Hello Rex, I have been curious and haven't found out definitively. Does the Cowboy e10k have regenerative braking that will slow you down as you let off the accelerator? That's a question none of the advertisements and documentation seem to mention. I would like it for down steep hills. Can you answer this? Still watching for your next video. Thanks.....

@@jlfliberty As best as I understand it.... it's only under braking where it's regenerative. So as long as you're on the brakes, the kinetic energy is being recovered. Hey Rex, Another update. A buddy and I went on a local 4-wheel trail today, 6-7 on a 10 scale. It was a fairly steep grade with LOTS of rocks (up to basketball and bigger) . I was taking it easy, 3-4 MPH when about a mile into the trail everything just stopped. No forward, just a little reverse. I got turned around and was feeling lucky that there was a lot of downhill back to the shop. After just a few minutes, the screen blinked, and all was well again. We came back to the road, went about two miles and went on another much gentler trail 4-5. But we still were pulling some grade and driving slowly. Everything blinked out again a couple of times and my buddy, an electrician, guessed that the problem was overheating, perhaps in the throttle pedal? When this happened, we'd let it set for just a few minutes and all would be well. We had no problem at all back on the road for the ten miles home. Have you heard about this? Thanks B

Well, I’ve contacted the company and have received some information. I will share below regarding the screen. I received the manual from the company electronically and would be happy to forward it to anyone if they also need it. It turns out there are a lot of features on the screen and it’s almost like an iPad. I’m still finding out more but to set the clock or do other things with Internet or Bluetooth, you swipe down on the middle of the screen [CORRECTION- SWIPE AT VERY TOP OF MIDDLE SCREEN- DO IT TWICE] and you’ll see a clock on the left side immediately pull down on the clock and it’ll open a Settings menu which takes you to various settings and apps that might be applicable. I was able to set the clock, and also it appears to have a memory in which it saves photographs of your rearview camera and up to five gig of memory. The potential of this device is therefore great as it appears to be almost designed for a car and using Apple car or other devices, as if there were speakers, and you would play your music onto the screen. Please let me know if anyone has started a blog of Candy owners and I think we can show share these tips. But once again, in the meantime, thanks very much for these videos as you have started the ball rolling.

How cool! I have the owners manual, but there's no real details on the screen functions. Facebook does have a KANDI Cowboy owners group/community. Thank you for the informative update! I will sit down with it and try to learn a little more about it and share what I find. ✌️

@@thekingrexway they are supposed to be getting back with me on information about Bluetooth and maybe the app. One of the specification says and in the manual that you can use the app to “remotely control the vehicle. To power on and off” - p.13 not sure what that means but I’m hoping they can get me an answer as the first person didn’t know either. I was unable to find a way to connect my phone to the unit. Do you recall how you did that?

It connected through my Bluetooth. The dealership may have set it up for me. Not sure.

If you don’t mind, I will just add comments to the various videos on new information. I find unless there’s something more direct that you would like me to do such as to send it to you directly and then you can report it. I have a feeling there’s a lot more features that we don’t know about that are on this thing. If you prefer me to do a video, I can also do that and post it. One of the things that I expect to do soon is to remove the back up alarm as I don’t think it makes a lot of sense in the woods and I’d like to let people know how to do that. I’m guessing the only way to get into the front battery is remove all the screws. There’s no actual simple way like lifting a hood.?

Yeah... unfortunately it's a lot of screws. You can find me at thekingrexway.com And posting from another perspective is a thing.

Thanks for these videos. Just bought . Have you figured out if there is any sort of app that connects to the device and how do you change the clock?

Congratulations. No app that I am aware of. My clock changed to reflect daylight savings time on it's own. That could be because it's synced up with my phone. There is still a lot I don't know with this machine. Learning as I go and from the comments of viewers. Thanks for watching ✌️
