man, knowing your first language is french, i'm so sad you chose to speak to charles in english, instead of speaking french and putting subtitles in. i get that it's more effort, but charles' reactions and answers are always so much nicer when he's speaking french
It has nothing to do with effort. I don't think people understand how many layers and approvals have to happen for me to able to sit down with these drivers. The PR person is in the room and their language isn't French so speaking French isn't an option.
Hi Toni, I´m doing my dissertation project on this exact topic. Could you tell me which were your sources or how did you gather your information? thanks!!!
I tried watching this video because of my love for the sport and to better understand the perspective of the drivers. But maybe it's just me, I found it really annoying that after every word the drivers said, the interviewer kept saying 'yeah' constantly. It was distracting and frustrating to hear it every second. I believe an interviewer should stay quiet until the interviewee has finished speaking and paused. I don’t like to criticize, but I hope this serves as constructive feedback for future interviews so I can actually enjoy listening to them. What a shame…
Phenomenal interview. Just one small tip for long form, when the other person is talking avoid saying things like “yeah, okay, etc” as it doesn’t listen well for the viewer.
These things happen but thanks for the feedback. This was a completely spontaneous interview and we didn't have our normal equipment (i.e. the good mics) but we couldn't miss this opportunity.
@@tonicowan-brown It makes it even more real tbh. It showcases the work of a journalist perfectly. Thank you for making it happen in the first place, glad you took the opportunity when you saw it!
I would have loved to hear more about what Carlos thought too, it would have been interesting to know both parties. The interview was really interesting.
Waoh, amazing interview! It's good to hear something different from the usual ones, with more in-depth questions. Charles and Carlos seemed super confortable. Feels like they even wanted to give you longer answers than what you were maybe expecting ahahah. Must have felt refreshing for them as well
Why did not you interview Carlos separated on the same questions as Charles’s ? It looks like it is only Charles’s interview not the Ferrari team’s one
@@tonicowan-brown That only partially answer the question above thou, I imagine you mean that's how AWS wanted you to proceed? Which makes sense considering what's in the future of both drivers, with limited time "prority" is given to the one who'll stick around and as such sponsored by them?
So excited to see this interview after being teased on the short form socials. Love your content and your perspective! Edit: After watching, all I can say is wow. To hear from the drivers in a more long-form interview was so refreshing. Most interviews with drivers or team personnel are so brief and rushed. You weren't looking for a sound bite, and they weren't trying to give you one. Incredible interview Toni, thanks for putting the video together.
Worth the wait! I love this interview and hearing the thoughts of these drivers on the sport, data & all of us learning ‘cloud computing’ in multiple languages. Brava! 👏🏽
Wow what a great in depth interview about the backstage technological aspect behind this sport that we all love to watch. And also thanks for thinking from the perspective of us fans and thanks to Charles and Carlos for explaining everything in layman language. Good wishes to both of them and Team Ferrari cause they desperately need it right now!
Great interview! Please be careful on now cutting him off or trying to say things for him, sorry not trying to hate but that made it feel a little less natural.
The questions you asked were amazing… this was one of the most thought provoking interviews I’ve ever seen a driver do. Congratulations on an awesome interview!
Such a good video, It's rare that we get to see a technical long form video on F1, especially one from a driver's viewpoint which is going to be less technical by nature.
You've done an amazing job at threading the needle between asking questions about the personal and technical aspects of what makes a great F1 driver. Brilliant discussion and perspective from both Charles and Carlos on striking the balance between innate feelings vs. data-driven insights and the impact it has on their approach to driving.
ive loved every single second of this video! ive followed you on tiktok for a long time now and enjoy your content and input a lot. it has helped me get more immersed in motorsport. it was very interesting and useful hearing the more technical side of f1 from the drivers perspective. i do love the casual interviews but ones like this dont come around ofter and i will always love them more. also you were leading this interview so well and asked amazing questions and made drivers feel free to speak and got amazing info from them. thank you for this interview!!
Hi hun. You are the winner of the giveaway. Can you send me a DM on Instagram (linked above) and I'll get that sorted fo you asap. Congrats again and thanks for watching.
i have been watching formula 1 ever since i was a baby basically haha but i didn't have a choice since my dad was obsesseddd. i remember sitting down for lunch and he was running back and forth to check the tv for the tiniest updates about the race. i couldn't really understand it back then, but around 2021 something clicked in my brain and i am just like my dad now :) we have always been a part of the tifosi, therefore seeing this duo seperating that i've always known and supported since being an official fan makes my heart ache. nonetheless i am forever grateful to my dad to introduce me to a world, the world of F1 which now i can't live without and everytime i watch it makes me feel like home <3 this year i was lucky enough to work at my home gp and i got the chills :')forza ferrari sempre and also thank you for this amazing video!
Also one thing I like about seeing interview with those drivers from different countries and languages is hearing their accent in english. 🧡 Having your original accent is good
