Two empty nesters who have been together since we were kids, exploring our backyard and beyond! We enjoy history, the outdoors, camping, cooking, eating good food, but most of all, we enjoy just having a great time and taking you along for the ride! We don't promise propriety, but we do promise you'll laugh! Sometimes they'll even be goats or ghosts! New videos come out on Thursdays!
Nice trail to the beach. What a magical place❤ that little stray cat is so cute and that museum was awesome. Lot of history there Awesome Yes you got to bring some bug. Spray green head flies and mosquitoes sand fleas😮
I'm pretty sure half of North America's bug population lives on Ocracoke, but it was worth it. It's such a beautiful place!!! Thank you for watching! ❤❤❤❤
She told us and the paranormal team we were with that she was. From what I understand she bought it from someone else to include the restaurant. By "worked," I'm assuming she's no there??? Sorry I'm just now responding, I've been out of town.
@@TravelswithTommyandLori yeah that’s not true, but no she does not work there anymore. I believe she is employed with the city of Washington currently.
Hi my people Thanks for posting another great video that was nice to enjoy also when not in construction but it was nice time thanks again y'all be safe ❤
@@TravelswithTommyandLori were y'all doing a fine job going places? And it's always nice to see you guys I am semi-retired I'm ready to go places 😁✌️🌹🙈🙉🙊
Ew sand everywhere. Lol. I still can't believe I'm going to some place in Florida for a week in August. Keep forgetting the name of the place 😂 I am looking forward to watching the Blue Angels and seeing the museum again!
Are there two Chesapeake Bay bridges? I swear that's the name of the Long ass bridge I had to drive across when I flew to Baltimore then drove down to Salisbury for work.
Umm we can't rely on Wes's opinion. I seem to remember one night you tried a new recipe. He was the first to eat and was saying how good it was. None of the rest of us could eat it. 😂😂😂😂 I love Wes, but I wait for other opinions on food.
We have a little bit of land in central NC that will be our retirement place but I do love the NC coast and if y’all retire there, it’s entirely possible our paths will end up crossing!!! We love the KOA’s, too. You pretty much always know what to expect, for the most part.
Congrats on getting to 29 Years married! "I think rice is a vegetable" LOL Tommy! (BTW James agrees.) But anyway - Lori - what you saw were people sailboarding - you almost had it! But I totally get it when you're SO CLOSE to the right word, but it just doesn't come. So. Sleep deprivation messes with our cognitive ability sometimes. Still enjoyed the video! My only thing was the beginning almost made me dizzy, though I'm sure there was a reason to run through it - All the Hatteras-branded knick-knacks, miscellaneous supplies, and goodies. Also note - dark roast might taste good, but the lighter the roast, the more caffeine it has. We'll definitely have to try that coffeeone day, but our current favorite is made by Black Rifle at home. And always remember to grab (or pack) a beer to marinate the shellfish. I think it helps any seasoning really penetrate into the food and most of the beer flavor tends to cook out unless it's an exceedingly bitter brew. I adore seeing your adventures and reviews. Vacation goals!
I'm SO GLAD y'all went on the wild horse tour and so sorry y'all had such a bad experience at that resturaunt! Being an "inlander", I was always told the best place to eat seafood was at a place serving seafood AT the beach because it's almost guaranteed to be FRESH (never frozen).
That horse tour was EVERYTHING!! I still get a little choked up when I go back and look at the videos and the pictures. I don't know how to explain it... seeing something so pure, just out there living their best life. The restaurant was a definite disappointment and you're exactly right. You'd expect with the ocean at your back door and LOCAL fish markets that sell freshly caught seafood, there wouldn't be a reason to buy frozen. It's also the primary reason we try to stick to small, mom and pop places.
Have ya'll ever been to Cades Cove? It's kind of similar in respect to wild animals and being able to see them up close. You never know what you're going to see while driving around the loop of the property. BUT, there is no tour ride thru, but there's also no admission into the park. It's a little place south of Townsend Tennessee and the trip on Fighting Creek Gap Road down to the area is well worth the trip. We always went into the park off 441 between Cherokee and Gatlinburg but you really need to make sure you fuel up before going into the park. I will NOT make that mistake again. Also, they do have a camping area campground, but I would visit the area first before deciding to use any of the facilities there and judge for yourself if that's what you want to do.
Hey yall! Just a heads up idk if you guys started it with the grill closed, but Never do that! It can cause it to explode. I didnt see in the video if you all left the grill lid closed. The closed grill will cause an explosion. Dont want you to lose the grill! God bless you
To be honest, I can't remember if he did or not, but I don't think so.... I'd like to think he's smarter than that, but sometimes.... 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Thank you so much for watching and commenting and also for CARING!!! ❤
@@Biggfisshwe absolutely do need to stick together and look out for each other! ❤ We love the grill. It’s been a little over a year now, and we’re still happy with it and recommend it all the time.
I'm so glad y'all were able to get a great view out of the overbooking and a fantastic deal on the price! On the beach is the absolute best place to eat seafood, fo' sho'! Beautiful...
Wow! That's the longest bridge I have ever seen so part is underwater. That is like awesome one hell of a bridge Y'all enjoy your vacation and thanks for sharing again my friend. Play it safe till next time❤
@@sandraosborn171 The longest I've ever seen was in Louisiana. It's 27 miles long. This one wasn't that long, but it definitely wins for going under the water instead of just over it!
Hey y'all I love y'all going to old graves. Y'all might be interested in one in Gilmer County Ga. It's the Tolona cemetery, it's old and it has slaves graves in it. It's on a hill with a beautiful over look are the last time I was there it beautiful one.
The Sanderson monument is entirely made of cast zinc. That's why it looks both different and better than the stone markers. It's made of different pieces, some ordered "off the shelf" from a catalog, some custom cast. Sounds like hollow metal if you knock on it.
@@TravelswithTommyandLori They are cool! And once you've seen a few you won't miss any. The distinctive color is a "dead" giveaway! 😁 There were many styles, but I see obelisks more than anything else.
@@christophershoemaker1109 I'm so grateful you chose to watch this video. We both love learning new things about one of our favorite past times, and little known fact, we're also both big into things like coin and precious metals, so this kinda ties both together. We will definitely be on the lookout from now on!!
WOW...That little town has tripled in size since I've been thru there. Only thing I can remember out there was a Gas station, Rail road tracks and a small building they claimed was a police station. Oh, and a golf course and strip club. Usually, you'd need a golf club to go into the strip club because the hounds in that place would chase you around.
I have watched all the videos on your RU-vid channel. Your channel has high quality videos. But your videos are not perfect or good in terms of SEO. But did ya'll listen? Apparently not. You didn't stop. LOL And the grave that was filled with Concrete, is that from someone that got stopped and filled in with concrete to stop them from coming back?
