Nothing Happens | Animated short film by Michelle & Uri Kranot 

Sad in a way. Like today, many people would rather video someone drowning, than jumping in and pulling them out. Like the musicians, people were so wrapped up in their own emotion that didn’t care to acknowledge they had come to comfort them. Moral of the story:….LOVE EACHOTHER. Tell someone today “I love & appreciate you.” For Tomorrow May never come.

It is very simple. The characters in the animation are looking at us. And we are looking at them. It is a joke. While we are waiting for something to happen, so are they. While we are waiting we make assumptions about what the animation is. Is it a hanging, some other kind of execution? In the end nothing really happens and everyone leaves.

I loved the animation style, it's undoubtedly wonderful, but I didn't understand a damn thing about it. I mean I know it talks about death, and a farewell, and the music for death, but I don't know what's so profound about it. Well don't get mad at me, I think it's a good short film, it's a pity I didn't understand what it's about.
