Welcome to our adventure!

We are Matt and Caitlin from Australia; two absolute amateurs at vlogging who are going to give it our best crack while we travel overseas for 12 months. We're lucky enough to be able to take 12 months off work while we embark on this lifelong dream.

Up until this point, we have only been able to do shorter international holidays due to our jobs, and the travel bug has only ever grown with each trip. This time around, our plan is to slow travel Europe on a budget, to experience the local culture and sights, and test our own ability to live a different lifestyle outside of our comfort zones.

For those that can bear to watch us while we learn the ropes, thanks for hanging around and hope you enjoy!

The most unique aspect and you touched upon it. You felt it I guess. The people are devoted it it because it's a temple which has been consecrated to house their God. We are a living civilization, the people around still worship it like they did when it was built for the purpose it was built for. So it's not just a site or a relic, it's living in its purpose. In the north sadly most of them are destroyed and now are run like historical sites but those are also supposed to be living temples for devotees not just visitors

Does driving without honking in India cause accidents? What is your opinion?

Tough one to answer. We do think horns are a necessary thing to have on your vehicle and need to be used a lot of the time but sometimes we felt there was also a lot of unnecessary honking too. 😊

It wasn’t the chilli. Been travelling India for a long time now and a gut infection is an almost inevitable rite of passage. Ppl often think of the last thing they ate but it can take a week for an infection to gestate. You did the right thing though. If it happens again anywhere in India go to literally any pharmacy and point at your stomach. They’ll know lol. In a huge number of cases it’s a hand-to-mouth transmission-slap that sanitizer on. If you liked that Kadhai flavour you two are gonna *love* the food up North if you go, esp. Delhi & Punjab.

I think reason why you’ll mostly see single lane roads in Kerala is because their policy to not cut the trees and preserve the nature
@boxer999100
@boxer999100 5 дней назад
Population density is so high in Kerala, so is the land prices, so while constructing the road less land means less compensation for the land owners, we are the only state in the history of India which requested the centre government to reduce the width of the national highway, usually it's the other way around

Very disheartening to see the garbage on the side of the road and in open dumps. Indians can forget about Viksit Bharat 2047 if they can't develop civic responsibility and pride in their public spaces.
