I'm looking for a shredder that can shred plastic. Unfortunately, I can't build one myself. Can I buy one? Unfortunately, I can only find large ones for industry. Unfortunately, I can't find a contact button on your website.
But what do you do with the sheet other than a chair rug? As a hobbyist this is not really practical as most people can't afford those equipment to recycle the material. A plastic shredder alone costs more than $1k. I've tried melting PLA at home but most of it turns into vapor. Moving on.
They should try getting those panels longer and they will be a lot more useful for wall paneling or kitchen worktops etc it seems the limiting factor just now is size. another idea would be plastic logs (log cabin) or bricks (giant lego) which could be used for building especially if they are hollow and could be filled with insulation foam. However just having a large panel with foam core and plastic on both sides could be used in construction. Similar to GRP panels. If getting longer lengths is impossible then perhaps moulding in some sort of locking system like a dovetail joint so they physically join to each other would work or use cnc to create the dovetail ends joining pieces could be used with dovetail holes at various angles making the process of building something fairly easy. There's a huge amount of potential there personally I like the giant lego's one but that's because i'm a big kid at heart.
Domos kapulart makes Dome kits on You Tube Channel, I say that you make beams, He has an erector set all together dome House in many different styles, He uses wood but the same can be done with Plastic beams, and the metal connector,
What are some of the primary uses of these large sheets? Are they mainly fashion or design pieces? Can they be used in a source of manufacturing? Im genuinely curious as to what happenes after the sheet is made.
Major problem with the bottom mold press plate is it doesn't stay horizontal as it retracts which most likely will drop your mold on the floor damaging it when the press plate is retracted. Another thing is that the bottom jack mount plate is questionable whether or not it will eventually develop a depression due to being under constant high pressure, bridging should be added under the bottom jack mounting plate.
