In this video I show you why I love my big chop so much!!! My hair routine has become such low maintenance… I can just wash and go!!!! Well in my case I like to add a couple more steps because I’m extra LOL, but it takes me less than 10 minutes to define my twa after I wash it so for me it’s a win.
My hair routine is as follows:
1. I shampoo & condition my hair once a week
2. 2-3 days later I co-wash my hair
3. 1st Saturday of every month I go to the salon for shampoo/condition and a trim, and ever other month I touch up my color. My stylist uses Pravana Chromasilk Extra Light Blonde 10N and 40 Volume developer.
In this video, I show you how I style my hair after I shampoo or co-wash:
1. Use rosewater as a moisturizer and to ensure my hair is wet
2. Seal in the moisture using jojoba oil
3. Apply cream curl definer to prevent my hair from getting crunchy
4. Apply gel using the palm of my hand in a circular motion to activate the curls
5. Use the end of a rattail comb to lightly separate the curls so that there are no sparse areas
6. With gel on my fingertips I grab and press down any flyaways to minimize frizz… a rattail comb may also be used to press and tuck any flyaways
7. Use gel to smooth down edges and sideburns
