Happy you untucked the shirt and yeah, just let me know ow not to buy. I was looking at the same shirt in cinnamon but I like fitted tops. Figs Inhala is slim fit. I have big boobs, I don’t need the shirts just hanging off of them. I hate that. I’m not trying to look like a nun or that I’m wearing a garbage bag with pockets. The pants seem great, but they need slim fit tops
Hey, fellow pain management NP here, any resources or certifications that you have completed for pain management? That is messed up...sounds like they lost a good one. Ps..I miss the 3 day schedule too. 😢
I don't know if NP is Worth spending all my life time for because i have tried youtube I associates and some others and still failed 4 attempt. I feel so frustrated don't know what to do anymore don't even have time for my own kids anv more💔💔💔😔😔
I have a cousin who never studied much, we studied together but she gives most of her time to her phone than her studies after writing the ANCC test last month she passed and i failed😢, i asked her how she did it, just found out she got help from Mr Richard
@@sidneymonica thank you so much for your encouragement. Between your encouragement and my night on the floor at the nursing home last night , I feel really encouraged to set a goal with this. So happy 4 u
I think you will ! Nurses are definitely getting paid more now. Also depending on where you work and the state the pay can vary. Best of luck on your journey
No justification needed. Sharing my experience for those that are In a similar situation or to avoid being in that situation. As I said young, black, female minorities should set high standards for themselves. No hard feelings it’s just business
What’s your opinion on Pediatric Nurse Practitioner? I feel this is my passion but scared because I’m not sure if they’re in high demand. Maybe I should just do FNP as a safety net?
FNP’s can work with newborns all the way to older adults. So that would be a good options. Pediatric is a sub-specialty so you can work in peds as an FNP. The program requires pediatric clinical hours as well. I’m not sure if there is a whole program dedicated only to pediatric. Hope that was helpful
Very informative video. Thank you. Any advice for someone aspiring to become a NP in nephrology? I would eventually want to look into opening up my own clinic much much further down the line, btw. Thank you.
You most welcome 🫶🏽 I would say the options are limitless, NP are needed at most primary and specialty offices. I would advise considering which setting in nephrology ( inpatient or outpatient) which determines the education route and Clincal requirements. Further, maybe working in nephrology as an RN to see if you like it. That’s a fantastic long term goal to open your own practice. I wish you the very best in your career and future goals.
This video isn’t an accurate depiction of how things actually go, even if however you “feel” as tho they should. Everyone knows the medical field compensates off time in service not feelings. There’s no way you or any new NP even if you have your doctorate and training to be paid like an NP of 15+ years knock it off‼️
I hear you ! And we are all entitled to our own opinions and feelings. However, we are living in a new era, inflation is at in all time high and medical professionals should get paid accordingly and to their worth ijs …
@@sidneymonica I don’t disagree with that not even 1 bit. I personally work in federal corrections so we don’t have a pay or hrs issue. It’s there whenever however you want it. My remark was in regards to you feeling as tho you deserve to get paid what others make that’s been in the field 10+ years longer than you because you’re trained and educated and we both know it doesn’t work that way. Even tho like you I’d like for that to be the case… good luck in your journey tho
Hi there! Love your drive to challenge yourself. Just curious to know what advantages in gaining positions or autonomy do you see in Masters NP vs Doctorates NP?
Thank you 🫶🏽 !! For me, not that I have a desire to be in a leadership position or run a facility at this time, but with the DNP that is possible. I pursued the DNP of course to challenge myself and it made sense to do a 3 year bridge vs 4years if I where to do it separately
can i ask how long the dissertation was for the doctorates...and also was the doctorates harder or easier than the msn? my main concern is...i get good grades, attending one of the most competitve nursing schools, but the more i learn the more i feel inadequate...sigh...my professors and preceptors are SUPER SMART, well spoken...im no where near that level. keep doubting if i can ever be a good np.
Dissertation required a whole semester ( 4 months) to complete. I would say they are both challenging. A lot of writing and research for Both. In addition to clincals and didactic courses. Trust me school is only the foundation once you are working that’s where the real knowledge and experience comes in. I felt the same way, now I am a skilled and confident provider. You got this, keep going !!
@@FromQnz2Kingnurse practitioner is a healthcare provider. They can specialize in fields like a medical doctor. Like cardiac NP, or psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, etc. they do almost everything a doctor can (prescribe meds, refer them to other specialists, etc.).
Wow Fantastic! 👏🏽 I love to hear it, keep it up, you’ll be an NP in no time. I wish you the best of luck on your transition too getting your RN. Congratulations!!
Sidney, do you offer one on one mentorship sessions? I would love to ask questions about your nursing journey/DNP program! I look up to you and would love to learn from you!
Every time I find myself doubting my ability to finish school I come back to your channel. I've been a CNA for 11 years (too long lol) and I'm currently back in college taking my pre reqs for my ADN in nursing. I plan to get my BSN at Capella shortly after graduating but my ultimate goal is my DNP. I traveled as a CNA for a year and I wish I had invested my money. Investing, stocks and all that stuff is so convoluted to me. Could you do a video on your investments? :)
Thank you for so much for your support. I love to hear that your continuing your education, it can be challenging but so worth it, keep going 👏🏽 I sure will make videos on my investment journey
Really. We’re all over worked and under paid. What’s the big deal regarding working five days a week? This generation has to many demands. Job hopping is not the answer. Pick a career because you enjoy the work ( helping people/giving back) not for the money.
@@pamperry5082 hmmm. In todays world where cost of living is rising, the amount of money you earn is an important factor to living a comfortable life. And a big contributing factor to job satisfaction is being paid a fair salary. When you’re not you can feel dissatisfied in your work and burn out. These are some of the points I have heard from Sidney’s video and I agree with that. There are just too many opportunities in healthcare to settle for more work and less pay in comparison to what is being offered elsewhere.
Hey 👋 I’m Don -If you’re prepared for a husband that will help you out with the stress of life. Your very best will always be rewarded in gods eye and your family! My mom and entire family works in the health care field and they never get enough money for helping others. They care about the blessings that they are giving. But congratulations 🎊 to you in prayer. This is why it’s hard for us to find good black medical professionals. They got to have all the money 💰 before they serve you and they don’t want to come to work 5 days a week like normal human beings. Faithless is priceless my sister.
Hey Don ! Bless your family for giving their all to healthcare and being ok not getting compensated for all their hard work. We are living in a different time now, I have high standards for myself and very educated so you better believe I won’t accept anything but my worth. Especially as a black female as I stated.
I agree ! Been doing this since I was 17, started from a CNA to LPN to RN to MSN to DNP. Takes a special person and real passion to continue in nursing and still going 🫶🏽
