In this video i'm going over the Nux Solid Studio. In a studio environment this pedal is something you must own. It's a I.R and Power Amp emulation device, and a good one at that. Hello. I just wanted to ask, is it possible to use this alone with the amp and cab without any FOH or pc?. Currently I'm running an SC20h amp and Wangs cab. I just wanted to try cab sim features for a change. Tnx in advance.

The 'Drive' knob is the most important. It responds differently for each impulse response. That's the one you should have been adjusting. Otherwise everything's gonna sound almost the same. Obviously needs to be used with pedals. Ordering one now. Thanks.

Nice video. Would it be the case that this benefit from a preamp pedal or would a good drive pedal be enough? Cheers in advance and hope your channel goes from strength to strength.

I've tried running a few pedals into this thing and I must say that it handles pedals very very well! Don't own a real preamp pedal, so I can only talk for a couple of good drives... But it's sounds way too good! 🤗

Hi friend, very good review! I have a question. I would very much like your help. I saw that you tested Toperdo Captor X. I know that it is a LoadBox and Atuenuator and has effects, but in my case I don't need those functions. Captor X simulates 2 mics at the same time, it seems really good to obtain a sound similar to a real amp. Nux Solid Studio simulates only 1 mic at a time, but Nux is an analog (I have one) it seems to me that it sounds more natural / organic. Captor X is totally virtual, I think it sounds less natural. Which do you prefer?

Well it depends on the task. If I wanna write some good demos and record them easily from my desk then I tend to grab the Solid Studio with a nice preamp pedal in front way more than I hook up the Captor X. However if i have to do some serious recording, then I prefer the Captor X over the Solid Studio. For me it all comes down to how much patience you have and what's your budget. If you want killer tones regardless of time and money, then I'd use the Captor X! If you are on a tight budget, then I would use the Solid Studio! Hi. Really helpful video. Thanks. Around the 3 minute mark you give an overview of your set-up. I’m thinking of getting the Nux pedal and using it with my HX Effects unit and an audio interface. I wonder if you could please share the cabling approach you’re using in the set-up on the video? For example, are you using the DI out to connect to your audio interface? On the HX Effects are you adding in the Nux in an FX loop so you can place it within the signal chain and have certain effects sitting before and after the Nux? Hope this makes sense. Thanks.

No problem! Thanks for the nice words! Alright so I was running my guitar into the input of the helix, then straight out from the helix into the Solid Studio, and from there I just ran a jack couple from the output directly into the interface! Hope this helps, otherwise let me know! 😄

@@resqgear1918 great thanks for confirming. I wasn't sure if you were using a 4 cable method which Line6 outline when wanted to include a pedal as an FX loop so wanted to ask the question. I'm currently looking between the Nux and the Two Tone Torpedo CAB M+. On one hand I want something quite simple but on the other hand the CAB M+ does seem to offer a lot of options (maybe too many!). Have a great day and thanks again.

Hello i have 2 simple questions about the pedal. Im not familiar with that kind of stuff.. I plan to buy or to play with direct Into a mixer (mix table). Is it possible? And is it possible to plug the pedal in front of an amp through input? I have a Bugera 5 Watt which i find a little too dark. So is it a good plan toi have Vox ans Fender sounds with tube Dynamic of the amp? Thanks in advance and sorry for my english. 🤘

No, these kind of pedals are meant to run into either a p.a. system or as a d.i. into a recording interface, definitely not into a guitar amp. It would get very messy!

If you amp is a bit too dark, an eq pedal would really help. And a decent one isn't too expensive either.

I don't hear any hissing sound? Maybe just a bad cable or low quality interface?

Bro, please take this as a positive critic, It is an ordinary box, not a "really lovely box" as you said. It is better when reviewers are "cool" and do not like all the things about the product they test. RU-vid is full of videos with sponsorships already. Last, you should show the software of Nux also. Since it is a very important part of it.
