I think it would make good content to document the dream house and get the Mrs input in your videos too if she would want to that would be great as well.
35:45 Should put some small washers behind the sign so it doesn't trap moisture anymore But then again, It was minimal damage from 50 years of trapped moisture
I have seen that issue before Where the cotter pin Isnt in the slots on the castle nut on several vehicles it was the wrong Thickness Castle nut And people cheaped out and just put the cotter pin in anyways Seen it happe. Tp many times on CV axle Castle Nuts and the wheel on the customers vehicle went flying off after the hub got destroyed Matt Not Good at all Shoty Work there 12:00 @Diesel Creek
I know this comment is about four years too late, but that radiator/intercooler/condenser assembly is meant to come out as an assembly and split apart after it’s out of the vehicle. It is much easier to reassemble it that way. Great content as always sir.
I hope you bring us along at least a little. I remember you talking about building the house there way back when you were fixing small equipment still in your garage and the drive was all mud all the time. ❤️🎉🎉🏆
If you cut more trees on the slope, is your hill still stable enough in case of heavy rainfalls ? I would dig a cellar for that house : much safer in case of tornadoes to come in the future...
Well, no new Saturday Diesel Creek VJO to day.....had to go all the way back here to find one! I think I never saw "coal mine" one so I have an emergency new Diesel Creek episode ...... All that you have done since you posted this has been so great, looking forward to at least another 24 More years of VJO's......Matt did you ever dream that when you post a new video it would get Tens of thousands of views in not only the day you posted it but within hours of posting it?
I would like to see every step of the build. I am interior designer, artist and photographer I love your show. actually I watch way too much of your show and I don’t give very much of my drawing done. I got some photographs of you and I plan on drawing you in the future. As far as your house goes I have some great ideas I know you had to design and everything, but you can count on me to give you the most bang for a design of your house. I think you are too have a porch run their entire length of the backside of the house overlooking the creek, including your master bedroom, your dining room, living room, and kitchen in most places that you spent a lot of time in and I think you also need to put stairs running from your porch down to your creek just think as your namesake of your show diesel Creek. You ought to have the best advantage overlooking the valley and your creek. also depends on how many square feet your house is going to be look forward to finding out in the upcoming shows. Thank you for doing what you do. You are outstanding and what you do Philip Scarpine. Philip.scarpine22@gmail.com, Philip Scarpine design, Instagram Philip123. You can see my artwork on there. Look forward to seeing your next show Philip.
Hey Matt there may be a local company that you could contract to come in with a tanbark grinder to get rid of the pile of tops and stumps you have there
Hey Matt. The shovel, she, is a beauty. Spray her with a 60/40 mix of diesel and oil to keep the rust away. Keep the old machines alive and functional. Great video and channel.
A Depth Oil Filteris a good thing to keep. And add in a coolant filter and additive replenisher NAPA has them . And a good Amerex ABC extinguisher and quick bracket instead of the Big Pipe by the Winch. 8:03
From my experience, that kind of sludgy buildup is par for the course inside these old engines. Working on changing my '02 WJ's 4.0 now, as it dropped piston #4's skirt into the oilpan.
Ground was too soft and the truck is geared too high. I could tell going forward, but if I drive on the fabric before the rock is on there, it messes the fabric up.
I personally would get rid of these style of axle. Which is dangerous to change tire. Then it’s a big job to repair the brake shoe. Because the hub needs to come off for brake maintenance.
@@DieselCreek the rims lock ring. That one does need a lot of attention. My uncle died from that. The lock ring didn’t hold when he add air to the tire.
@@shimiono those tires and rims are still used on a lot of trucks going down the road today. I promise you there’s nothing dangerous about them. You just need to pay attention.
Matt all you need to do when your on your own is Slow down take your time there is another day tomorrow what you really need for most of your work is Haiab crane like the one on scrappy white truck also as most machines your working on make a small strong sizzerlift where you can move around the machinery to reach parts something like a motorbike lift for you to adjust hight your working on but about all just slow down you will find you will relax
