Hi Folks , my channel is all gaming and currently consists mainly of Days Gone content . If there are any Days Gone challenges & hordes that you need tutorials, tips and advice on, then you have come to the right channel. Not only are my videos now showing in full 1080p at 60fps for the Days Gone content, they are also the most up to date . I hope you all enjoy them.
Fantastic video boris you too😢him out instantaneous better than I did even with first method wich was great you don't don't need the second love how your mind works top notch 👍
How funny and unexpected! Breaker went KABOOM! Just like that! 💥 😁 Brilliant methods, both, thank you! I don't play on very difficult mode so I don't need a foolproof method for this mission. I just rely on investing in focus and the best weapons available at this point in the game, and maybe a bear trap or two next to an explosive, and the combination usually does it nicely. I used to fear the breaker, I once even asked my son to complete the mission for me. But practice made me braver, and now it's no big deal anymore. 😅
Oh, wow! This mission scared the crap out of me. I literally thought I won't be able to kill this f*cker, BUT after seeing a certain someone's video I killed him next try 😀 I really like different freakers in this game, the Screamer is terrifiyng, cause when she can't see you, she sings to herself very human-like, that's disturbing. Great video as always, Boris!
Its time to play new games on this channel. We would love to see your gameplay for Last of us series. You have great gaming techniques. And it will be fresh content and will bring more new subs for you as well.
I have encountered a situation where the hidden hostage mission was not there. There was no freaker there. I still went down to check the place out but it was empty with just the loot. However, i got lucky with a random hostage situation and i was able to get the last upgrades to the bike. Another point to note, please do check out the 'visual' section of the bike at the diamond lake garage, there are more bike parts which give you more damage reduction (like 'wheels' which is actually an upgrade to your rim of the wheel, exhaust tip, front fender , and shroud) which don't show up in the 'performance' section. These are very cheap parts which range from free to 800 credits, i my memory serves right
Well I be fucked. Never thought about the residue bolt on the heavy guy. Great vid Boris. I am back playing but practicing before I do another playthrough
@borislav247 I loved the "Not So Conventional Method"! I have tried setting traps before at the dam that you blow up when riding with Boozer to confront Carlos later in the storyline. [I did this with the Lost Lake + Iron Butte sequence break that you and Grey Ghost showed recently.] Sadly, the traps de-spawned by the time I unlocked that mission. I am thinking that there may be some kind of hidden "time limit" to how long you can leave traps before they disappear? 🤔
You actually didn't need to do the last fuel up. Once the mission starts, you have infinite fuel. I believe all of the scripted missions are like this so you can't fail due to a dry tank. Are there any other missions where you can prepare the site before starting? I know that some missions reset the location items and remove placed items when you instantiate them. Fun video! lol
Borislav said that he would show the Carlos dam mission soon with that strategy. I tried it myself and the traps de-spawned, but that was immediately after Copeland's Camp unlocked using the early Lost Lake + Iron Butte sequence break.
You are right my friend, I didn't need to fuel up, but it's just a habit with me. And yes, more missions certainly can be prepared like this, the Dam one especially. That's another video for another day my friend.
@@JBost-en9tq Yes, the time you placed them is probably the problem here. If you set them up just before the trip into Iron Butte with Skizzo, they stay where you place them, and make that mission a LOT easier.
Hey Boris. I have been enjoying your videos and I have attempted some of your ''easy'' ways of clearing hordes. Massive fail hahaha you play like a pro dude. When I arrived at the plane I hid in bushes on the right of your character at the end of cut scene and molotovd the breaker, he had no idea I was there. Very easy.
Just love method 2 , it was totally unexpected and extremely effective ! Another thing I like about your work arounds is that they don't break the game. Totally awesome video my friend ! 👍👍
Very kind words as always my friend, thank you FM. All the upcoming missions that I am showing will eventually be used in a new playthrough next year where I will completely destroy this game in a way that will make the game far easier for everyone.
@@borislav247 Yes, that would be fantastic! I would love to see you speedrun this game (in Survival 2 of course) where no weapons or tactics are off the table. A sort of complement to your recently completed Extreme Playthrough.
Wow that Breaker didn't stand a chance in the end! Fell right where he killed the freak! Amazing to watch a legend play, you even thought about that fast travel opportunity. Btw that petrol pump near iron Butte, not sure if you are aware but I saw someone do an easy kill from inside that building, he walked up a conveyor belt and the horde kept walking up and falling through the roof!
Yes, I think I saw the same video. However, if I remember correctly, it does not count as a "kill" for the Iron Butte Horde (since it is beyond their geographical boundary), and they will respawn when you go back there. I can't remember if you are able to collect the freaker ears though.
Brilliant. In another video you intimated that once you're in this region you can also go to Carlos' house and seed that with a few explodables too to aid your progress later in the game. A great strategy indeed :)
Thank you John, and yes, Carlos's compound can be messed about with also. Not that much is needing done there for the stealth escape, but one nice remote bomb placed at a certain spot makes this mission a doddle, lol. That's a future video John.
Totally brilliant! I'm so happy that the "prep" actually survives the mission triggers!! It gives me hope for that AWFUL Sniper mission at the dam! 😉Which, I have a feeling is a future video...😝😆 Have a good one, my friend! 👍👊
Thank you my friend, and you are a mind reader. That video is actually finished, and the dam is now a far easier affair, lol. Not only that though, but you can place items in Carlos's compound, so the stealth escape can now be made much easier with one well placed remote bomb. Future videos to come indeed my friend.
@@borislav247 LOL, I just commented on the same thing before reading this comment. Like Grey Ghost, I would love to see that work. It didn't for me when I planted the traps very early (after breaking into Iron Butte right after Copeland's Camp unlocks), but maybe if you do it before triggering the actual mission, it may be successful?
One of the tips they give you during loading screen tells you that fire weakens breakers. There’s also a skill that lets you do more damage after a melee. So you can hit him with a Molotov then a melee and finish with a sniper head shot. Maybe it’s too early for the skill upgrade and a good sniper unless you’re playing new game plus though.
The exploration and planning you do in this game is second to none and expertly executed. Something I have noticed, and I can't stop hearing it now, you do say 'basically' alot, 24 in this vid I think. 😊. Well done my friend, you are most entertaining.
Thank you Darryl, and I do need to stop saying that so much. It used to be the word "folks", which I still use, but I've had someone else also mention about the word "basically" that I use a lot.
@@borislav247 it's a thing, I had a phrase I often said at work, never realised it until it was pointed out to me. Folks, me included, watch your vids for the commentary also, it's what makes it so good really. 😁👍
Great video as always Boris 👍🏻 Do you think you'll be doing any more dead island 2 videos soon? There's an update coming at the end of the month which has a horde mode.
This horde can sometimes be a pain to catch in. Easiest way to get them is this. Head to the cave during the day, then make sure to park the bike around 100m from the cave, and then make a game save. Now just keep reloading from this game save, and you will get them.
I'm guessing someone has already discovered this: the Nero injector site at the Iron Butte Ripper RV Ambush Camp can also be accessed by rock climbing. It's to the right of the site and just before you enter the camp. The right path gets you just above the helo area.
One day I'll find something no one else has.... LOL. In the interim, thanks for all your work. You've brought a lot of people together watching the videos.
I found myself happening upon a very odd method of killing this horde. I did one of the Nero spying missions, right at the gas station where their feeding ground is. The Nero soldiers can't die, and they don't leave until after you return to the bike. So they killed every single Freaker while I sat on the roof, watching.
Superb my friend. I know the Nero mission, and of course, at night, this area is their feeding area, so the Nero lot ain't going to show this lot any mercy, lol.
Starting @13:28 I am amazed how brilliant the game design is: it's almost never just plain horde hunting - it seems like the game dev's might have thought "Well let's see what the game can throw at you while taking out the horde(s)" And out of the blue Molotov comes flying your way and next thing you know is you are surrounded by the horde. It's just awesome in my book. GREAT video again, Boris.
Great video boris great information cheers. I just started a new game plus using crossbow and rock chuck . I went and got superior axe .I went to bare bay ambush camp thought I could pick up hemlock but it's still locked till you do mission. Was gutted thought it would of been unlocked in new game plus in your inventory hemlock is saying discovered
I found another way to do this that's a bit safer: no need to track from the bike, you don't need to take out the sniper, the guys at the back nor get near the horde like that. If you look at the map at the O'leary mountain base and scroll south you'll see a big clearing in the trees, that's the logging camp. Zoom in on the logging camp. Keep scrolling south from the logging camp and you'll see a smaller clearing with a white bridge. Go to the smaller clearing. Once there, go over to the west side of it but be sneaky on the way to avoid drawing gun fire from the camp. Use the cross bow/an explosive bolt or other explosive to take out the fence - sit back & enjoy the show! When the horde is done either wait as they retreat, take em out with an attractor bomb or any other way. Doing it this way you can bring your bike to the camp too if you'd like, I did - just roll down the area clear of rocks right on into camp. I used incendiary bolt & auto shotgun on the bear...then rode my bike next to Manny on the way back to his bike - seemed to make him move faster than usual to boot 😁🎉
Had a breaker and a reacher waiting for me inside the tent after I killed off the horde. I dropped down and took them with superior axe, but my dumb ass forgot the bike on top of the tent. Gonna be a long walk back to camp 😅 Scratch that, still close enough to it to be able to fast travel to camp
That method is also good Anthony, but this one is simply a lot safer, as the chance of the freakers getting to your position, is a lot less likely than when you are on top of the wood trap. I know this from experience, lol.
I beat this horde only to have them respawn where they started from. This happens every time I kill the horde. They just keep respawning and I never get the credit. WTF
Ok Easton, 2 things to point out here. The first will explain why they keep respawning (and I show a perfect example at the beginning of this video), If you kill this horde outside the Iron Butte Ranch area, the kills count for nothing (you don't even get any freaker ears), and they will always respawn at their pit area. The second thing to point out, is that if you take out this horde early (before the mission comes up that requires you to take out this horde), then you get no confirmation whatsoever. Only if you take them out on the mission given, will you get confirmation. Hope this info helps my friend.
@@borislav247 So they have to be killed in the pit area and not the warehouse which is away from the pit area. I am in that mission now so I have to at this point. Thanks
@@eastonvonschist2283 Yes. The warehouse is no good at all for taking them out. Just clear them in the area with all the explosives and you will be good.
It works on PC! So now that I have my 2 Primary weapons for mid game early, 1 question, do I have to put them in my locker so I don't lose them? Since there is no guns in my locker currently I would have to buy a couple guns and swap them.
Well, any weapons that are in the locker, are weapons that you have either unlocked through Days Gone missions or weapons that have been purchased. Now because the US556 & the MG45 were weapons that were simply picked up, you will never see these 2 in the locker when you get them this way. However, later in the game, you can buy them from Tuckers camp (Hot Springs), if you have trust level 3, and when you purchase them, they will be in your locker, but that is many hours into the game. The only way to keep these weapons when you get them, is to never swap them for anything else. Hope all this helps.
@@borislav247 Yeah it does thanks. I after getting them I played for 1.5 hours before the misson Playing All Night opened up and I went over to that side to fight the Breaker. Since I am on Hard difficulty on my 5th Playthrough, that MG45 was crucial in making quick work of the breaker. Even once you get over there you cant leave the mission zone to go get those weapons.
I picked up this gem during the last Steam sale; just got to Wizard Mountain and met the Witch :) While it has a few small flaws, compared to current day 'open world rpgs', this game is top notch. A big thanks for all the content; I'm selectively working through your library to avoid story/challenge spoilers, but I'll deep dive once I'm into New Game.
