I had Covid hairloss thinned out my hair . Ready to get a big chop so grow in better all broken off in back have curly hair . It’s a mess ! Cutting short best thing !
Hey girl, Hair stylists have told me I have fine, soft hair. Even when it used to be chemically relaxed the product only needed about 10mins to work. Then, I was left with super flat hair that wouldn't hold volume until the frizzy roots grew back in. So I only had 'nice' hair for about 2 wks b4 it was time to start the cycle over. I'm a 67 yr old black woman who doesn't want an afro lol. My daughter convinced me to stop colouring and chemically treating my hair. I've shortened it too. Now its natural, grey and dry. It looks awful! I prefer smooth soft curls and I enjoy styling it myself. I use product and heat protectants 1. What temperature should my hot comb be set at to rid me of the frizz? 2. How can I get the straight effects to last longer? OR A. If I decide to shave it what comb number should I use on the clipper? Your work is beautiful!
I been doing my research for weeks going back and forth about doing a big chop to start my natural hair journey. I’m 35 and this will be the first time being natural since a little girl lol. A big step for me. I just want to say thank you for this video! And your other big chop videos! I’m truly grateful!
Hope you can picture this. I forgot to mention! I put a side comb on each twisted side i jelled back. Its neat and easy. Thanks again , glad i came across this video ❤
Very, nice. I been lazy doing my hair since I retired. 2022. I trim my ends every 2 or 3 weeks. It grows fast. I keep it jelled in 2 parts now during summer. Love this video ❤❤❤❤❤❤ I just continue to rub black color on my gray edges. Wish I had more. It looks like I'm balding. But it's my hair line and baby hair lol ❤❤❤
Recently cut my hair and instantly regretted it😞I know it’s hair and it’ll grow back but just from a girl who didn’t even know what to do with my long hair I’m really lost now smh 🤦🏽♀️ I wish I had found this video before I cut it. We’ll see how the remainder of the year goes 🙏🏽
I just did my 4th big chop & this time I wanna enjoy it and keep it short instead of trying to grow it back,. The biggest con for me was learning to style it, but now I always feel put together with my one style
I cut my hair short at 25. I continued wearing it short for the better part of ten years. I found a few of ways to style it. I loved my short hair and learned to cut and maintain it myself. I was able to freely experiment with color since damage wasn’t much of an issue because I was cutting my hair so frequently. Being a working mom at the time, short hair really worked for me. Plus, I swam on a regular basis. Short hair really brings out your features and accentuates the length of your neck. It’s something I feel women shouldn’t be afraid of. ❤
If you’re considering a big chop, just tell the barber you want a #2 all over and clean up the edges. They will know exactly what to do if they are an experienced barber.
I want to cut my hair cause I've been depressed for the last few months and I feel like doing so will make me feel fresh and new, but this video has challenged me think about it deeper. I'm still attached to my afro and I know I'll definitely do a big chop before the year ends, but I think I need more time to get my mental and emotional self more collected before I make such a huge decision. Thanks for this
I just chopped mine and it feels so liberating mine was very damaged in front and just wasn’t looking good at all I’m hoping as it grows back that my front will curl a bit
This was such a beautiful video to watch! ❤ I'm watching it and getting ready to head to the barbershop myself. I'm excited and I've been thinking about this for some time now and know that this is going to be the best decision for me.
I need to cut my hair I have hyperthyroidism and it’s causing all my hair to fall off it’s maybe a couple inches longer than ur hair in the video and it used to be long beginning of this year how do I go about doing the big chop ?
You can either go to a barber or hair salon to have someone cut your hair for you or you can cut your own hair. Buy some clippers and use the guide combs to ensure that you are cutting your hair evenly. I have a DIY cut, color and style video on my channel called "TWA Cut and Color | The REAL Reason I Color My Hair." I have been cutting my own hair at home ever since - It's super easy!!! Hope this helps.
You have to work in small sections and at a quick pace so that one section doesn’t revert back while working on the other section. Then keep the scarf on for no less than 45 minutes, even longer if possible. It must at least be almost dry before you remove the scarf in order to stay down. If you try again, I hope it works out the next time.
You're very welcome. What is your sign btw? You're so down to earth and have a wonderful presence on screen. Sorry for asking so many questions. ☺ @@LoriLoveTV
