Sander shows you around on the fall edition of Ciney Expo Militaria (October 2022). He shows the complete show (Hall 1 & 2), talks to Otto Prins from handpaintedmannequins.com and John Veenstra from showmycollection.com. He also shows his new findings, such as a M42 single decal Waffen-SS helmet, a Fallschirmjäger jump smock in Splittertarn and an early army visor cap. Before the show he also made a deal on 25 attic-found M16-style Luftschutz helmets that are shown in the end.

WW11 most of the jackets I saw were made out of wool now 80 years later they are in perfect shape like they were made last week.. I guess they live in a moth free environment.The Nazi helmet in the van the liner looks like brand-new I guess the guy never sweated..There's a video on RU-vid a guy gets a $14 dollar helmet.. he buys a couple cans of military green,Black & Yellow spray paint the original stickers and a liners and then he uses black shoe polish to make it look like it was used and the guy sweated..And then he kicked it down his Stone driveway to scratch it off rubbed it up against the stucco wall..He said I spent to do one Helmet about $20 dollars he even put a stamp on it all the numbers were they was supposed to be he said I could put this on eBay for $800 nobody would know the difference.. I know the Nazis were into dating stuff and numbering things I don't believe they had the year on the helmets..like E6,E8, that was stamped on the inside of the helmet in the center..Been so long I'll look that up.. check out the video on RU-vid this guy is pretty amazing how to turn a brand new German Helmet into one that looks like World War11..

It's a M45 helmet and yes, leather cannot be new ! I'm french from Normandy and I know many museums here and testimonies from old friends

It's a good original helmet as I can see, the leather is clearly aged. That's what a German helmet liner looks like after so many years yes, if it's stored properly, it will not rot.

A Militaria/gunshow in a cattle shed. It stinks of piss and cow dung. You're being discreetly watched by my Belgian and French customs. And the most expensive prices in Europe. At petrol prices, there's no point. 😘
