hi. enjoy your trip. We have the same setup on our roof, but we placed the tent in the middle to spread the weight between the 4 mounts on the roof. Now I got myself a double Jerry Can setup. I would like to add this to my roofrack, like yours, but are worried about moving our tent towards one side. Do you see any problems with putting more weight to 2 of the roof mounts? my wife and I together about 160kg. Cheers
Dunes on that road not too hectic (don't stress too much). Isuzu 3l crossed those dunes at 15-25km/h fully loaded in the middle of the day (ruts make it tricky to go fast). Traction controll off and low tyre pressure.
I love being able to spot this Jimny around CT every so often and to see how you go from completely packed full of gear to an empty rig with nothing on the roof. Jimnothy is such a great realistic example of what my dream vehicle + set-up looks like. Thank you for the inspiration!
Thanks! Much appreciated. We really fell in love with that place. Honestly we think they do the most with the budgets they get, so hopefully some upgrades are on the cards soon, as it seems SANParks are gradually making their way up north, upgrading infrastructure.
This was such a great event where most of us got to meet people we have been talking with for many years over social media. Was great meeting you guys at the event as well. Glad to see you held this video back for so long. Now we can think of all the memory's of that weekend.. Hopefully we will see another one happening in the years to come..
We couldn't agree more! So awesome meeting you guys too. We only held it back, as we re-edited about 5 times 😂 Was tricky to get it right, but happy thats out now. Appreciate you taking the time out to write to us. Hopefully it will be The Gathering 2025
So great being a part of a group. And nothing better than enjoying a convoy with them. Subscribed for next year…who knows I might have to get myself one 😜

My favourite overlanding couple. Great video as always. This is Another camp site I still need to check out. So Now that the 4 door Jimny is out, what are your thoughts? Upgrade on the horizon?
Thank you so much. We really appreciate the love. We can totally say how much we loved Punda. For now we are very happy with the Gen 3 Jimny, but maybe a van down line ? hehe
First time watching your channel. Really enjoyed Pafuri and Balule but sorry to say the music almost caused me to switch off. Maybe it's just me but I found it annoying and totally wrong for these adventures.
Thank you for your comment. Our Adventure to Pafuri series was one of our first uploads and since then we have changed up the music to make it a bit more in sync with the content. Thank you for watching :)
The Western Cape and the greater Kruger area would definitely by our recommendation, but we might be a bit biased. We are very blessed to an amazing country, so we'd if you can... all of it 😊 I suppose it depends on your budget and how long you'd like to stay. But most flights come through either Johannesburg or Cape Town, so that would be a good place to start 😊
Thanks for the support. We use the Front Runner system, including the roof tent, and roof rack. It's very close to the limit, but we have done the suspension and tyres (which you have to do) if you want the gear on the roof. We have also strengthened our roof rack mounts to make sure that roof doesn't crack.
We are planning a trip to Berg-en-dal with our kids and your video is very useful. Could you please advise what SanParks code this Family Cottage is (Number 27)? Or which one you would recommend?
Sorry for the delay in responding 😊 Hope that you guys end up goging. BA3U - is the three sleeper (number 27) BA3UZ - Is the six sleeper (number 26) Any of the upgraded units along the
Yeah, Duncan... You, me and several million others! As a Sefrican ex-pat in a far off land, we miss those regular visits! But going there in October! 😊😊😊
