Move all those wood chips with a wheelbarrow….Good Luck with that!…see ya in a few years. Your gonna need to rent a Bobcat or larger tractor with a front loader. I’d use some of those trees to line a trail, then used the wood chips on the path and/or to landscape with around the home. Just beware it is not cedar so it may attract ants or termites. You’ll find something to do with it. Sell to schools for playgrounds or to a local nursery.
Thanks for these, you guys are doing a great job! There’s 3 groups of channels I follow and watch all the time: tractor/equip channels, RVers, and homesteaders. Some crossover happens a lot. Very fun to watch you guys branch out. By the way, I heard that comment about not moving all those chips with a wheel barrow. Keeping that in back of my mind…lol. Thanks guys!
Well all these wood chips mixed with some. Chemicals and resins can be made into wood soft boards which later can be used as insulating material....just mentioning ,check out if its practical
I love these videos. It’s exciting to see the improvements you are making. Your work crew makes cutting those trees look easy, but we all know it’s very dangerous.
Adding wood chips to a trail surface is a no go. Wood chips + soil = muck. Depending on your environment, it could be months or years, but it will end up as muck. Adding a separation barrier, geo-textile, will help and delay the process.
Have enjoyed keeping up with your adventures but I do have a question that does not pertain to this video. We watched your video in the refurbishment of your Lance camper. We have an older model that has been well taken care of. I believe you removed and added a new seal to the front window in the cab over section. How did you find and purchase the seal? We have tried everything we know to have our seal replaced as it has started leaking. Have not been able to make that happen. Please advise where we can find the seal, who we could possibly contact to have it replaced. We’ve called Lance, no response. We understand they are not working everyday and have a much smaller staff than before. Any advice appreciated. Happy travels. And best wishes on your new home.
I believe we just used Butyl tape to re seal the front window. There is the ring that goes around the outside of the glass but I wasn’t able to find a replacement for that part. Hope this helps!
You might want to research the spread of the fungus through reusing the wood chips and treat accordingly. Not familiar with that type of fungus but better safe than spreading through reuse.
Well you certainly have enough wood chips for "Garden paths, Garden mulch, Composting, Mulching around (New) trees or Fruit Trees, covering wet muddy area's and Nature trails" ? Great video's and commentary can't wait for more content and watching your homestead grow.
We just bought a 2004 835 Lance and want to replace the cushion covers....where did you get yours? Do you have a link where you ordered them from? Love what you did with yours!!!
I am really excited for you. When this work is done, you will have many beautiful trees left that will flourish. It has been fun watching the work progress. I worked for a tree service right out of high school back in 1970/71. I loved that type of work. This brings back good memories for me.
