ResQ Gear is a channel mainly focusing on Instruments, Software and Microphones. We started our studio back in 2019 and has seen a great deal of succes, and are now at a place where our setup allows us to shoot in-house videos. We also have another channel called: "ResQ Studio", which is more focused on music.
I have this pedal and the mids circuit is insane in its throw. I think the eq is a good patch for limited amps like my champ clone. Really good versatility out of the level and gain, for what the pedal is. Nice review, man.
If the pups were soapbars, you could lower the middle, stopping it from getting in the way and increasing the strat quack. Does the middle hinder you much?
I’ve tied some Mexican Fenders in the last months. I was so disappointed. The neck was not aligned, frets uneven, and it had some other minor issues. A HB might have the same problems, but it is much cheaper. For 1/4 of the Fenders price these issues are acceptable.
There’s something to be said for being prepared for a guitar review. Unfortunately in this case, there’s something to also be said for being completely unprepared for a guitar review. The reviewer’s complete lack of knowledge in this video made it painful to watch.
Si continua a dire che le Harley Benton sono per principianti solo perché, a volte, si rifanno a marchi blasonati, solo che poi si suonano e viene voglia di comprarne più d'una, dimenticando tranquillamente l'esistenza di quelle altre
I got my first Epiphone back in 2006... an alpine white les paul custom. It got me hooked on Epiphone cause it was just awesome! The new Epis are better than ever and i notice the 335s sound a lot clearer than the DOTs did back then. I have an Inverness Green Epi 335 Trad Pro with coil tapping and its unbelievably great!! And I like the new headstock much better since they made it more Gibson-like. Great demo! Great playing!
i build the harley benton strat kit and love it. the pick ups are pretty hot and remind me a bit off p90's breaks up a bit quicker than normal single coils. i've had it for over a year and only play that haha even though its very cheap it just sounds great! (only upgraded the tuners to some vintage ones, the one in the kit are pretty bad)
The fender has more Body and lauder, also you can hear the snap of the picking more pronounced. to the sound i listening with good head phones. Compared the money the change is definitely something minor. However maybe the febder has a better setup overall and its just and you can achieve the playability and tone of the fender closer wirh a good setup?
I have just come across this for sale on the marketplace on facebook. Still in pretty good condition and not bad for the price (my shipping if I were to buy brand new would probably be more than the price). God willing, I'll close the deal soon. Thanks for the review.
Nice reviews on these little beasts! I'm thinking of getting the Vintage to plug into a 2x12 4ohm 160w Marshall cab I have for the metal band I'm in. The idea is to have the gain at about 10-12 o'clock and use a MT-2 as a distortion boost to effectively have two channels. 1: kinda clean 2: Dirty. Think that would work and would it be loud enough for gigging? Cheers!
Sag is related to the power amp being driven "too far" such that it starts to compress and sag. You'll notice things actually get quieter when the knob is all the way up. You should also notice that it's like you're using a very heavy compression pedal. Essential, if the gain dial is the "overdrive" for the pre-amp, the "sag" dial is the overdrive for the power amp.
I also have the blueberry flame, and it's more beautiful in person. The pickups on mine also seem very bright, it almost sounds like a tele. I would love to see someone playing death metal with this... :D
40 years ago one could dream of getting a quality guitar like this....for the price. I paid 1700 skr (2024) for the Hot Rod modell. That's exactly what a completely unplayable crap guitar cost me....1982 !? Now...consider inflation for those 42 years. It's crazy !! My new HB was by the way flawless out of the box. The neck....5 stars, and way better than my expensive Gretsch. We do live in the golden age of good affordable guitars....enjoy it. Thanks for the video 😊
I bought this one a couple of years ago, just to have an acoustic besides my 3 electric. It’s a good guitar for its price. But the heel on mine has cracked but it’s still ok.
It sounds like the action is set up too low and the notes are choking out. Might be ok for dirty tones, but unsuitable for any clean playing. I wasn’t liking the pickups but your playing is good.
Get a new or used Professional please. 1979 was a mediocre year and the guitars were hit or miss due to quality control isssues. The quality of the USA strats is so, so, much better now. The year 1979 was the beginning of the end for the management of Fullerton and CBS. They brought in a panel of consultants in 1980 to try to stop the slide. By 1981 it was under new management and was transitioned away from CBS in 1985. They made the big headstocks until 1982 I think from leftover parts. The one you are playing sounds great now after decades of adjustments.
The 040 sounds a bit bright, is the 140 without the high boost flatter the the 040. They say they both have the same capsule. Or are the equally bright and the high boost makes the 140 air even more brighter than the 040.
