perhaps the best militaria channel on RU-vid. No bullshit , no self glorification . Always a great explanation from a guy with a good eye for militaria.
I collect Victorian campaign medals and ww1 and 2 items. But i always find them cheaper in the USA. I found a Military general service 6 bars for the Peninsula War in CA for $675 last yr. Soldier on rolls!
I think the market sets the prices and there is always competition for good things. On top of that Bevo carry a huge stock with the assurance of each item being guaranteed. I'd rather buy something I really want from them with piece of mind than take my chances buying at a show. Having said all that I agree that the hobby is very expensive nowadays and that takes a lot of the pleasure out of it. Thanks for another great video-it's great that you share your knowledge and I always use your videos as web site for reference. All the best.
I wonder, are those helmets from different factories, the same geometric design or they were some differences? were they used the same stamps for helmet? or they had their own?
Nice video again Sander, thanks. Interesting to see another USA show which is a long trip from the UK/Europe. Usual huge range of USA & German WW2 items and a typically older demographic, like many shows in the USA and Europe. And a dealer with something else other than WW2 - but Repro Napoleonic shakos and chapzka of course as they are super-rare and mostly in museums.
Been collecting German Panzer stuff since I was a boy (40) years now and have a significant number of Panzer uniform sets. Yet I learn so much from your videos. I live in Australia where all this stuff has been recently banned from trade. Will catch up with you at some point as I travel to Europe reasonably frequently and at some point will call into your shop for a chat. Thans for all your educational videos
@@MrTuftynut Sale is outright banned as well as import and export. We can keep it as a personal collection, but we can't sell it. It's related to hate symbols Swast.k. and SS r.nes. If Labour loose the next election some members of the opposition have said they will seek to pass a law to exclude WW2 Militaria collectors from the legislation. I'm confident common sense will prevail, this Labour government in Oz has lost touch with the people. The English may tolerate this but the Australians won't.
Militaria dealers, the largest legal fraud gang there is. They involve millions and all dealers participate. They make the books in which they exhibit the so-called real stuff. They make up stories and names. From Wittmann to Weitze, they are all scammers.
Leuke video Sander. Dank voor de rustige en heldere uitleg van de items. Zeer leerzaam 🙂 Gaan alle items op je website of gaat ze je eigen collectie in?
Hey Sander,, I saw you at the show Friday,,, it was nice to meet you,, you always make such good videos ,, very informative and able to learn so much,,Plus your website is awesome,, keep up the good work and hope to see you again next year..👍
Is it cost effective to travel across the Atlantic chasing items from other dealers/ collectors that are top end in the chain of expensive items? What with the cost of flight hotel etc you are either able to buy at a silly cheap price and sell at huge profit or you aren’t making any money? Be interested to know how you do? Maybe you can make a video explaining how the dealer can survive financially, thanks
