Haha in the first five minutes: This is insane! It gets better and better. Ren is something else, and E v e r y detail is purposeful, everything is done perfectly. Ren and his team are one of a kind, in their own genre. It's Bardcore. Just a thought, but if no one had these struggles, no one would be stronger for it. Nothing so creative would made. It's not a positive thing, but the positivity we can gain from struggling with mental or physical health, without that, we wouldn't get so far, we'd mostly give in. There's nothing to fight for! Fun Reaction! I usually look for reactors that are going to sob as hard as I do on stuff like this, but it's also fun to just sail through a gushing technical appreciation. I've got your next PROJECT BAND. These guys came around when I was in high school in the early-mid '70's, called CRACK THE SKY. The put out three albums of progressive story telling "rock", that are like a room full of Rens! In the middle of the third album the lead singer/song writing hub of the band had a breakdown, while Life Song Records screwed them royally! They have their own RENigade cult following, and deserved so much more, but like REN, are an intense niche. You're going to hear syncopation gamed to levels you can't imagine, and if you thought REN was like watching a movie, wait until you get a load of these guys. Mental and social health are a core theme in their catalogue. You could make a career for a while going through everything in their first three albums. Some of the stuff is couple-medley'd. I don't know if you're into album reactions, but these three, heralded by their self titled first album was Rolling Stone's debut album of the year. Welcome to the Genius of Ren. My suggestion is that you try 'Sick Boi' next. Then hit 'Tale of Jenny and Screech (Full)'. Finally, react to 'Money Game 1, 2 and 3'; the final video is a masterpiece in line with 'Hi Ren' and the 'Tales' trilogy. I also have watched MANY Hi Ren reactions and yours has been one of the best. One thing nobody mentions is how he doesn't play the last note, like his oration at the end was his last note. This kid (I say kid because my kids are his age) is the most talented and humble musician and artist I've experienced in ...well, ever! Kudos. I'm a new sub today.
I love that you care so much about lyrics. BTS covers so many things in their songs. Social anxiety, depression, societal pressure on young people etc. You should check out "Blue & Grey".
Well said. I've heard the song about 50 times in the past few days (can't get it out of my head) and I've see 20 reaction videos. You have a great perspective on the song and you hadn't even finished it. Great video!

You interrupt the song and talk over it so much you lose all the meaning it’s no wonder you completely miss the point. I get that you like the sound of your own voice but sometimes it’s better to just shut up and listen, you might just learn something. Totally unwatchable 👎
That's the thing, BTS are not Kpop. They just work in Kpop industry but they go beyond Kpop, Kpop is not even about music- it's mostly about pretty faces, trendy & edgy outfits, cool hairstyles & hair colours, and random catchy music with stupid lyrics. And the Kpop idols do not make their own songs they don't even make the decisions to what consept they would go for, Kpop is supposed to be dumb. That's Kpop. BTS never fitted into this "Kpop mould" that's why they are also the most hated group by Kpop community yet the most loved by real music fans.
This comment won´t probably be seen anymore and your reaction was wonderful but maybe don´t use the word "insane" when talking about mental illness. I have DID, which is different from Ren´s psychosis and other troubles (although we also share autoimmune disease) , but I slightly flinched when you said "insane" since the inner process of the song feels so close to home.
I've got a request Blake. Could you consider listening to the full MV first, and then pausing it through second lesson? You're missing some nice bits by pausing and might get more out of these amazing guys ♡ thank you!
