Just saw this build with you. What can I say fantastic stuff. I love the xjr, I don't have one but I do have an 86 fj12 which I'm slowly building as a fighter. Fab stuff look forward to watching your other video ✌️
Really nice build man, loved the vid, and that paintjob, nice choice! (i would have matched the triangler sidecap though) All in all, greatvid, a joy to watch!
Crazy to look back on the state of this bike when you got it, hard to believe it's the same bike. Very nice work mate, be proud! Good luck trying to top this one!
Congratulations on a fantastic build. I've got one completely standard 2001 XJR and another one in bits waiting to do something along those lines. One question though, why are the brake and clutch reservoirs so high up from the bars? Is it a purely functional necessity?
Well done Ewan, doesn't seem two and a half years since you rolled, what you described, as a "rough XJR", into the shed. Bike looks great, and the seat is awesome, so is the paint job. Sometimes bike riding footage can be a wee bit bland, but your take, and the roads you picked made really good watching. I've still got my XJR, so you've inspired me once again to get cracking on it. By the way it passed its MoT last week too. 😂
Great stuff. Always a relief when they pass! Simultaneously the most exciting and terrifying ride, the first shake down. Bike looks great. Now you can get your ass up to Aberdeen and come see me!
Hello, you've done a really great job, the bike looks really good! What I don't like are the containers for the brake/clutch fluid. I also disassembled my XJR 1200 but rebuilt it to its original state. Greetings from Vienna, Erich
One comment got me, 2 1/2 years! Where did that time go. Only seems like yesterday I stumbled across your wee channel and have been hooked ever since. Bike looks and sounds great so yep, get out there and enjoy it. As a fellow XJR owner I can recommend touring, they are awesome for that.
Well done mate, all the way from south africa. The XJR looks great man. Congratulations!!!! Your an inspiration to our novice, hope to be builders. I came across your channel as i was searching Xjr builds. And i really enjoyed the build aswell as the Vmax build. Your work is fantastic and the attention to detail is amazing. Im hoping to tackle a build of my own soon. Thanks for the channel i have learnt a lot.
Well done Euan. You should be very proud. Been great viewing watching the journey of the XJR right up to road ready. I still have an Fj1200 in my stable, so obviously, engine wise it's the older brother. Bulletproof. Keeping it for yourself is the right choice. So, looking forward to your next uploads. Enjoy her buddy.
They are fun bikes to ride! Beautiful work man, it looks gorgeous. Your bodywork is top notch - especially remembering the state of the tank before. Well done, it's a fantastic job - you must be over the moon.
Fantastic build, love the look of the bike and the XJR1300 is on my list of bikes i'd love to own one day! Yours looked brilliant at the Bike Shed Show so it's great to see you riding it and enjoying it!
Great to see the XJR special on the road. Hard work & dedication to the project, highs & lows along the journey, but with a very impressive finished result ... 🏆 Time to enjoy 🙂👍
Love how you are totally honest and aren’t pretending to be the all knowing guru of bike builds. It makes you way more genuine and likeable. I’m building an XJR project and take inspiration and tips from your videos
Hi Euan, hope you're keeping well, despite the big cheesy grin. :) Bike looks and sounds amazing, I've always liked the FJ's...big, proper bike. I read somewhere a long time ago that bike journo's have spent their own money on FJ's than any other bike. Looking forward to seeing more of it on the channel. Thanks for sharing. Stay safe and keep up the good work. 👍✌
Ah , that '' shakedown '' run . Late 80's I purchased a z1300 in Bits , it came in many boxes , It took me Two Weeks to assemble , My Brother took it for an M.O.T , [ I was at Work ] . I returned from Work , Bathed , packed my Throwovers , and we headed off to Spain ......A Job well done , Congratulations , Time to enjoy it .
Well what an absolutely cracking job you have made of this project it looks fantastic even the tank which I have to say I did wonder about but how good does it look now a challenge really met and conquered big time bloody well done you've done it proud .👌👍
