Here I share all about my life in healthcare consulting, career and personal development in other fields such as MSL. Please email me at drcatslab@gmail.com for any questions!
Science is limited to what man knows, and is always looking for complicated ideas (much like this video) When in reality the solutions are very simple, it’s about creating the environment that is conducive with our well created body. I take my hat off to people who have been enlightened and have the courage to change their life path and try to make amends for mis-takes of the past. All the best to Scoobie and Doobie and other like minded professionals that offer realistic, non invasive solutions. We the general public are most grateful for your honesty and integrity 🙏 and we salute you. 🫡
Congratulations! In your video you say the first step is to gather the references. So, that's that mean that they don't have to know your proposed endeavour? I had heard you have to write your endeavour first and then share it with potential references. Isn't it that the case? Thanks ahead for clarifying.
He can go back to practise as a GP if he wants. Or apply for a job as a lecturer in a university. There are still a lot of choices open to him. So I don’t think he is too much worried about his prospects.
You made a mistake - he didn't say patch the roof, he said fix the interior, replace the drywall, but not fix the roof. Other than that, this video was pretty much Captain Obvious material that every intelligent doctor knows and which traps so many into thinking they have no options. Check out the rate of physician suicide. The truth is, QUITTING IS BETTER THAN DYING. And that is the truth, even if you don't think you can afford it. Sure, look around, talk to friends & acquaintances first about alternatives IF YOU CAN, but many doctors do not have a huge network of friends they can trust and they feel like they can't seek psychological help -- the medical board will come after you if they find you have any substance use or mental weakness. And don't forget the first few years you're trying to reward yourself with money for all the pain you went thru PLUS pay off huge medical education bills. It's easy for someone working 9-5 (or slightly more) in a research job to critique someone who hasn't slept well on a regular basis for 20 years, but it's not realistic to think that the lab person has ANY idea of the degree of depression that such abuse of one's body & brain causes. Make videos of what you love and stop monday-morning-quarterbacking someone who actually just saved his own precious life.
Hello Cat - I have a research & sales background and just landed a high level BD position. I am not entirely certain where I should start aside from doing market analysis, researching potential clients and coming up with a market entry plan, appreciate any tips thanks
can get your email please ? Need some guidance in finding a way out. As, I did my PhD and postdoc from China and now working as a research associate in Germany.
I worked as a home health aide for a couple of decades.. Dr. Goobie is telling it like it is. Our Healthcare System is Broken. It is not just Back Surgery, Prostate Cancer and Hysterectomies .. Do your research? I witnessed over and over "Look at what they did to me?" All doctors should be read their Miranda Rights..
Thank you for your time and effort in creating such an informative video! As a subscriber of your content, I greatly appreciate your engagement with your audience and your willingness to share your insights. I would love to get your thoughts on the following: given the high earning potential for an MD practicing clinical medicine (regardless of specialty, location, etc), do you think an MD would be leaving money on the table should they choose to completely leave clinical medicine and pursue one of the opportunities you mentioned?
Thank you for the kind words. I'm glad you enjoyed it. To answer your questions, my opinion is: MDs are also humans, so situations happen which could make them reflect and change paths. I know personally a handful that left clinical jobs and joined other paths. The reasons of course vary based on everyone's personal story, but overall, they find something more important than money and status. I always think finding what makes you happy is the most important thing in life, and that can be just a simple life surrounded by loved ones, instead of external recognition and material pursuit.
Thank you so much for your video! I’m a senior year PhD student from East Asia, currently studying biology in the US. I have similar ambitions as you and am considering a career in consulting to learn about businesses. But, one thing that keeps bothering me is that I’m not as chatty as many students preparing for consulting. I think my non-native level of English also plays a role in this. I’m curious about how you navigated these challenges. Also, I was wondering if it’s common practice in consulting firms for women to take time off during pregnancy and return to work without setbacks. Could you please share your thoughts on this?
Great questions! Yes using a second language is a bit challenging to a degree but you should trust yourself coz you are a PhD student here so you definitely have all the skills to speak English confidently!
And yes, women take time off for maternity leave and other things in corporate world. Obviously it will leave some time gap in your career but you have to do what’s the best for your family!
2 takeaways: First, it is true that not everyone can just "quit" but I bet more can quit and would like to but don't. I still give Goobie the edge that he has the strength to do it. Second, it doesn't take a neurosurgeon to see that our medical system is broken.
Congratulations for the great video, it has been very useful for me. How long did it take for you to received the USCIS mail after the NOS recommendation?
Thank you very much for the detailed video. My embassy requires us to provide release letter from the sponsor. Did you obtain such letter from your sponsor for your country embassy process for NOL? My sponsor says that they only provide that letter to USCIS on request by USCIS
Thank you for this video. I have a question about the wait times for people born in China/India but has acquired another citizenship (f.eg: Australia/UK/Canada etc), and living in country of their current citizenship. Will USCIS put them in China/India queue or they will be considered under country of their current citizenship and will have much less wait time. Can you please advise. Thank you.
Dr. Goobie is an authentic, caring person, who saw modern medicine for what it is and has become. This lady is trying to ride the wave of his fame. I wouldn’t let her get near me with a scalpel.
