Well thanks for the venture man had a good time watching you awesome video guys have a good one be safe I'm from Seattle Washington myself living in Toledo Ohio right now
Idc who you are a 2 stroke will ALWAYS top a 4 stroke in the cool factor and will ALWAYS be more fun to ride and will ALWAYS sound better to 4 jokes sound like ass always have always will
Do you know who you worked with at Ricky's? Was it something you had to do special? a rewind or new? They are indicating they don't make anything for a 250 X. Just curious how you made progress with them on it.
Although 2 strokes are my go to Dirt Bike, Wouldn't a 4 stroke be more suitable? I mean 2Sk's function better at high rpm's, and sitting in traffic idling, isn't the best for the engine. Also how do you deal with the suggested hour limit on the engine. Do you rebuild the top end constantly and bottom end periodically?
I've been having dirtbike dreams my whole life. Some of the best dreams I've ever had. Then I wake up and I realize it just a darn dream and I'm gonna be late for work again
I’d like to do something similar with a yz250 motor but am curious how it would handle heat wise, I would of course play with gearing but I still having a feeling I would be ringing it’s neck for a lot of the time. Any input?
I put the Tusk light kit on my bike. It passed the initial Registry of Motor Vehicle inspection, but failed the State Inspection. My state requires the blinkers to be DOT approved, which these are not. Also the inspector said the hand guard blinkers are a no go and the rear blinkers have to be a minimum of 9" apart. I ended up using DRZ blinkers on my Suzuki RMX450. Also had to install a chain guard and the guy insisted that my license plate face flat outwards, no slant. I think he was just being a dick.
The chance that it is ever checked after the initial inspection is very low. If you want dirt tires, buy some used dot tires that fit, put them on, get it inspected, put dirt back on, and never touch the dots. If you want all street, they make full street tires for the 21 19s that you would want anyways.
Cool vid.......I wud put sum road tires on that MOTARD...& WALK IT DOWN THE HIWAY !!!.....I had so many tickets at 15 back n the day....I couldn't wait to buy a yz490 & look for cops
