Cheilitis. That’s what the condition on the corners of your lips is called. Ask your dermatologist about it. They can give you a cream called clotrimazole betamethasone to help cure it.

I just found your channel and made the Cauliflower Lentil bowl for dinner last night! So delicious! I’m gluten free and plant based so I really appreciate your suggestions for plant based substitutions for the meal plan. I’m going ti make the Rice, Sage dish with chicken peas next! I really love your content and recipe ideas!

20 meals for two people is 3 and 1/3 days’ worth of food. That comes out to roughly $495 a month, which is good relative to the times, but still so expensive 😩

Clean as you go?? It doesn’t sound as easy at first but if you’ve already got everything planned out, you should know which dishes you need to use to cook. If there’s something that goes in the oven, make it first and then make everything else that is made on top of the oven and after everything finishes cooking and you’ve packed it away, clean it quickly before moving onto the next thing to cook

I taught my elderly mum to make these. She's nearly 80, diabetic and lives by herself. Mum would buy so much prepackaged foods that it was not helping her diabetes. I showed mum these can take seconds to make, using leftover cooked vegetables, and cooked extremely fast in the microwave. They're a staple food for her now.

As a unmarried mama of 2 girls, this series is amazing! It’s exposing me and girls to new, healthy recipes and cannot beat the budget. Because they’re only 11 & 12, they don’t eat a lot so there is always leftovers and they ask for them for lunch for school the next day! I feel like I’m winning life (it doesn’t take much😆)!! Thank you for all you do, I am grateful! ✨🙏🏽✨

I would be so healthy if I only had to cook for myself. I hate cooking now. HATE it. When someone expects you to cook every day for every meal you start to resent cooking.

Just be careful of the consistency, I like to remove the amount of flour the recipe needs depending on how much protein powder I use

Pro tip: on that soup, when you have all that crisp on the bottom of your pan when you cook the onions and spices, put your broth in next, before the bwans and stuff, and deglaze the pan (just stir with a silicon spatula until most if that has come off the bottom). It will lift all that flavor into your soup AND remove it from your time spent scrubbing the pan afterwards. 👍✔️
@yomama1254

Oops, I missed a step. Toast your rice, then deglaze with the broth.

Hi! Im a person who is just starting to learn how to feed themselves on a budget without relying on fast food. I only recently started watching your channel and greatly appreciate the time and care you put into your videos to help folks like me lead a healthier life on a budget. All the recipies you make look so good, and i appreciate that you make them dairy free. Also that the recipies are malleable enough to accommodate a vegetarian diet. Thank you for all the help you're providing to people like me❤

I think one has to purchase food no matter how it's prepared. Even if it's the drive thru, there's 10 to 15 minutes involved--every meal. 2x/ day times 7 days...3 hours a week...there's your meal prep time. Restaurants would be more time. Daily cookig and weekly prep will take the same amount of time to shop for. I don't think daily cooking takes more time than meal prep, but if one can organize themselves to do it, I think weekly prep, (even if it's only the vegetable chopping tbh) reduces chaos during the week. And for me prep work increases nutrition. If it's just as easy to pop a serving of soup in the nuker and scoop some salad out of a keeper as it is to eat crackers and peanut butter, I will choose the balanced meal most of the time..

@yomama1254
@yomama1254 4 дня назад
More n likely yours takes longer unless some of the kids are getting old enough to help chop and other prep work. Even if they're little guys, if one plans and preps it stands to reason that at any scale, it will be more time efficient to get the bulk of the labour of each meal done in one weekly swoop. Even if one only does the Weekly planning and veggie prep, without cooking things ahead, it would make the after school and work routine for a family that size so much easier. I live alone and I meal prep because it's a commitment. I ignore plans if i haven't made things easy to stay on track. If it's already done, I won't swing by the burrito truck or eat pnut butter and crackers

Thank you so much - i love this longer youtube video format! so calming ( the quick ones on ig give me anxiety 😁) I´d love to see more of these sunday meal prep videos and also i though it would be great to prep different easy to grab ingredients that will make cooking during the week easier. Like for instance to have chicken already cooked on hand or tofu already marinated, to have hummus prepped and veggie sicks already cut on sunday so it´s easier to chose a healthy snack during the week!

Loving this channel! I like the weekly meal plan the best of the videos so far, but this is a close second. Don’t think I could do it in 90 min bc I’m slow 😆 but loved the easiness of the ideas while still using fresh ingredients. Planning on trying a few out soon!
