I see so many channels on here now playing Days Gone, and it really just solidifies the fact that a sequel is needed, but sadly we’ll probably never see it. From Sony to the person who wrote the initial review of this game that doomed it from the start, shame on all of them. This is such a wonderful game. The effort Bend put into this game is nothing short of amazing.
I used to sit with my grandfather back in the day and he would tell me stories of growing up in the cold northern part of Wisconsin. His tales, as told in his calm, comforting voice, were endlessly fascinating and left me with some pleasant memories many, many years later. Similarly, relaxing with a drink in hand while Boris spins another Days Gone yarn fills me with a calm peace and puts a contented smile on my face every time, feeling that Life Is Good. He might say “Fuck” a tad more than my ol’ granddad, but he’s sure as hell just as memorable! Cheers, my friend, and thanks for the adventures!
Very decent of you to share that TC. And you are far too kind with your praise. So glad your grandfather didn't swear as much as I do, but of course, he never played Days Gone, lol.
Just to mention my experience with the Cascade rock climb to Lost Lake: -Make sure you have a full tank of gas before attempting the rock climb. I did not find the correct spot right away (Borislav's previous video did not show the water pool, that is extremely helpful), and before I knew it, I had run through most of my gas with the climb. I ended up having to walk the bike for the second half of the trip to Lost Lake, then I continued to walk it to Camp Pioneer and the tow truck for the gas can there. -Frequent autosaves after the initial rock climb near Copeland's camp are a good idea, since you can "fall through" the map if you do not follow the path that Borislav outlined. Had that happen to me several times. -The drop down the rocks into Lost Lake is deadly if you do not land correctly (with both wheels parallel to the ground), it took me a few tries to find the correct path. Since I was out of gas by that point (see above), I could not accelerate forward and I had to modify the path slightly. -Also, the rock climb into Iron Butte is a bit tricky. Make sure to follow Borislav's path exactly, or you will slide down the rocks. Hope that helps anyone having issues. I am breezing through a Hard II playthrough now (just entered Lost Lake officially, lol) with Borislav's method. I might try getting into the Crater Lake region the next time I play.
I loved watching the Iron Butte horde bite the dust in this video. No stamina cocktails, that is impressive! I will be trying that on my next gaming session. 🙂
Brother, I just beat 100% of the hordes and last ambush camp, I wouldn’t have been able without your excellent tutorials. Your walkthroughs are the best I’ve seen in any game ever. I did a few on my own and got my butt handed to me more than a few times! I do appreciate your efforts! I’m a full blown horde hunter now, going to try what I’ve learned from you. I already found quite a few tricks. I was not able to control the bike when rock climbing until I noticed how you let Deacon’s superhuman legs walk the bike up nearly vertical rock faces. I’m using the mechanics of the armored humvees and using bike as a barrier. One thing you said about remote bombs I wholeheartedly disagree with though. I find them almost the most useful explosives. On PS4 I’m able to set them off in sequence I laid them down. I’m pretty sure you can too. So I can set one in their caves then in a line of their paths to me. I can blow each one up as they advance by tapping or blow them all up by holding the right button down a little longer. The recipe for crafting remote bombs is from items easier to acquire as well. The grind to find cans is brutal!!!
Firstly, thank you for the very kind words Steven, you are far too kind with your praise. And honestly mate, the only thing that really bugs me about remote bombs, is the lack of kills you get from them. I love the accuracy you can get from them, but they just don't suit my playstyle. You sound like you are putting them to very good use though. And nice info about the easier resources for them that you mentioned, that's good information to know.
@@borislav247 actually I just found a house with 3 cans to loot which will make crafting attractors much easier to replenish. The house is directly north of Rogue Tunnel checkpoint. 2 in kitchen and 1 outside. Best location I’ve found for cans.
I have never been to the college prior to doing the mission with Sarah. I had no idea the whole area was blocked off like that, I had assumed that the horde simply didn't spawn until you did the mission. You learn so much from Boris' videos. I probably won't ever do a run like this myself, but it certainly makes for a fascinating and entertaining watch. 😀
That was really worth watching Boris. Just finished a marathon session there. First half I'd seen you do before but second half had loads of great new info. Unlocking all the remaining cascade and belknap hordes was a great finisher 👌
Thank you Allan. Tried to make sure this was a very accessable video with the chapters, so people could dial in to the parts they might struggle with. Days Gone well & truly opened up now my friend.
SOLID tutorial (as always). I just followed along and got everything except the optional Iron Butte horde. (I don't yet have Borislav's split-second timing to be able to take on that horde with such low stamina!). Great video as always. Thanks Borislav!
Bored with my current games I decided to play Days Gone for the umteenth time; once completed I saw your video on early access to other areas so I started a new game straight away (on hard this time). I have managed to get all the good weapons. Now , low and behold, you release another brilliant video so once I've completed my current playthrough I'm restarting on survivor difficulty and following this guide 🙂 I come back to this game again and again as seems to suit my 70yr old brain/reflexes 🙂
Incredible! The end-game of this guide not only gives the best melee (with repair capability), but also one of the best horde weapons (RPD)! Personally, though I love the US556, I'd also buy the PPSH-41 as it's comparable and you get it permanently in your locker. Lastly, I'd purchase the top-level Lil' Stubby, an absolute beast from the bike with one-shot freaker & hunting kills to rack up more meat for rep/credits. Nothing more satisfying than rolling up on a Screamer & one-shotting her before she calls her groupies, lol. As always, a joy to watch you work, sir!
Thank you for the kind words Jay, and I absolutely love your suggestions with the weapons. Given I have a LOT of credits when I go to purchase the RPD, I could have easily purchased the other 2 you mention, and like you said, they are then permanently in your locker.
First time playthrough and you get to start it like this, lol, oh you are going to destroy this world my friend. I wish you all the best with your playthrough. Thank you for watching.
Just started playing days gone and I am currently in Iron Butte thanks to your brilliant video. Can’t wait to go through the rest. Really detailed and such a great watch. I’ve watched this twice in full already before I attempted the run. Really enjoyed it Boris, you’re a natural!
another great video boris surprised you didnt show the 2 hidden loot locations in iron butte. the one not far from where you get off the bike you stole after escaping the iron butte ranch at a tent in the rocks and also the look out tower opposite cloverdale
Honestly DJG, the only reason I didn't show them, is because you can only carry so much at this stage in the game, and there are some crazy good spots in Cascade & Belknap. After I had got back from this journey, I was loaded on just about everything, and I also wanted to keep the time on this video down a bit also, but it's still a long one, lol.
@@borislav247 i found what you said about the rimview ranch horde not appearing until after the mount bailey horde being taken out quite curious. one small mistake i did notice was their is actually 7 speakers in spruce lake but one of the marauders hit a explosive crate when the horde came out so it fell on its own. that doesnt always happen so new players might miss it. you can see it on the floor at 1 hour 40 minutes and 12 seconds into the video
Thank you Will. This one is pretty much the game changer of game changers, as the early setup from this video, just puts you in an amazing position for the rest of the game.
Great video, Boris! just my 2 cents: once I gave Copeland the drugs I had a better bike in no time with a bigger tank. But your video is so good that once I have finished my current run, I am doing it all your way. Thanks again!
Yeah, cope's camp does have some good bike parts, but the best fuel tank there is still only around half the capacity of the one you get in the South. You get a nice engine there though after hitting trust level 1.
1:33:10 ish) I love taking this horde out repeatedly when start getting close on trust points. The best method I've found so far is parking the bike next to the humvee that has crates on one side of it. I park the bike on the opposite side of the crates, making that climbable portion inaccessible, then climb on the crates & walk onto the hood of the humvee, save. Couple gun shots, wait for the horde to start hitting the ground and rain bullets. Setting the bike up like that means they can't flank you so you only have to worry about the crate side. When they're all dead, collect ears, refill ammo if needed, climb back up, save & load file - take em out again. Rinse & repeat repeatedly 😁🤓
WHOA!!! I'm still working on getting to the south in my NG+ H2 playthrough (bad migraine put things on hold a while). Anyway, I stopped at Iron Mikes to explore, couldn't do anything except visit mechanic and use the Gun Locker, couldn't even sleep. Just like in the normal playthrough. This matters bc now: I'm at the ripper camp and just saved someone from freakers. Seeing as I did it _AFTER_ visiting Iron Mikes camp, it _did_ allow me to choose between sending him to Copeland's or Iron Mike's - seeing as those are the only two camps I've been inside so far. Fantastic info to have for future playthroughs/building trust before having access if this works in normal playthroughs too. I know you tried in this or the other video but that was _before_ you visited Iron Mike's camp so 🤷♂️ EDIT: After everything above I went down to Diamond Lake & Wizard Island camps as well before heading back up north and continuing the story/game as usual. To give an idea where I'm at in the story I just finished chasing the Nero Helo to the Twin Craters Horde/area & got the Radio left behind. On my way to Marion Forks to look for Lisa, on the way I found another survivor in need of rescue. The options it gave me were: Hot Springs, Copeland's or Iron Mike's I assume it didn't give me the option to send em to the Southern camps bc I'm up north...now that I think on it a second I'm pretty sure that's always the case - please correct me if I'm mistaken. Hopefully someone gets the opportunity to check and confirm whether or not this works via normal playthrough too. Don't see why it wouldn't but there are a lot of things I don't understand about this game, ie why a downed fence sometimes stops a horde in it's tracks 😂 so we'll just need to do it to know for certain
Hello my friend, with this game you have managed to get me to start DG for the 14th time. I too will seek and find ways over the mountains. That makes it fun. I'm already waiting for your next video. Also the length of the video is fantastic. Have a great weekend my friend. See you soon Best regards Bubu👍👍👍👍👍
Well, you’ve done it. You’ve blown the game completely wide open! You’ve done an amazing job here, and adding the chapters is an extremely helpful touch. Bravo on another job well done! And lookee! You’re almost at 10K 🎉 👏🏻
I know you've been very busy exploring this world at the moment Violet, so you probably already know most of what I show on this video, lol. Thank you for you're very kind words as always, and I'm just 3 subs shy of 10K as I type this right now.
@@borislav247 Omg I see 10K now! Huuuge congratulations! So well deserved and I’m so happy for you! The little channel that could, powered by blood, sweat, and a lot of f-bombs 😂 And of course, powered by my favourite game, Days Gone. And you being you 😊 Congratulations again, and here’s to 20K and beyond!
@@VioletJones1999 Oh Violet, you are so kind & very funny with your comments. Thank you so much, as it's having people like you in the Days Gone community, that make it so special. You continue to make me laugh, and I just hope I can continue to entertain (and maybe slightly tone down the language, lol).
@@borislav247 Don’t change a thing! I appreciate a well-placed f-bomb, especially if it’s warranted. This game has given me many “oh fuuuuck” moments, believe me 😂
Such a well put together guide , highly detailed and wonderfully narrated . This video my friend is a Magnum Opus . I don't know what else to say.. Totally awesome my friend !
straight-up rolling into Wizard Island, and the merchant appropriately leads with "i've never seen you around before." don't worry about it bruv, just hook me up with some suppressors xD
"Job done!" Your guide is spot-on, and everything worked as advertised. I'm now the proud owner of the superior axe, RPD, top-tier SMP-9, top-tier Lil' Stubby, PPSH-41, and a max-fuel tank (as well as a few other bike goodies)!! I tried to follow up with the Aspen Butte Ambush Camp, but the map for the camp area wouldn't fully render, and there were no enemies, even though the mission popped up and it shows on the map. Tried reloading a few times to no avail. That's ok....back to Copeland's Camp...I still have Tucker's green box on the back of my bike, lol. Thanks once again!
Great video, well done and very entertaining presentation. All the more reason to play this wonderful game again and follow your example. This allows for completely new challenges at the start of a new run, and you really don't need a NG+ game anymore, as it's definitely obsolete now. The icing on the cake was: "Yeah, they really don't learn ! Bring melee weapons to a gunfight. It's only going end one way." 😎
Thanks for this brother. So once I got everything you should I got to fast travel back to cooplins. What a awesome way to play around with days gone . Favorite game by far thanks brother
Thorough very thorough. You dah man! You actually can send survivors to Lost Lake, but you have to visit the camp first and then afterwards you can send them there. Not sure if you have to use the mechanic to tigger it, cause I used it for the gas, but maybe? Someone said somewhere that Canadian's call gas petrol. Maybe they do in eastern Canada but out west we say gas. Lol not sure why I felt the need to clarify that? This stuff is crazy now! I just spent the last two days doing my own over-powered run. I was having a ton of fun but I just now entered Lost Lake legitimately and some of the spark died. 😂😂😂 Otherwise I was busy taking out hordes in new and inventive ways with my crazy heavy guns! Such fun! I wouldn't have continued to play the game without your tutelage Boris so all the props to you Prof. Thank you sincerely. Two last things, you can drop into the Theilsen Pass if you go left instead of straight before you ride into the little valley before the southern area. You can also drop into Lost Lake just behind the Sawmill if you continue north just a bit more. Both drops are less harsh on the bike and Deke. Just wanted to share a little knowledge of my own. ☺
there are a lot of insane things going on here, and i can't wait to try all of them. i've got a fresh GOG copy of the PC version of the game, and i think i'm going to follow this in detail on my first playthrough of that version -- should be a lot of fun!
Oh DNB, you WILL have a lot of fun, and being able to eventually go around Cascade like a mad man early game without having to worry about fuel is quite surreal my friend.
Hey 👋🏻 Boris awesome video my friend. This is definitely a good video for someone to watch and follow to get Deacon in a Bad Ass way with gear and such right at the beginning of the game. 😃👍🏻👍🏻
Oh my friend, the game is now starting to get properly destroyed in terms of difficulty, as the chance to get this much power so soon, means the masses should start to roll over this amazing game. Thank you for watching Shannon, most appreciated mate.
Decided to do this during my NG+ Playthrough. Obviously I don't need to go for the weapons, bike parts etc as I've already got all that. I was hoping having trust level 3 would change things & I'd be able to buy mag upgrades & such, it didn't. Oh well, still worth opening Iron Butte Nero checkpoint so I can fast travel to & fro when I reach lost lake - I'm hoping to make good use of all the explosives this playthrough so it'll be worth hitting the Iron Butte premade loot locations repeatedly EDIT: Thanks to another comment on here I learned the merchant at Wizards Island _is_ there (idk if I zoned out & missed it in the video or not) but I was able to buy mag upgrades for those weapons so yay!
There are also other guns that can be found, the Eliminator and Crowd Breaker, which can be obtained early in the game. The Eliminator is in the Iron Butt, and the Crowd Breaker is located south of Highway 97, and is also Free.
@@borislav247 It is near the Nero Checkpoint of Iron Butte. When you get there, go a little north. There will be a yellow Fram house. If you want to understand more easily, it is the point where you must enter together with Skizzo while you encounter the Ripper standing in front of the fire. When you get there, go to the parking lot where there will be 1 red sedan and 1 white pickup truck, a total of 2 cars, parked there. When you get there, you will not see it because it is a random event. If I may recommend, go at night. Find the bed that was previously the Nero Checkpoint and sleep overnight, but it must be at night. When night comes, look at the map. Is there a pattern like this ” ? “ If it is at the yellow house, hurry up and go. You will encounter a group of 4 enemy survivors and 4 more Rippers, totaling 8. There will be gunshots before you see the 2 groups fighting. When you find them, kill the 4 enemy survivors. They will drop all 4 Eliminators. You will get them. Be careful Freakers will attack you more. ( Save your game before going to bed, just in case )
If Boris can get this much content out of Days Gone stop and imagine what he'd do with Red Dead Redemption 2! Great video as usual man! It's actually making me wanna play the game again!
Ha! I knew you'd do this. Now your training videos are updated accordingly. You just rule, Borislav! @9:37 Btw, I died there many times because I either landed on another rock face or simply face down but I have always made quicksaves so I have always started up above again and not in the Cascades. So ye jolly folks do the quicksave!!!
Let's see if Boris can get to 10k subs, he deserves it and more! This guide couldn't come at a better time for me. I just finished my latest play through and I'm ready to start again. Can't wait to start going South for these goodies :)
It's a blast heading South this early, and so much safer with a limited amount of dangerous animals to contend with (just wolves & criers). Thank you for your kind words John, most appreciated.
This is like adding a new level to Days Gone Boris, excellent work. Cant wait to try it out. I will probably be cursing as I flip Deek off the rocks a time or to but it will be worth it.
These ones are proper game changers now Paula, the RPD especially. Holds an insane amount of ammo, and is a beast when it comes to destroying hordes. The Days Gone world is getting well and truly destroyed now.
@@borislav247 When I have a few hours to continue my current Hard II run, I will see if it might be possible to hit Level 2 trust at Wizard Island while there with the rock climb method. I really want that 50 cal rifle, it would make things very easy in Lost Lake.
@@borislav247 I had no idea that the RPD was superior to the MG45. I usually skip it since by the time I enter the South the normal way, I am very close to unlocking the MG55, which I love. Still, having the RPD early will make the north of the map a breeze.
@@JBost-en9tq I can save you the time here JB, it's simply not possible. As you have no missions & can't trade freaker ears or meat, you are relying on ambush camps, hordes and infestation nest zones to build up the trust. I took out everything to check this out & still fell well shy of trust level 2. If it had been possible, another video would have been coming from me, lol.
Taking out the Chemult College horde was fun. I did fall off the rock and couldn't recover the bike because the cursor would jump back to the region I was supposed to be in. I just kept walking around the rock pressing the square (PS5) until he just leaps back up there. Whew! Also when ya come out of Diamond Lake camp to the right of the main entrance drive to those 3-4 burnt out buildings on your right and there's a gas (or petrol, if you prefer) can in there. Just info for those of you that hate wasting credits on buying gas in the early stages of the game. I have my fuel can locations just outside of every camp just for that purpose 😆🙃
Oh indeed Becks, and it gets better, as you can get close to fully upgrading the bike with all the best parts. I go into more detail on that on the follow up video to this one, but it's linked at the end of this video if you want to go further with the advantages. Happy exploring Becks.
@@borislav247 thank you buddy really enjoyed my time in the South explored as much as i could before returning back to Copelands happy that I got all 3 best weapons il tagged you in my vid
I don’t use PlayStation, mostly Xbox but your channel has made me want to get the game and try it on a PS5 pro, based on graphics alone much less the story and gameplay. Looks like I’m gonna be 600 poorer soon
You're timing could be really good, as apparently, a remaster is in the works for Days Gone. Not sure if this is true, but it's being talked about a lot right now.
@@borislav247WOW!. What a journey!. After several heart attacks, anxiety attacks and countless auto saves later, I’ve finally returned back to Copeland’s camp. After 11 hours of following your guide (Please don’t judge 😄), I actually feels like I’ve finally returned home haha. Thankyou Boris for your content, it was a hell of a gaming experience!. Now it’s time to unleash. Thanks again
That was legendary boris well worth waiting for very impressive definitely doing another playthrough just one question why you think spruce lake ambush camps available and others are not .legend regards ian 👍
Thank you for the kind words Ian. And there's only 2 ambush camps that ain't available, both the ones in Iron Butte. A really strange one, as all the rest are available to take on.
Started this today, and having followed your methods to get to the south, i've been taking out the camps in my own fashion. But just wanted to say that I've taken out the Rimview hoarde, and not the Mt Bailey as yet. So that must just be luck/bad luck I think.
Indeed Mark, or, might have something to do with the Wizard Island & Diamond Lake camps. Did you go to any of these before going after the hordes?. Just asking, as I feel this could be a factor. Until you have been to these camps for example, any hostages that you find will not be given the choice to go to any of these 2 camps until you have first visited them, so maybe the Rimview Ranch horde is locked until you visit one or both of these camps.
@@borislav247 I had opened both camps by that time. Wizard Island early as I needed suppressors, then Diamond Lake after I'd had two rescue missions that only gave WI as an option. I had left Rimview quite late, having already taken out the 4 hordes in Highway 97. Could that be the factor?
@@borislav247 Now that I think about it, it makes sense that is when both camps have been visited. On a 'normal' game you arrive in the south and have to do the Kouri & meet the colonel missions, opening both camps. After which I have taken out the Rimview horde quite quickly.
@@markryde9825 It could be mate. I still think the camps are the main factor here, so I just need to check this out. But thanks for that info there mate, most appreciated.
9:40 ish) I could not get the bike to land well here! Tried & died a few times, then I guess the game took pity on me bc I tried, looked like I died but Deek got up with Zero health & a destroyed bike but the game let me stay where I was to heal & fix bike 🎉 EDIT: oh! And to avoid starting over, I just saved before taking the leap of faith & reloaded my game each time Deek died.
That's bloody good thinking there L8D. Honestly, when I was recording all this, I saved every time before starting each part. Just saved a lot of time in case anything went wrong.
I just finished my second play-through and I have only now discovered the New Game Plus sniper rifle. How did I miss that it was a thing? The ammo looks quite interesting. Think I'll try out the gas rounds on some of the end-game hordes that I haven't cleared up yet. Edit: Crikey, two shots with gas rounds took out about 2/3 of the Solomon Hill horde. This thing is seriously OP!
What difficulty are you playing on? I used in my NG+ Normal playthrough & felt super confident starting my NG+ Hard II...now idk if it glitched or barely does anything on this difficulty but I'm rethinking my life choices 🤣🍻
@@Lady8D Think I was playing NG+ on regular difficulty. The gas cloud seemed to kill any freakers it touched, so if you could get them bunched up enough it was super-effective.
@bogdanzelca7788 What does frog jump mean? Also, how does one do it in this game? First time I've heard the term & it's making me imagine Deek playing Leapfrog with the Freakers 🤣
Something very minor. When you first get to Diamond Lake to upgrade the bike you skipped over Nitrous. I followed your guide (second time now as trying to finish whole game no deaths) and Nitrous 1 is available at this point and its even free, you just need to equip. Have a screenshot if you want it.
I will be honest, I will be doing a full playthrough where I show the best way of taking on this entire game with every advantage Days Gone gives , but, this won't be happening until next year mate.
I would buy the PPSH too for the locker and bring back the US556 so I would have a fallback if I switched to the auto shotgun. I like the SMG's and use them before the lower assault rifles. I really dislike the MWS.
Probably the one thing I should have included was also purchasing the PPSH. It is a fantastic backup, and I had plenty of credits. I actually could have picked up a few weapons, lol.
@@borislav247 Easy for me to say having a beer watching your (weeks of?) work! You should just say "Feck off you armchair critic" 😀 Thanks for the hard work, much appreciated. You've given my replays a whole new lease of life.
@@damienoconnor8898 I'm so glad to have stumbled upon your comment! I didn't realize the merchant was available down south so was planning to grab the axe & split - playing NG+ Hard II so now I'm definitely gonna be stopping in to buy some mag upgrades wahoo! 😁
I've managed to get to Diamond Lake on Survivor 2 but are now wondering if I can take on any of the required hordes using the easy kill locations as on this difficulty everything is a bullet sponge - I'm scared of being stuck on a rock and out of ammo. Any advice? I didn't attempt the trip until I managed to get the first level of bike upgrades at Copeland's Camp and get a few health injections as the fall into Lost Lake can be a Killer - not to mention instant death from a random wolf pack attack.
Well mate, in regards to the hordes, the easy kill locations are great, but if you do run out of ammo, you can always run away and simply restock, as there are a GREAT amount of police vehicles in the South to loot. Also, don't be afraid to use throwables (especially for the big hordes, Mt Bailey, Lobert & Rimview). Just take your time and enjoy the experience. The fact that you only have wolves to contend with (and no Breakers, screamers or Reachers) does make the jobs a bit easier.
I was expecting this video to be like give drugs to tucker for guns, here's 4 easy hordes to kill for the smg sidearm.... Wtf dude that was insane! How come you never bought the ppsh though? you had loads of money 🧐
Very good question David, and would have made perfect sense, as eventually, the Auto shotgun would be unlocked, and when this happens, the moment you use the Auto Shotgun, you would lose the US556 as it's not purchased or unlocked. I probably should have purchased it, just as a nice backup, but I always favour the US556 as it has better range and is far more accurate. The PPSH is a more powerful weapon though. You are right mate, I should have bought it.
Boris, what would be your best recommendation for getting a good (or at least decent) sniper rifle as early as possible? I'd love to get that BFG50 from Wizard Island...but I suspect there's not enough Trust points available until those missions actually open up. Thoughts?
Well Tony, you are right on the money about the BFG. It's locked behind trust level 2 at Wizard Island, and there simply isn't enough things to do to get the trust to level 2 there (and I've tried, fell a few thousand short). The only early option is the M40 sniper rifle. Not a fantastic weapon, but with a suppressor on it, and some unlocked skills from the skill tree, it becomes a good option if you crave the use of a sniper rifle. Even in Lost Lake, the first decent sniper rifle is the C8, but it's also locked behind trust level 2 there, so simply can't be got early. In a nutshell Tony, a good sniper rifle simply isn't available early. Even the ambush camps in the south seem to be using M40's. But, if I find a camp (or an enemy anywhere else in the game) that uses a better sniper rifle, I will let you know mate.
@@borislav247 Thanks for such a complete answer. I appreciate your insights! On a related note, have you noticed any glitches in the Story after accessing these areas early? I used my new "OP Deacon" to start a new playthrough and found that the Story is broken in Lost Lake. (Specifically, the mission for Addy where you get the Liston knife from Sherman's camp is glitched. The case is already broken into and the knife is gone. So I'm unable to progress.) UPDATE: Just to let everyone know, this glitch was NOT related to the proces shown in the video. After doing the above process for a 2nd time on a new playthrough, the glitch I encountered no longer happened. So whatever caused my previous playthrough to glitch...it wasn't related to Borislav's instructions above at all. I'm now back in the Cascades as OP Deacon and it's fantastic. :)
@@borislav247 Hey Borislav, thank you for the response. I've got a good update so I'll edit my question above if RU-vid will let me. II did the whole thing over (following the instructions above) and am happy to report that the Lost Lake region is glitch-free. Whatever happened in my previous playthrough that broke the Liston knife mission is no longer an issue. So I suppose it was just a random glitch and not related to accessing the lower map areas early at all. Like I said, I'm going to edit that previous question so as not to give future viewers a wrong impression. If I can't edit it, I'll just delete it. Thanks again for responding and for great content!
@@TonyRush Thank you for the update on that Tony, that is so appreciated. I was getting ready to do a blitz run on Days Gone to get to Lost Lake and check this out myself, but now I don't have to, lol.
I use a controller mate, so it's all about using the 2 joysticks to do this. Not sure how you would do this though if you are playing this on PC using keyboard & mouse.
After the first “view” the ground glitches out and it don’t come back lol I fall through the map every single time. I notice you jump a tad over the glitchy ground spot but my dude just drives right through the ground. Any advice?
You can get access to the train site no problem Ian, but, there will be no drugs there. They only appear once the actual mission starts. But, you CAN head over to the site just before activating the mission, and place a few traps. It's a damn good way to make this mission a lot easier. I know because I've made a video on it already, but it won't be shown until the extreme playthrough is finished. Love your thinking process here though Ian.
The first playthrough, you have to play it completely free of any tips & spoilers to get the best experience, but after that, this sort of stuff makes things interesting. My directional sense actually wasn't to bad on this video. Only 1 time I messed up, but when I play on Survivor II difficulty, without a constant mini map, I just make lots of directional mistakes, lol.
@@borislav247 - I just thought with all your thousands of hours of playing you'd have the whole map imprinted in to your brain. You're right though, first play through completely without tips.
I've played through the game, twice, and am beginning a NG+ on survivor mode. I probably need to watch more of this. I know the axe is only picked up, but for the other weapons, I don't understand how you can buy them so early in the game, without being in NG+. (Repeating 2nd sentence) Anyway, I think your videos are the bees knees. Used several of your tips on challenges, and love them. Ok, back to watching.
This video shows you how to leave Cascade immediately, and get to every single region in the game. When you get to the other regions, there are no missions, but Ambush Camps & hordes still are available to take on. It's by taking out these that you can get credits & trust on each region, which allow for the purchase of the RPD in the end. The US556 is another item picked up. You'll see when you watch the whole video, but this is how it's all possible.
I PROMISE, I was working on the Chemult College Access while you were working on THIS video....I didn't steal anything and actually got the path you took from another YT'er! 😆🤣🤣 But holy crap, I'm SO going after that RPD!!! 😜👍 and getting the gas tank!- just wow! We are totally destroying this game...it's gone nuclear now, my friend!!🤣🤣 Just TOO much stuff to discover but I love this Ultimate guide!! 👏🫡🤯
Lol, it's all good Oppenheimer. I absolutely loved the first method you showed on your latest video (will leave a like and comment later my friend). I never ever consider you stealing anything GG, you always give credit to others. We are just sharing some great information for the Days Gone community, and it's absolutely on fire right now. So many people are just going nuts on exploring this game my friend. Just remember, you started all this with the way out of Cascade, WHAT HAVE YOU DONE🤣🤣🤣.
Honestly saying, I enjoyed this video more than the extreme walkthrough videos. I think I am tired of seeing boris using those weak guns and limited ammo and I miss the overpowered aspect of the guns. @borislav 247 , you should continue this series and show us a run with this set up and complete the game.
Great minds think alike. Next year, I will be doing a full playthrough where I have use of everything, and I will show how to rip through this game in the most efficient way, and obviously, I will be starting by heading to the other regions like I do on this video, as this is a complete game changer for any playthroughs now.
@@georgegreatguns8807 Well, sort of, lol. It will be a lot quicker than this run as I will have every resource at my disposal. I simply intend to show the best way to run right through the game, paying particular attention to show how I would set up Deek for success throughout the entire game.
@@borislav247 I am actually doing a play through on pc using the above method and found out two things 1. Map won't work for me. No matter what i do, the map just shows me the north region and is not letting me select even left or right of the map in the south 2. There are two free items at the garage at diamond lake, one is type 1 shroud in the visuals section which does add a little bit of durability, and the other is nitrous 1. Also, there are some other very cheap items in the visuals section which add some durability like the front fender which I believe is more worth while then spending the last of your credits on fuel
@@sagartandurkar4229 Thanks for sharing this mate. The map thing really sucks, and is clearly a PC issue, as on the PS5 & PS4, you can at least see where you are on the map & can move the cursor left & right. Some great info regarding the bike mate, thank you for that.
56:10 Good Lord, man! You make that look so bloody easy! "Oh, hey, look, a Freaker is up here on the truck with me, getting up in my face. Meh, not a big deal. I'll ignore it for now, shoot a few more Freaks on the ground, and then I'll shoot the gas tank, and then I'll make my escape."
@@borislav247 I didn't follow your technique for the Chemult Station horde. I did hit them during the day, but I went in via the rail bridge. I parked my bike on the far side, and as I crossed over the bridge I laid down a few proximity bombs at various intervals, and when I got really close to the back of the train I lobbed an Attractor Bomb on the right side, then quickly backed up and to the left so I could throw a second Attractor bomb down the left side. Then I continued to back down the bridge, keeping my distance as I tore into them with the MG45. I kept backing up as they got closer so there was almost always a proximity bomb between me and the lead freaks, but in spite of the explosions and gunfire, by the time we were halfway back over the bridge I'd killed all of them that were coming for me, and when I went back up to the train there was no more than 20-30 hiding inside. The rail bridge is pretty wide but it still makes for a decent "choke point", so even when they try to go out wide and flank you (cunning bastards! 😆) , they cannot go too far to one side or the other.
