Very difficult to gain access with the star key even worse if there is lock tight on the bolts but not impossible with a lot of swearing 🇦🇺🤠after a few beers job should be completed...cheers🍻
lam from Greece.i have a z1300 .i want to know if you could fix the carburetors .can i send them; how can i have your e mail in order have a comunication and tell me how much it will cost
Hi. I have heard you can do as wide as 200 if you take the chrome cover off from shaft but I would not recommend it. Slim rims. I never increased the size of mine if I remember correctly.
I appreciate you putting these videos out. The dealership has struggled to assist me with my bike and i am hoping to figure out why the previous owner put a clamp on filter on the carburetor. I have just enough knowledge to really screw myself lol
Hi. You're very welcome, I'm glad they're still helping people. A clamp on the filter...interesting... is it a wide clamp? My first thought is that he tried to restrict the amount of air going into the carburettor - which equals to enriching the mixture.
HELLO BRO, I ENJOY YOUR TUTORIALS BECAUSE HELP ME A LOT, I HAVE AN 2003 SUZ INTRUDER VOLUSIA VL800 40 ANIVERSARY AND I NEED YOUR HELP. THE WATER PUMP IS LEACKING SO IS DAMAGE ON IT, I BAOUGH A NEW WATER PUMP KIT WITH THERMOSTAT... DO YOU HAVE ANY VIDEO TO SHOW ME HOW TO REPLACE IT ? AND WHERE IS THE RADIATOR CAP TO FILL IT ? ILL APRECIATE SO MUCH YOUR HELP ON THIS, HAVE A NICE DAY !¡!
Hi mate. I'm really glad the videos are helping. Unfortunately I don't have a video on how to replace the pump, and I can't record one because I don't have this bike anymore. I'm sure I can find instructions on how to do it thought, if that helps.
HI, THAT BE GREAT IF YOU CAN FIND AND SEND ME ANY VIDEO OF WATER PUMP KIT REPLACEMENT OF 2003 SUZUKI INTRUDER VOLUSIA VL800. ILL APRECIATE SO MUCH, HAVE A NICE DAY.
Hi. Sorry for late reply. No, you need the thermostat...it regulates the coolant flow. Let me know your email, I'll send you pages of the manual that talks about the water pump.
Love your video really helpful. My bike it’s missing a few bolts the rear fender … could you point me in the right direction when it comes to the right sizes for the bolts 🙏
Hello. Thanks for stopping by, much appreciated. I'm afraid I'm unable to check the bolt sizes now as the bike has gone to the next owner a while back. Hopefully someone will see this comment and assist.
Hello. Thank you for visiting my channel. No, it shouldn't leak out as the diaphragm in the valve should stop it. That said, it's easier when it's empty as it will be much lighter. All the best.
IN MY 2003 VOLUSIA I START IT TODAY AND TURN ON LIKE EVER BUT THE STARTER KEEP ON, I TURN OFF THE SWITCH AND THE STARTER KEEP ON, I DISCONECT THE BATERY AND WAS OFF... DO YOU HAVE A TUTORIAL TO REPLACE THE STARTER ??
Hi. That sounds like an issue with your starter button on handlebar. I would check this first as it sounds it's sticking. If it's not the button, then next in line is starter solenoid that needs checking.
@@Maraggie HI THANKS FOR THE ADVISE, I CHECK THE HANDLEBAR START BOTTON AND IS FERFECT SO I CHE K ON THE SOLEINOID AND DONT WORK, I REPLACED IT AND IS WORK PERFECTLY NOW BUT... WHAT COUSE SOLEINOID WORKS BAD OR DAMAGE ? THANKS AGAIN !¡!
Thank you for the tear down instructions and the rebuild! Just doing my 1995 Triumph 900 Mikuni’s and without seeing exactly to do the process, gave me the confidence to complete the task.
👍Looking Good . In the last Episode , you mentioned Ignition Switch . The rear , top Engine Mount , would it fit in the Speedhole ? I rewired my Z1300 , and have mine fitted there in a bracket I made .
Looks great on a different note I have a bike that you built a few years ago the Kawasaki gxp 750r did you build with a expansion tank fitted it has not got one how do you think it will be alright to run t with out one I apologise it inappropriate to ask you ,mick
Saludos Amigo¡ ¿Como puedo conseguir el cristal de el velocimetro ya que el de mi intruder esta agrietado y no puedo ver lo que marca lo de la gasolina? Muchas gracias anticipadas 🙏 😊
GREAT video! I am "reviving" a 1981 KZ1300 that's been sitting for 20+ years in my dry storage. So far, carbs look surprisingly good. I wasn't sure how to separate the linkage rods which is how I found your video. Gonna continue on then soak all of this stuff in a pale of carb cleaner from the local parts store. Then re-assy per your video in reverse method. Thanks again!!
@@Maraggie Getting my butt kicked on setup and sync now. Any vids or tips for this? Initially just verified that all butterflies are opening at the same time while on the bench, visually. But one carb pulls my hand pretty good when I cover up the intake of the crab, the other 2, not nearly the same. Could be a vac leak in the intake boot too I suspect. Any tips? Thanks in advance
@@jster171 Hi. Interesting. I would check the diaphragms first for tears as that's normally the vac issue. Then as you said, the boots (spray them with soapy water, see if they'll bubble up). As for the sync I normally do it with a feeler gauge to get them as close as possible to even. I take it with all of the above you had the bike running. Does it idle bad?
I've got one like it, but it didn't come with the instructions for converting it into the 2 smaller units. Is there any way to find out the instructions?
Great 👌...I also own a VL800 and would like to add Ape handlebars just like here! On the subject of clutch cable, brake cable and throttle cable, do the originals fit or do everything need to be replaced? I'd appreciate every answer or assistance regarding
Hi. Depends how high you want to go. I had to replace the cables with longer ones for the apes I had. These were 16 or 18 inch. Can't recall now, sorry. You should be able to get universal kits for both, trim to required length and install.
I’ve just bought one of these - the instructions in the pack is dreadful so went to you tube for clear instructions. Sadly it’s not clear at all - a very disappointing mumbly video.
How did you wire your project bike to run without a wiring loom I'm building a Z 1300 it's a injection engine in a 1979 frame I'm going to use carbs ,I have an injected Z1300 wiring harness Also a igniter and rectifier but switch gear ignition on 79 model is different tobthevday ZG injection model, I'd like to get it running so I know the engine is ok Been following your project Frederick Elliott
I wire my bikes from scratch since typically stock looks are old, manky and deteriorated. Funny enough I did record an overview of this electric board for someone else. Have a look ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-M5Y1Es6B_Pc.htmlsi=Mrtb3ljcGsZBJ4as
Why are the carbs on your tee shirt upside down, Great Air box by the way , PS when will you do the video of reassembling the z13 carburettors I enjoyed the the dismantling video Fred
Design error on first sample but look kind of funny.. like three minions with googles and hats. They're correct way up in the shop 👍. Happy to do carb assembly next time I'll have them apart, no problem. And thank you for feedback on airbox, appreciated 💪
