I feel like a lot of the platholes come from a misunderstanding in Japanese story telling. I do agree with your points, however, I believe a lot of fan are missing the fact this is Naruto Shippuden and not Naruto Season 2. We see this kind of super upscaling of story with things like street fighter TURBO, dragon ball Z or SUPER, etc. If it was a continuation of the same universe it would have been Naruto season 2. With that said, I do still think your points of world building falling apart still applies, but to shippuden. Once the war arc hits, you can tell the author wanted to show what everyone maxed out would look like, and most powerful everything. He threw his entire world building narratives into the garbage. Boruto is also not considered Naurto season 3, or shippuden season w/e. It is another universe on its own about magic space aliens.

I mean I'd argue Naurto was born and raised in a Ninja World he knows not even the basics about. There is clueless leads in shows but normally they are clueless cause they either aren't from there, never cared, or it is well hidden. Naruto went to a ninja school and never learned the basics and ninja is all he wants to be. I felt season one Ash was smarter. Also making Naruto a leader cause he is strong is really going to work out when he has to deal with a financial crisis.

I actually agree with your point, Naruto Shippudden is to Naruto like fucking Bleach is to Inuyasha; it’s loud, flashy, and obvious. But this essay just doesn’t have the editing or script to get that across in an entertaining manner.
One important thing to note about the kingdom of Rosas is that you can tell that people from around the world came there , but that they also assimilated and are all living together in peace and harmony despite being from different places. This is all under the leadership of King Magnifico and is something that has been pursued by many real world leaders past and present but never actually achieved. King Magnifico may be discriminatory towards wishes, but he's obviously open to different kinds of people living in his kingdom so long as they do their part to make it a good place to live. This is yet more evidence that certain committees are destroying movies. There’s no way this was the original premise for this film, it’s too disjointed for that to be the case. I bet that it used to be about dreams. The king somehow gained his power, and promised his people that he could protect them from their nightmares coming true, but it would cost them their dreams as well. Because they live in a land of magic where evil people can manifest your nightmares, the people decided to go along with his plan they willingly gave up their dreams. Turns out the king was the cause of nightmares being manifested all along, maybe he was cursed so that his own nightmares would come to life, and one of his nightmares was “What if this happened to everybody?”… so his answer was to have everyone give up their dreams to him so he could contain them and prevent nightmares from escaping. But then he got addicted to his power, and started using peoples dreams for his own pleasure. Unable to dream himself, plagued with only nightmares, he uses the dreams taken from his citizens. And all of this could be an allegory for movie studios, stealing ideas from writers, giving up your happiness for security, etc.

My theory is that many shonen mangaka eventually get bored with their own story as it gets longer and longer. They just throw anything at the wall to see what most interests them, and not the audience. We're seeing it happen right now with One Piece. It happened with Seven Deadly Sins, Fairy Tail, and many others.

Remember when it was a plot point that a hokage had to learn a massive amount of jutsus? Yeah that was forgotten at about Tsunade. I liked everything until the end of the chunin exam. Bleach did a similar thing with some elements of the fights still being interesting.

Imo Naruto is 9/10 until the Pain arc, which is the most important and cathartic moment of the entire show, resulting in people proclaiming Naruto as the hero of the village, with him being by far the strongest ninja in the Leaf. After that shit gets out of control in terms of power creep, plot holes, retconning and narrative dullness. You still got awesome moments, I mean Obito and Madara are two of the best villains ever and obviously there’s still a Sasuke to redeem, but overall it never reached the same level of writing and catharsis.
@@ayhamahmad2277 Agree, Guy not dying was a crime. Kaguya doesn't even fit in this universe, all that alien shit was just too much. The series should have ended with Madara as the final villain and it would have been 100x better, the plot holes would have still been there but at least the story would have had a more intimate, grounded and satisfying conclusion.

@@ayhamahmad2277 I think it would be nice since the Sharingan was so much OP that really amplified the power creep, so it would have been fair to obtain that power through something like dark charka, but in the end they would have found a way to make it easy to access, even the Byakugan used to be something special in the beginning. In my opinion jutsus like Susanoo or Amateratsu should have been the rarest and strongest justus, and they should have been used only in the end, instead by the first half of Naruto Kishimoto already needed to invent even stonger jutsu and ocular abilities Tsukyomi, Izanami, Izanaghi ecc.

This is a nicely done step by step presentation of Nick's long trajectory into the darkness. I was a nightly watcher for years once I found Nick and Ian Runkle during the Rittenhouse trial. He was such a proud father and great family man, who would often talk about his little children on his nightly Rumble shows. I noticed a big difference in him after he and Kayla started going to some of the Anime Conventions. Like you, I was disappointed to log in and see him with crude people like Camelot and Dick Masterson on his shows, instead of classy people like Viva Frei, Robert Barnes, and Ian Runkle that he had on in the past. I pray that he and his wife can come through their addictions and are able to put their lives back on track for the sake of their children. It's very sad to know that because of the internet and all the media exposure, that these innocent little ones will have to deal with these terrible memories for the rest of their lives.
