Does it seem like the bars offer adequate protection if the bike was laid down? It seems as if it would not but of course that makes no sense since they would then be pointless.

If you get a comfort seat its higher about 20mm which about 3/4 inch. Its quiet expensive, but with the lower foot-pegs and the seat its a total of 40mm which is nearly 2 inch's.

Did you notice the difference in size between the two lower front bolts? The left one is a 70mm and the right one is a 80mm... Need to make you instal the correct one. I have read some people seriously damaged their engine block!

Purchased these pegs for a 2017 RNineT Racer. Knight's website stated year and RNineT only (no sub-models listed). So, I thought by ordering the pegs listed for a 2017 RNineT, they would fit all 2017 RNineT models. Went to install and found the fit too tight. Went back to their web site to make sure I received the correct pegs (which I did). In trying to fit the new pegs I had to retract the foot peg to insert the pin; which almost worked. I thought it was me and worked the peg back and forth, which scratched my frame and the peg. Finally came to the conclusion they sent me the wrong pegs so I returned them. The generously refunded my purchase price (LESS $100 for a "re-stocking fee" and the scratched peg). BEWARE: Their pegs and web site state they fit the RNineT model; but they do not fit all of them. Their note on my refund was the pegs are model specific, but there is only 1 option to order. Very disappointed in this company. I understand the peg was scratched when I tried to install it (as was my frame), but feel this is more Knight's error than my own since their web site stated it would fit. I ended up ordering a peg lowering kit elsewhere and suggest you give these guys a pass.

my 2017 R9T handle bars have white Plus signs on them to show you exactly where they are to be positioned. if you look where the the clamp space is the bars will have that plus sign...also used to center the bars and I would never use loc-tite on bmw stuff its already overkill strength built.

Hi, watched all your videos on your r nine t, I bought one in December. Noticing we are the same size and age I thought I'd mention the mirror extenders by wunderlich. They make such a big difference with the standard mirrors as you can see behind and not your shoulders. I've put on the crash bars the foot peg lowering kit and the handle bar risers. Regards Shaun (from uk)

I got the fairing used and i didnt have the spacer and bolt. Are the bolts same length as the factory bots and what is the length of the spacers? I need to find alternative..
@smoothdurban
@smoothdurban 5 лет назад
I believe the bolts that hold the fairing to the triple clamp are longer. Without removing them I couldn`t tell you exactly how long. I would recommend using some stainless steel or Aluminium washers as spacers and then stack them for the desired thickness.
@tonyzee8528
@tonyzee8528 5 лет назад
smoothdurban thank you so much! One more question, what are the two pointy plastic nails with the rubber washers for? That run perpendicular to the fork bolt? It doesnt seem to hold anything in place.
@smoothdurban
@smoothdurban 5 лет назад
Tonyzee those plastic washers simply act as a buffer between the bracket and the fork. My guess would be they keep the bracket from making permanent marks on the fork tube
