I've only found out about these today and they look perfect for my application. Thank you for explaining your issues as found, it helps future owners like me. I expect it should cope with folding up to 0.5mm titanium or stainless steel. Subscribed.

Hello. Thanks for feedback, appreciated. 0.5mm? Easily.

Thanks a lot for the very informative and apparently truely independent review. I am obviously very eager to see the announced 'reporting back after a couple of month', ideally with some footage of actually working with the machine and your progress in adjusting the rolls symmetrically. Happy Holidays!

Hello. Thank you for your feedback, much appreciated. Tool came in handy quite a bit to help me fabricate plenum and electrics box. So far I've managed to get around the issue of ensuring both sides of rollers by working with bigger pieces of metal that I could trim later. It's not ideal and I'm still thinking about modifying the machine. At the moment I'm all packed up as we're in the process of moving houses but 2021 should come with new workshop and new videos so stay tuned, appreciate your interest. Happy Holidays to you and family too.

Hi. If you can afford it, go with the bigger one... I thought this one would be sufficient but recently I had few situations where I struggled and could really do with more width. Also, rollers are proving to be really annoying. It's difficult to adjust both sides to produce a curve that's even on both sides of metal part. There is not enough precise control to ensure that one end doesn't create greater curve than the other. All the best, Marcin

Thanks so much for this video. It is definitely helpful. Did you ever figure a way to adjust the rollers without having to use two knobs?

You're very welcome. Not yet... I had a bit of a break from fabrication which I will be picking back up this winter as I'm building a custom Z1300 and I will definitely be using rollers. If I work a way out, I'll share it.

I've been considering the 760mm version and it looks decent if the quality stays similar to yours, a little bit of cleaning and adjustment before use shouldn't be too much of an issue

Definitely go for longer 760... It didn't take me long to want to cut a piece of a big sheet and I couldn't...much to my frustration.

@@Maraggie More expensive but I'm betting it'll pay for itself in the long run, thanks for the review

Thanks for the review, do you think it will be able to bend 2 mm aluminum?
@Maraggie
@Maraggie 3 года назад
Hi. Should do. I went thicker with steel, I see no reason why it wouldn't bend softer metal. Rollers spread apart sufficiently for it. Warning, it's rather difficult to adjust the rollers from both sides to ensure the bend doesn't trail away to left or right... I still need to work this out.

@@Maraggie Perhaps make another handle to enable you to operate both ends simultaneously.

It did cross my mind. One for winter months :)

I've been speaking with an owner who uses his to bend 2mm aluminium on a daily basis and he's using a 600mm extension bar on the handle for greater leverage. There is a hydraulic brake manufactured in the UK by Smithfield Tools called the S12RT which is available in 305 or 400mm and capable of bending 5mm steel and 3mm aluminium. It may well fold thicker than 3mm aluminium. I've just recieved my Katsu 305mm Metal Forming Machine and the Smithfield Tools 400 is my next buy for 1.5mm titanium.

Immer nur Werbung und viel Kommentar. Warum zeigt denn Niemand die praktische Anwendung der Maschine?
