@@space99dude I was looking to do the same. I like ceramic bezels. I have a pro diver automatic titanium that I would like to change the bezel to a ceramic
@yoyex2009 It wasn't easy as it didn't fit. The original is a very thin aluminium but the replacement one being ceramic was too wide both in outer and inner circumference. So I had to use a dremel with a abrasive metal attachment to go round it get it to fit. Unfortunately if you look closer you can see where I messed it up a bit ..it's still not completely flush as just too deep..But got it in and looking good at a glance. Will post video on Friday about it.
Well done my friend!! I've done this a few times replacing cheap aluminum bezels with more colorful ceramic inserts. If you leave the bezel submerged a little longer the old adhesive will come out easier. The 3M adhesive can be tricky. Sometimes the adhesive is not the correct size. In that case you need to cut it into three or four sections and place it on the bezel first, just as you did.
With everything screwed down tight it shouldn't let any acetone in. But yes if you want to be certain of not compromise in any of the gaskets then removing the movement gaskets etc but probably be best but I didn't want to get involved with that so I'm taking the risk. You should only do this at your own risk plus only put a depth of acetone that will immerse the front of the bezel but not the whole watch that way it shouldn't get into anything else.
@@Mate2Frio Thanks I didn't know that. I found a ytube video that has both the batman and batgirl side by side they explained batgirl it's almost the same but has slimmer lugs.. and judging by the comments on his video most seem to prefer the jubilee bracelet version. I love it now better than when it had the Pepsi insert. Look super classy.
It's close but actually has quite a few differences. Certainly a homage but not a direct replica. Pretty much every main watch manufacturer does very similar pepsi style watches. Seiko for one. They all copy the Rolex look many day date and submariner look alike from Sekonda and Seiko Timex citizen etc . They all copy each other.
It's a beauty. Why spend thousands on a Rolex when you can get a watch with a Seiko movement GMT and 70 hours power reserve. Only question I have is on the jubilee bracelet how comfortable is it? Is it a hair puller?
It's pretty comfortable not pulling my hairs. I balanced out the bracelet because the buckle wasn't in the middle so I've taken links from one side put onto the other side so now it's nicely balanced and the clasp is in the middle of my wrist. The very slight sharpness I have smoothed off just by using a fibre cloth given it a good polish to knock off the slight sharpness. Didn't need to use wet and dry like I did on the pagani air King homage. It's really quite a stunning watch especially for the money mucho impressive. 👍
How are you liking this. Would never buy an airking but love the look of the watch and at the price even one of my daughters could afford it as a Xmas present (if any of my daughters learnt how to save money 😂)
@@jamesmartin3004 Really great watch that not many people wear so it's a bit more individual. I think the watch is a bit Marmite you either love it or you hate it . I love it .
Cool . Such a pity mine doesn't work I really wanted to wear it. . Looking at mine I'm not sure if mine plays the music like you said there are other models. I might keep a lookout for another one that actually works. Thanks for watching
Thanks really appreciate the feedback. I look for good deals on quality interesting watches. And being open-minded to different styles. Thanks for watching.
