Outstanding interview. I'm from Houston, served in the Marines (Coach would have thrived in the USMC), and have a brother who played basketball at Millsaps College (coincidentally located in Jackson, MS). Coach being able to share time with Sweetness at the ballpark is a cherished memory, I'm sure. Health and happiness, gentlemen. Go Astros!...💯
Haha, yes I know. If it weren’t for that I’d probably be too bummed to watch the rest of the playoffs. But now I still have a lot to watch as I try to be the team standing in first after the NBA Finals. Haha.
This came up in my algorithm and I'm now a subscriber. Great interview and opportunity to see a baseball man share his journey. Hope to see more. One question: would it have been asking too much to have asked what Mr. Clark thinks about the lack of Afro-American players continuing to decline in mlb? And with all his experience, has he been asked to manage? I sure hope so...Great Interview! Many thanks.
Thank you! Yes, I didn’t ask him the question about the decline of African-American players. I do however have a few other interviews with current and former Afro-American players who I do ask about it. It’s actually a subject I’ve been reporting on since 2007 which was the 60 year anniversary of Jackie Robinson broke the color barrier and there was a lot of talk about only 8% of MLB players were Afro-American and yes, that’s still the case today.
@@samoribenjamin already subscribed OG - first time long time! For me this game's finish is on the same level as the LJ's 4 Point play. Thank you for consistently bringing quality new york sports coverage. LETS GO KNICKS!
Honestly Zion needs to commit to at least one charge a game Run clean through the defender and let everybody see that that way the next one that think about it will twitch or move and it'll be a blocking foul or they'll make a business decision but if you put one of the asses in the stands they won't do it no more
none of these were flops. All were clear charges and great defense. Wagner was literally just standing there, Zion needs to learn to go around him and not through him.
They were flops because Zion is not the reason they fell down, especially the first two. Zion did everything he could to avoid Suggs and Wagner on the first two, he grazed them, and they both flopped to sell the call. It’s BS!!!!!
@@samoribenjaminmaybe they sold the call. Maybe not. You try getting hit by a 300 lb pound athletic guy running and jumping towards you and let’s see if you stay standing 😂. Either way Still a foul though. Zion is going to have to learn to avoid them.
It's called drawing a charge. If the defender doesn't plant his feet and absorb the contact, big strong guys like Zion will just barrel towards the basket while the defender back pedals and gets pushed aside, which the refs rarely call an offensive foul.
Nah, Zion barely touched Suggs and Suggs flopped to draw the charge. These dudes aren’t falling because Zion is knocking them down, they are flopping to sell the call. The second time Wagner got the foul call he wasn’t even trying to play defense. He just jumped in Zion’s way and made the brace position cause he wasn’t trying to play defense. Let him put his hands up to try and play defense and then maybe he should get that call. But that is not what happened.
