks both make deep playoff runs, the east needs a little bit of a shake-up to be competitive again and if they end up eliminating the Bucks or Celtics it's gonna light a fire under a lot of organizations.
Realistically the ECF especially if the team can get and remain healthy but i do think the knicks can make the Finals and maybe even win the finals if they are dealt the right cards
My dream is trading for Mikal Bridges. How could the Nets say no to 5-6 firsts. I really believe it puts us over the edge and makes the Knicks into as big a contender as anybody in the league. Fit > star power, the way the Knicks have been building this whole time
I agree, although I don’t know if the Knicks should drop that many picks on Mikal. He’s a very good player but even if he returns to his all defensive level on that end 5-6 picks is a lot lol
@@SwiftHoops220 6 is for sure too many but I think 5 is alright. The Knicks have the mav’s 1st this year and buck’s next year. I believe the pistons 2027 will convey and be valuable, it’s top 9 protected so 10-14 is reasonable 3 years from now. Count those 3, then the Knicks pick this summer and in 2026 and you’ve got 5 picks with only 2 being the knicks own. Don’t even need to trade for a superstar I think the fit is so perfect it makes them real contenders right there
No doubt mikal would be a solid fit but in no world is he worth 5-6 firsts. There's very few guys in the league worth that many picks and mikal is not one of them. I can't see Brooklyn even asking for that much
@@DarkStout. yeah of course I’d rather them not spend that many picks but that’s how willing and confident I am that bridges would be the piece they need, if he’s available (stupid if he isn’t IMO) just make the best offer
Damn good, just saw him come off the bench against Lakers and literally cooked them by himself. Keep him on the floor coach, you see what he’s doing..🏀💪🏼🦵🏽
Trea Young is nothing more than a want to be . Look at John Collins it took a minute but John is doing well in utah .Trea's ego is the problem he thinks he's Jordan or Bryant .He is overrated.
Trae Young, Dejounte Murray, Clint Capela and Jalen Johnson should NOT be included in any Atlanta Hawks trade. De'Andre Hunter, Bogdan Bogdanovic & Bruno Fernando should be grouped in a trade. Onyeka Okongwu is best asca back up at the 4, with AJ Griffin and Vit Krejci backing up Dejounte Murray at the 2, for the Atlanta Hawks. Saddiq Bey, Patty Mills and Wesley Matthews are all in their last year of their NBA contract. Current Detroit Pistons James Wiseman is in the final year of his contract and he would be perfect at the 4 for the Atlanta Hawks.
Cause DJ isn’t a far fall off and can play d. It’s just hard to let Trae go cause he offensively top tier. Also we could get way more in return while still keeping a very solid pg in Murray if Trae is traded. But I like em both tbh. This sucks lol😂
DJM Bridges Johnson and Johnson is a solid core. Unless they can get their picks back from SAS Trae is the better candidate to be traded for Mikal and Cam and picks. Won’t happen though as Trae sells tickets and Resslers are more motivated by ticket sales than winning. Once World Cup comes and goes they will sell Hawks as a real estate play

@@garywarmeriiyeah man you just don’t know what you’re talking about I’m not wasting my time with this lol. I’m not even trying to sound mean but you’re literally saying things that aren’t true or don’t make sense
This dude is going NOWHERE mark my words, Danny Ainge is not stupid or blind. Hardy has his attention and they’re creating a good relationship. I don’t think the jazz should do anything except try to get olnyk to resign and just keep playing with this intensity and believing in one another and they’re a legit contender IMO.
People keep saying that OKC has plenty of picks to dish out to acquire talent. Which is true, but the problem is everyone seems to forget that Utah has 14 first round picks up to 2029. It's the one team in the league that doesn't care about OKC's stash of picks. They would have to give up talent to get Markkanen, and they're not going to do that. Giddey plus a few firsts wouldn't get it done. Add Chet and Dort and remove the picks. OKC would obviously say no, but Ainge won't let Lauri go for less.
I watched a sga draft prospect video the other day. He improved on his strengths and turned his weaknesses into strengths as well. It’s remarkable to see the player he has become in contrast to the player he was. I say all that to say that if Chet improves in a similar manner. He will be something we have never seen at his size. Even more so than what we’ve seen in him now.
I'm generally in the boat that says leave the team as is and don't trade before the deadline. But then I remembered when the Bulls traded for Rodman - an elite rebounder - and it took them to that next level. If they do trade, they should get an elite rebounder. Heck even just someone who gets 10-13 a game. Hartenstein comes to mind right away. He's a great rebounder and shot blocker who doesn't need to score (they have plenty of scorers). For a big man, he passes good - which fits the bill with the Thunder. He's hot rn and you wouldn't have to trade a ton for him. Or also, if it ain't broke don't fix it.
I agree with this narrative decently enough but as a Knicks fan I don’t think Hartenstein would be available unfortunately. At the very least I hope not because my heart can’t handle Precious Achiuwa starting center minutes
Chet(208lb frame this yr) is ROY. He could score more but he only cares about efficiency& not taking away from teammates game. He has been even better in 4th qtr of close games. Theres been about 6 or 7 games where he was the difference maker hitting huge shots in last min of game.
