Thank you for this video, I amazed my husband replacing the blower motor with this, I'm now a super star, mine was slightly different being the air con version, just an extra plug really, We now have air perfect thank you.
Does anyone know if the boot lid is supposed to spring open all the way on its own, after pressing the release button (either on the remote or the boot lid itself)? I've replace my gas struts and it STILL does not pop open like I would expect it to. Any thoughts?
Thanks for sharing. With help of your video I have been able to replace the abs sensor and have fixed the issue. I ordered the original part on eBay as well, had some trouble to mount it back on but with a little help of some wood and a large metal ring and a hammer I got it back on.
Great video. This was really helpful. A couple of my findings in case it helps anyone out there. My car is a 58 plate UK RHD. So its getting old!. The plastic side parts that goes to the windscreen could be pulled upward without any tools. Those came out with a bit of gentle force. The main problem i had was unblocking the drain pipes and wiper arm removal. Getting the wiper arm nuts off was easy but the arms refused to come off after years of corrosion, even with WD40 applied. Had to buy a pulling tool from a local shop (as you suggested), and that then did the trick. Drivers side drain pipe was blocked but unblocked easily using stiff bit of copper wire with tape wrapped around the end so it wasn't sharp. But the passenger side was totally blocked and would not shift. In the end, i used boiling hot water in the hole and a plumbers cleaning tool, like a brush on a flexible pipe. Eventually it shifted it!. Loads of black crud came out the bottom.. Then finished up with a hose pipe and flushed both drains through. Done. Now how does this long rubber seal clip back into place along the scuttle tray? Just seems to sit there without any clips along the front? assume it just sits there..
Thanks for the extra info. Re that rubber seal... think it's supposed to clip onto the sound deadening moulding, but on mine that moulding has lost it's rigidity so I have that moulding cable tied to the plastic cowling to hold it in place, then the rubber seal, in the centre portion anyway, just sits on top. I've had it like that for a few years now!
@@iofix That makes sense, yes the sound deading on mine is also totally floppy in the middle area and wont fix to the rubber seal. So cables ties it is !! Cheers.
Hi... Been watching another video where they are replacing bulbs in the panel at the top above the radio. With this top peoce removed. Would you have access to the Resistor for the blower motor.??.
Your steps worked a treat. Both low beam bulbs replaced within 20 mins and $30. Imagine what Hyundai would have stung me for the same. Excellent vid. 👍
Wow, i can't believe it helped! Visualy there was nothing wrong, but it wasnt working at all, after this cleaning all the buttons fully working! Many thanks!!!! :)
I never normally comment on videos, however this SAVED my car. Super clear video, worked with my Kia Picanto 2010 - I found if you know what the cable feels like, you can open the fuse compartment and reach round to unclip and re-clip the wire without taking apart the car. Super helpful video!!
Brilliant! Sounds exactly the same as my 2003 Hyundai Terracan (probably the same part). In my case it has had this issue twice (crank, no start). Both times after being laid up in a damp corner of the yard for a few months. There was one point where the inside looked very damp indeed, so perfect conditions for encouraging contact corrosion. Each time it's been towed out in front of my workshop in the sun and a few days later started fine. It was only the other day I noticed the lack of immobiliser key symbol when it didn't start, and when symbol there, it starts perfectly. In light of this video will pull the coil, test and if O.K. refit after a dose of contact cleaner and a good wiggle! Thanks again 🙂
Thanks bud! Thankfully I discovered your method myself by accident after I saw the video that required bumper removal. This is a super helpful tip for those who are going down that road! Cheers from New Zealand - Mitch
Very helpful. My A4 is 2006 with 4 switches so slightly different set up and had to also remove arm rest from rear (T20 torques). Brass contacts also different, tiny rockers. Once contacts cleaned worked a treat!
Thanks Mark, yes I agree the rear light clusters can be a common point of water ingress on many cars - another reason why I should have looked there first! :)
