Hey… question for ya. I installed a unit similar to yours in my 2018 Subaru Forester. My current issue shows a camera icon with an ! (When in reverse). When I touch the screen, no settings come up. I didn’t install the camera that came with the head unit. Am I able to use the existing OEM backup camera or do I need to use the camera that came with the head unit? No worries if so, it’ll just take me some time to do so. Thanks!
Try touching the screen with 2 fingers simultaneously, someone commented before about using 2 fingers instead of one. Does the screen is switching to reverse input when you shift the car into reverse? Anyway here is the video I made explaining backup camera installation, it might help; ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ISAuZqFPHjc.htmlsi=l3u6fisQIADQD8P5
Have you try factory reset? Is the backup camera came with the head unit? Or may be double check the wiring connection, this might help; ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ISAuZqFPHjc.htmlsi=JtmGVlYsxQ8U9Pbr
I am having the EXACT same problem with my Apollo Phantom! After contacting Apollo, they told me "we'll have our tech look at your emails" and then I don't hear a thing. I email them back, looking for an update, and they don't respond AT ALL! **APOLLO COMPLETELY GHOSTED ME!!** 😡
May be the camera is faulty or not compatible. But before I jump to that conclusion, unless if you have a good known camera handy to test, I would double check the wiring connection first, and this might help; ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ISAuZqFPHjc.htmlsi=KoYHF5kSnLY4etOT
Apollo doesn't carry Ghost anymore but I believe they still sell parts for it. Your best bet is to get a used one from FB marketplace, but look for the 2022 model like mine, upgraded stem.
@@ZiloxPrime VDM 10 from AliExpress but it has the older stem. I have my eye on Kukirin G3 Pro with removable battery, they are on sale, you might wanna check, they look very nice, nicer than Phantom, but way cheaper.
I am guessing all electric scooters share the same problem with battery packs due to the seasonal riding pattern. My Apollo Ghost battery pack died after not touching it one winter, (300KM only), bought a second battery and been riding it for 2 summers now, just have to remember to put it on the charger every month while in storage during the winter months. Recently blew a rear tire while riding high speed, and the scooter sent me flying at least 10 feet away while I landed, quite embarrassing while all the cars slow down and see if I was okay. Lol !! Ended up pushing the scooter home 10KM away under the hot sun. Read the manual and it states that the inner tube and tires should be replaced every 2000 Km. Man, this hobby is starting to cost me more money than driving a car. But the thrill of going 60KM/H on a scooter is worth the money. Sure cheaper than riding a motor bike anyway where you have to buy insurance every summer and service the thing too every summer.
I'm glad you okay! And yes that's one of the cause of battery failure, but what happened to my Phantom is premature failure of the cell. My brother is riding it to work everyday and the next day just died and the worst thing is I never heard from Apollo that's why it's seat for a while untill I decided to fix it my self. Yes scooter is expensive hobby and now I am dreaming of Inmotion RS 😁
I'm facing slightly different problem, when in reverse all 4 cameras view is available (nissan 360 original cameras system) but when I go to F.camera app it shows no signal 🤷♀️ anyone any tips on fixing this?
You can try resetting by holding the power button on the head unit for 10 seconds or so to perform a soft reset/restart that can fix some problems. Some cars have optional cameras so but I you know for sure that you car has a front camera installed?
Yes we have 360 cameras and can see all 4 cameras when in reverse but can't switch to only see front camera and the f.camera app shows no signal all the time
If it has the same composite connector then connection should be the same. But if you are talking of the stock camera in your car, most of them has proprietary connectors which you have to do some cutting of the wires to make it compatible with aftermarket headunit.
This is great, thanks so much! My Phantom V3 has a battery pack with about 1000 miles on it, so it dies quite fast. Where did you source those Samsung ICR18650-26F cells from? As far as building an entirely new pack, do you think it would be possible to use to use larger capacity 18650 cells to fit in the same form factor, or would the increased capacity cause issues with the BMS?
I bought the battery from private seller FB marketplace. As long as you build a 3.7v 14s battery pack (52 volts), capacity won't affect the stock BMS. If the maximum current discharge of the battery is higher than the BMS, then the discharge will be limited according to the maximum discharge of the BMS. Let's say that your battery has a maximum discharge of 50C, you can use 40 amp BMS so your battery is not stressed. That said the load should also be 40 amps or lower or the BMS will shut down if the current limit is exceeded.
@@ruvrandomusefulvideos Okay, interesting. How do you determine the max discharge of the BMS for the stock phantom batteries? Seems like I can find LG mh1 3200mAh cells pretty easily and cheaply, but with 3.63 nominal voltage and 10A max. discharge I don't know if they'd be suitable for a rebuild using an original BMS.
I am also puzzled my self because the original BMS doesn't even have a label on it. Phantom battery is 1,216 watts/23.4Ah/52v. My understanding is battery pack and BMS should be higher than the controller can demand so that they are not stressed. Saying that I would assume that the original BMS is may be at least 40-50Ah But don't take my word on that, sorry I didn't think I really answer your question but I do don't want to give you wrong information as well, and if you have any info please share it here, I am also trying to improve my knowledge about this stuff.
I had a similar problem. I had ordered the upgrade kit. This took place last year and I never received it. Someone has stolen it and I had told Apollo and he couldn’t find the replacement order so I never received it and I wind up losing the money I have for Apollo Scooters to phantoms one city, pro and the girls but I would never buy Apollo again because of that kind of hurt me because I’ve gotten an extra 10 people I believe to buy Apollo brand Scooters.
Same here, I made 5 of my riding buddies plus my brother to buy Apollo scooter plus I use to promote Apollo scooter until they never pay me my commission, then ignoring all my suggestions and questions plus my warranty claim so I am done with Apollo, I am dreaming of Inmotion RS now.
I actually bought another set in a silver color which is expensive than that, supposed to be for my Phantom, $7 more but the set is worst, made of very thin metal so I did not installed them. I would advice buy from Amazon at least easy return and refund.
Hey how'd you do with overheating? Noticed you skipped using a large thermal pad on the bottom to dissipate heat, I'm pushing 260lb and in a hilly area, I ride it hard, should I do the thermal pad or nah?
I did not skip the thermal pad, the kit that they sent to me did not come with it which is a bummer. I have been riding the Ghost to work every day 15km distance one way with some uphill stretch, I also ride hard but safely. My normal cruising is between 55-65km/h most of the time not less than 60, and once in a while when it is straight & clear 70km/h but I am only 160lbs. Anyway, I would recommend the thermal pad for sure, and do not cover the ventilation holes, make sure that the pad is also touching the chassis so that it will absorb some of the heat.
@@ruvrandomusefulvideos even the new kit doesn't come with a thermal pad 😬 they only send one if you complain later about overheating, I'm just gonna get some from Amazon for like $12 and save needing to disassemble twice. Thanks!
