Hi there, my name is Junior. I'm a Toyota Master Diagnostic Technician. The focus of this channel will be to share tips, how-to videos, and, if possible, help you save some money and a trip to your local auto shop.
Toyota has been making engines a long time.. None of this stuff should be happening. A friend of mine had a 2007 Toyota Rav4. The oil rings were know to go bad.. Starting burning oil heavy at 100k. Other people that he knew had the same issues. Even that shouldn't have happened, but here we are 15 yrs later and different but still engine issues... What's good out there anymore?!?
A short block means I'm going to have to have my local dealership basically build an engine and have to depend on their "expertise" for the longevity of my engine correct ....if this is true do not take your vehicle to Lithia Toyota in Redding California because they break more stuff than they fix!
Ironic Toyota having engine failures right before having to create electric vehicles... If you ask me they did this on purpose psychologically speaking it will make customers transfer over to electric cars ..
Thanks for sharing I bought a used 2011 Prius and I have that problem brake light is on and the ABS light is on and I hear that noise is that an expensive job to replace
When you were checking the level i noticed you kept pumping fluid. Do you keep pumping fluid until the old fluid starts looking like new fluid then you wait for a trickle... once the color changed?
I might just be a die-hearted toyota fan...but with these issues to happen when the company is about to rise a major threat on the truck market, u am questioning some possibility of sabotage
Thanks. Anytime Toyota has a new vehicle released, we are required to watch a "new vehicle introduction video" provided by Toyota. During the video, those were some of the features that stuck out to me. Im sure if you google some of the features regarding the bumber damage mitigation and the things i mentioned in the video, you will be able to find them.
This seems like it should be a recall that should be fixed for no charge, I probably have the same problem since it just started a week ago and most likely the culprit, I have a third party warranty so let’s see what they actually cover or maybe I will complain to Toyota corporate
@@TheYotaChannel I’m definitely going to try to get them to cover it, I normally fix things myself but that’s why I got a warranty so I wouldn’t have to anymore. Thanks for the video and suggestion

Resale values HAVE BEEN affected. Dealers are refusing to take these trucks in trade. Owners are unable to sell them, but most importantly THERE IS NO ESTABLISHED FIX!! Kudos to you as a service tech!
Another channel gernaded a clutch while attempting a fifth to third downshift. Rev matching was part of the issue but the rev limiter should have prevented this. Another channel broke a part in the front axel while off roading in what should have been a fairly normal off roading situation. Then there's the Tundra. Still trust Toyota currently? Not me!
Junk, and way overpriced they should’ve stuck with the 5.7 V8 .. in my opinion ! They’ve made things complicated. So if you have to do a repair or fix something down the road , watch out ! PS. My advice is to get a 2021 or earlier model 👍
On my is250 2006 the light came on(p0751 and 2714) like in februari, but the car was shifting fine before, during and after clearing the codes..meanwhile csr was driving and shifting fine...after 5 months,2 days ago the codes came back but the car was still driving fine..cleared the codes,(same as before)and after a day it came back, but this time only 1 code p0983..cleared it and the car drives fine( 1 day passed).no harsh shifting whatsoever I dont know what i need to do.the dealer says the USA cars can be different compared with EU spec cars regarding the ecm update...got any advice?
Thank you so much for letting us know; is there any way for us or the dealer to check for this issue during maintenance? Anything to look out for while driving? I currently have under 100 miles on mine; built in April so feeling nervous. Do you know if it will fail within "X" amount of miles usually? Don't want to be left stranded or stuck with having to do a swap after my warranty has expired.
