I love the new DCT non tour version, I found a 2015 F6B deluxe a year ago for $10k, loaded and low miles and couldn't pass it up. I love it, but sometimes find myself reaching for "6th", lol
What a beautiful scenery again. I love your trips. You've always got nice weather, over here we only see rain for months now. Enjoy your rides and be safe, peace ✌️
Rob, new viewer here. I live in Georgetown, just outside of Austin. Have you owned any other BMW’s, e.g., the GS or RT? I’m trying to decide between the 1000XR, 1250RS, 1250 or 1300GS (had an 800 GSA), or another RT. I had a 1250RT and miss it every day, … but that XT!!!
Nice area. Thanks for checking out the channel. The XR is my first BMW. A few years back, si almost pulled the trigger on a 1250GSA So far no issues. The XR is sick. By far the best performing bike I've ever owned.
Right on brotha, im riding the 2022 triple blk XR. I upgraded the seat, added bar risers, and lower footpegs. I also have the low suspension kit. Its cool 😎 seein another brotha riding an absolutely fantastic motorcycle thats NOT a bagger.
Right on! I was completely impressed with the XR after a test ride. I had to add it to the stable. It's a beast and extremely fun to ride. I upgraded the windscreen. I'm about to install the radiator guard and tank pads. I may install some bar risers as well. Great choice my man!
Beautiful part of Texas. I’m in North Texas DFW area. I really enjoy those small towns. Lots of history. Welcome back. Hard work pays off now and in the end. All good. Your BMW S1000XR is a sweet motorcycle.
My buddy and I just did an FL -> Ozarks trip in April. Lots of great areas there, but recommend setting camp for a few days near Jasper. Good rides in any direction. Hwy 74 > 123 > 7 was a sport touring highlight.
Ive had alot of bikes during my 43 rears of riding and my 2011 super tenere is the best out of them all. It does sealed and gravel roads exceptionally well.
I’d have to say that the only concern I have with a Wing is all the covers. I know from owning a few bikes (with far less covers) that doing most maintenance and mods is a pain in the ass. HD is certainly a lot easier to maintain. Also no valve check intervals needed on HD. But other than that the Wing is very appealing in every other feature.
Hi Dear, I hope you are doing well. I am a RU-vid video SEO expert. I was analyzing your RU-vid channel. I am really impressed by your videos, but your RU-vid channel has some issues. You have made many videos, but your RU-vid channel is not getting as many views and subscribers as expected. Because you have no complete SEO for any videos, no channel tags, and no video tags, if you SEO your videos, your subscribers and views will increase, and your channel will grow. Your video quality is very good, but the channel is not increasing due to not doing video SEO. By doing video SEO, the channel grows faster. I can help you if you want.
I have the 22 model, and I put 14k miles on it just commuting to work here in New York. I had a few minor issues, including bending the front wheel when I hit an asphalt hole earlier this month, but that's all! She is still at the dealer to have the wheel repaired because it is on backorder. Can you believe it?
I know what you mean about the Emergency start up. I also own an Indian Chieftain and without the key its a simple 4 digit code on the touchscreen. Practise the code at home in your garage and then its not such a hassle. Also I keep a spare battery for the fob in the cubby at the front dont put it anywhere that locks. Max at Traxxion Dynamics says you don't need to change your Air Filter nearly as often as Honda says and few know the Goldwing like he and his staff does. In fact I'd belive Max before anything Honda says.. I'll be leaving mine till 50K.
Don't forget, the new GW provides you with a warning on the panel when the fob battery is low! Plenty of time ahead of actual failure...if you pay attention to your panel on starts. Good Rides
I would think in court it would help if motorists said they didn’t see you though you were wearing hi viz vs black as it might be legally harder for them to defend their case of not seeing you.
Personally, the longest ride I've done with a passenger on the Super Tenere has been ~5 hours. But I know a couple of guys who have gone on their trips with their wives/gfs. Their passengers were positive about the experience. Of course, its not a goldwing...but its good enough for two up
Thanks for sharing this video. I hope also to do some mototrips this year most of the time it's only work/home relating rides.. Happy New Year to you too! ✌
Nicely done. I have the 2018 tour dct also. At 66 soon to be 67, its become my favorite to ride. Had been mostly Harley for years, but loving the all around comfort and ease of handling.
Great 4 year review. Been on a 23 GW bagger DCT for a year and I love it. The stock seat is comfortable for me also and I can easily last 3 hrs on it compared to 1 hr for the Indian and KTM. That emergency start procedure is bad and hope I never need it! Ride safe from the home of potholes MA.
Hey!! Congratulations on new bike. I think you will enjoy it immensely. I've done 400+ mile day rides on it and wknd tours on it of 1000+ miles nvr a problem. I've changed the seat and I put Wunderlich marathon screen, handlebar risers, oil & radiator guards and adjustable foot pegs. Makes the bike that much better. I retired from NY moved to SC so I know about nice weather. Riding in December is lovely lmao. I live about an hr away from Wunderlich USA in NC so that's like my one stop shop. Enjoy that bike. Good choice 👌. Subscribed.
I hv a 2021 bmw s1000xr in ice grey color and I absolutely love the bike. I've owned only Japanese sportbikes till this point but I'm in my mid 50s now and I didn't want to ride in such a comprised riding position anymore. The XR is fast, comfortable and can carry hard/soft luggage. I did put a Sargent seat on it though to make my experience more comfortable. As for the price of maintenance you are correct it is more expensive but it's the price of admission lol to ride a premium brand like BMW (Big Mother of a Wallet). The bike is up for its 18k service 💰💰but it is what it is. I don't do any of my own service. I used to wrench on my sportbikes/track bikes. But not anymore. Don't have the patience for it. Lol. Have fun, enjoy. Ride safe.
Thank you for the comment. Awesome insight. I pulled the trigger and purchased a 2023 Triple Black XR. I love it. This is by far the best performing bike ive owned. I love the fact that this bike is fast and its also a very capable touring bike. Yes you are right this is definitely a premium bike. I need to save my $$$$ for the 18k service lol. Enjoy the holiday season and be safe!
Wow, your first European motorcycle. Nice. You manage to keep some gods ones, at times I wish I had that discipline. I’ve had my share of BMW motorcycles and will attest to their reliability, just keep within service interval and enjoy the comfort of the 3 year, 36,000 mile warranty and if she’s good after that then consider keeping her. I generally sell or trade them before have. Really premium motorcycles. Enjoy.
What a great bike! You got a dope collection of bikes what a great taste! Again a beautiful scenery hope someday also we can meet and take a trip. Who knows 🤷🏽♂️ Take care and be safe! Peace ✌
