Hi my name is Viny B, I'm a full time mechanical engineer and I've been building many things over the past years and since I'm a big youtube fan, now I also want to share my projects with you! If you want to share your projects, pictures or questions with me, you can send me a email at: design57@outlook.com
Hope that you will subscribe and follow my journey and projects on RU-vid! 😁👍
I’m in Nova Scotia, what’s the chance of providing the company name or location of where to obtain the belting. Love the idea, for easy return of the floor you could add a counter wind to save the effort and not get in the trailer and pull it back.
Ah sorry mate, it was some overstock from an old project of the shop I work for. But check on marketplace for an old conveyor belt, you might get lucky!
Nice! I like the sled you put on the end, very clever. I used a commercially made "Load Handler" unloader on my Ranger flatbed rather than adding a hydraulic dump and it worked very well.
i just got the $50 one for my truck to help me unload with my lawncare company . so far far it is a massive improvement but still needs a lot of work before it is a s full blow system .
Saludos desde Puerto Rico, i am a beginner in welding at my late age, my question at what temperature and amp do you set your welder for 14 gage steel welding. Thank you
So if I got this straight, you copied other backhoe designs had the parts fabricated by someone else and you welded them together. I think it'd be cheaper just to buy a used backhoe attachment
sure, if building it is not for you! But good luck finding one in good condition at a low price! Cause I checked in my area before ''copying'' other backhoes and it was either super old, or too expensive! But, there's always more than one way!
Nice work! I’ve been working on the exact same thing for my dad’s large flat deck trailer. I build some trailer at my last job that used this type of system to unload hemp after harvesting.
Great job. You know what they say... It's not a dumb idea if it works. This looks like it should last long enough for you to build plans for a compact dump trailer kit. I can't wait to watch that build series!
Question de donner un meilleur show 😉
Very good job👍💪 I stole that idea a few years back for my double axle trailer, because a tipper was to expensive. Made it with a 12v electric wich but i need a stronger pipe, it bends a bit. But it works.
You should put a electric winch from the belt to the front so you can pull the belt back forward without getting up in the trailer and doing it by hand
Another great build Viny! I made one a while back. Works pretty good, I like it. So far I unloaded 2084 lbs (weigh slip @ waste site) of shingles (not quite lol, I removed probably 100-200 lbs that were catching on the sides first) then it unloaded, barely with that weight but it did. FYI. I removed the handle & welded the nut on the winch. I use a long ratchet so I'm not bending to the ground as much & when I use it for my firewood I had my 1/2" corded heavy duty drill there with a socket. It takes all the torque the drill has. I unload it in short bumps, usually a dozen or so logs & wait for my converted hay escalator/wood conveyor to put it in the window. Crappy video, I have to do more lol. It was just after it was made & empty. I really need to do more videos but I usually get caught up in what I'm doing & forget lol. I'm no RU-vidr lol. ru-vid.comSHserM2SJ6s
Another great project. You should try and patent your material and the way you built it, because you were correct, the material sucked, and if you didn't tear it in the first 5 loads, you bent the rod or stripped the gears. The only problem I see with yours is where the belts overlap. I bet you could use rubber cement or another adhesive to weld them together. I know it wasn't in your budget, but an 1/8in sheet of melamine or even lexan/plastic would cut down friction. Love your shop and especially the fixture table. Someday....
You would have b33n better off thinning the edges of the two parts and taping them for uniform thickness and no wrinkles. There would basically never be stress on the joint anyway.
