people procreating are contributing to society's downfall, the gov/elites/billionaires will never stop taking advantage of you, your kids and their kids after them. The system is broken, and we're all just modern-day slaves serving our corpo-lords. It baffles me that people still choose to bring more innocent lives to this hell hole we live in, the reasons are so shallow too: "c'est la vie" (not it's not, you just chose to see it that way), "but I don't wanna die alone!" (so you'd rather your off-springs continue living after you in this misery just because you didn't wanna die alone?! no to mention you will still probably die alone in many circumstances!), "but life is beautiful and it's a gift!" (yeah no shit! it's mesmerizing on the outside, but once you dig in you realize you're a slave to "earning your living"). Just because the elites want more slaves to continue building their empires for them until robots are mainstream, doesn't mean we look the other way and still give them more manpower! 🤦🏻♂🤦🏻♂
The chain is the market. It forces the ruling class to grow (continue eating) as they compete with eachother. The cook is the middle management that has been spared so far but fears for its position and therefore kills the revolution (big cat).
The anarchist undertones of Dinner for Few are demonstrated by how the revolution (tiger) formed by a united proletariat (cats) failed to tackle the all-controlling state (butler), who destroys the once promising revolution by creating a new elite class of exploiters (pigs) from the former revolutionary masses. The capitalist pigs cannibalise their surroundings out of greed for infinite consumption and profit at the expense of the environment (surrounding objects) and masses who increasingly demand a larger share of the total wealth hoarded by the bourgeoisie, who occasionally hand over limited concessions (food scraps- panem [bread]) and are keep the proletariat distracted with entertainment (the toy mouse- circenses [circuses]). Those who begin questioning the capitalist system (chain snake) binding everything together and keeping the rich richer and the poor poorer are targeted and silenced by it to suppress dissident (the black cat [sabo-tabby vibes]). As we reach late stage capitalism requiring infinite resources on a finite planet despite all resources being exhausted and both proletariat and bourgeoisie fight amongst themselves for the scraps of what's left, revolution brews as the masses become increasingly desperate for a more egalitarian system. How the first pig killed by revolution is the judge representing law highlights how when faced with serious threat in the dire circumstances of imminent revolution, the state disregards the rule of law in favour of increasingly authoritarian suppression of dissident as state repression is always proportional to the the threat it believes it faces. Post-revolution is when the anarchist themes of the film become more obvious; while Marxists would argue that it is possible for the proletarian to create a state controlled by the masses after overthrowing the capitalist dictatorship of the bourgeoisie, anarchists believe every effort to overthrow the capitalist elite without overthrowing the state would ultimately lead to the creation of a new elite under the new state capitalist system. How the tiger slept on the table instead of killing the butler made it blind and vulnerable to the butler murdering the tiger and ultimately creating a new elite exploiting class from the former proletariat; reflecting the anarchist belief in the importance of dismantling the state which is intertwined with capitalism during the revolution, otherwise the revolution would offer limited progress from the old exploitative system.
The people united to eliminate the whole system starting with the law, but I also liked how the rich pig sent them all chasing something meaningless to keep them occupied.
Erst kürzlich nen neuen Film zum gleichen Thema gesehen, nicht so lang allerdings....1993..mannoman und wohl immernoch aktuell, oder wieder. Aber mir zum Glück nie live begegnet. ❤️
IT'S 100% RIGHT WE ARE THE CATS BEGGING FOR SCRAPS UNTIL WE STOP FIGHTING EACH OTHER AND GET TOGETHER AND STAND UP TO THE GREEDY ELITES IN POWER OPPRESSING US AND FEEDING US BULLSHIT AND STEALING OUR MONEY OUR FREEDOMS AND OUR RIGHTS AND BRAINWASHING US WITH A BUNCH OF LIES AND PROPAGANDA THROUGH MAINSTREAM LYING CORPORATE MEDIA LIKE CNN/MSNBC/ABC/NBC/FOX ETC. AND IF WE DON'T WAKE UP FROM THEIR LIES AND OPPRESSION IT'S JUST A REPETITIVE VICIOUS CYCLE. THEY ARE A FEW AND WE ARE SEA OF MANY
"Those who eat their fill speak to the hungry of wonderful times to come." That feels false on it's face. "Those who eat their fill speak to the hungry" as though they just need to be hungrier. "Those who speak to the poor of wonderful times to come" are also those who don't see that wonderful times don't need to be fed.
At the end, the one who is really guilty of sustaining the system of our society is the government, whose always wants to split the society and avoid them turning into the menacefull tiger 🤨✊
