What a wonderful vintage documentary. People daring to be who they are, without caring about what others think of them. I think Dave Allen was an eccentric also, in his own way. Had a comedy style very much of his own and he brought a very different style to documentaries, as can be clearly seen here. He displays a total lack of judgement and just allows it to flow.
Such joyous people and wonderful to watch especially in this day and age. As the late great Margaret Rutherford said, in the end the eccentrics will be the saints ✨
I will always remember at age 6 or 7 going to church with my school and singing this, we were all given a palm leaf and a small religious photo card, about 70 years ago.
