I love the “nobody cares, work harder” flag in the shop. Makes you look at the bigger picture and stay motivated. Sometimes we push our selves so hard you fail to realize you are in a position you dreamed about years before.

Matt, I've seen everyone of those projects because I was here when you first started and the compressor was new to me. Never saw one quite like that and yes I remember when you first started working on the farm where your dream shop is now. Keep up the good work I never miss a video you put out. I got a little behind through Christmas but I'm catching up.slowly.

When you run the air lines underground from your compressor, if you have not already, you should consider another dryer on the incoming side. Underground air lines will condensate a lot of moisture.

I found this channel about 4 months ago, it's offical now I've watched everyone of your videos, and hit the thumbs up button every time, you remind me of myself when I was your age, I'm 69 and semi-retired from my own home repair business, I've never been around diesel engines like you have, so I have learned alot from you, I still get giddy just like you when I get an old lawnmower running. What a treat for a Friday night! An hour long one baby!

I was tapping away at 1:20:00 all angry pitch forks asking if you sold Christine! So glad she is still with you, or well, with the fair ground.

You showed us the parts washer, using heated water and sodium hydroxide. This brought back memories from my farm days. My Dad and I borrowed a gas powered, diesel fired, steam cleaner used to clean and disinfect mink pens, and used that machine to pressure wash any machinery we were restoring. It was not a large machine, but it sure made quick work of cleaning up and prepping a machine for painting. In the absence of such a machine, my idea is for you to take the hot water hydroxide fluid and use a pressure washer to apply, you may be able to strip the paint, grease and rust off of your entire machine, rather than use a sandblaster. Much quicker, less messy and strips everything down to bare metal for a perfect clean. Just a thought.

Great channel. I remember my grandfather teaching me to drive his Farmall tractor in the mid 1950's. My experiences on the farm in Iowa always stuck with me, after a teaching career in New York and California I retired back to Iowa, the one place that always felt like home to me.

I find it crazy how long I've been watching your channel, when i remembered all the different pieces of equipment you have worked on it just made me feel like time is flying. I really liked the church you were gonna turn into apartments, you fixing the basement walls the way you did was pretty good improvising. When i saw the saw mill, made me think how much lumber you could have cut to use in that church. I liked it when you had your wife helping you, the two of ya are funny together, but when she said you were setting her up for failure when she was running the road grader i cracked up. My husband passed on back in 1995, and when i would see you and your wife together, it reminded me of some good memories with him. Hopefully you will bring her to the shop to help you move or fix something, because i could use a good laugh. I wouldn't mind doing some dealing for that man lift, because i have MS, and that thing would help me out a lot. What's your e-mail? G-d bless.

I put more miles than I care to think about in old International Loadstars . No telling how many thousands of bushels of grain and how many loads of sawdust I moved . They had the 250 AC system , which was 2 windows down and 50MPH . The heaters and blower fans worked great though , and would give you a mouse turd shower like you never imagined possible .

I'm amazed at how many of these projects I remember you working on. I've spent a lot of hours watching you work. Thanks for bringing us along and sharing your passion with all of us. I get impatient sometimes with Matt’s plethora of projects in the queue, but, that’s because I’m 82 yo now and buy the time he finishes even these, l’ll probably be growing grass at Mt Auburn. However, I love the plan and can see through the cracks that there’s going to be much more and more significant projects in the years to come. It’s pure joy to watch “the farm” grow. Think he’ll someday run out of space?

You need a new storage garage for all your projects it is sad to see it rust outdoors, maybe next year you get a sponsor willing to give you a huge storage hall that would been awesome. I was not aware you had that much stuff around your workshop, its nice to see you fix up the old machines and not just go buy new machinery. I love that beater with a heater. That was my dream truck when I was your age, right down to the color. Hey, its only junk if it doesn't run. If it runs, it has utility. The only caution is getting too many non-runners so that you don't have time to get them all running. You are the key to the whole puzzle. If you can take a non-runner and get it to run, it has utility. If you get overwhelmed and bogged down so that you don't have time or momentum to work on them, you end up with a field of junk. Ask me how I know that.

I will continue to watch all the videos you make on your projects as they are a guilty pleasure for me as I love doing mechanical projects but seldom have time to do so. I caught sight of something in the shop that you didn't mention in the video....maybe the dually and old blue will have an older sibling soon? I just want to say thank you for the videos, I've been avidly watching your channel since I found you during the days of the church renovation attempt, and I've always found them really engaging. My father was a heavy machinery mechanic, and watching a lot of your content is a lot like returning to my childhood. The days of staring up at loaders with tires bigger than me and wondering how in the heck they got them on there. We lost him in 04 and those days are long gone, but content like yours keeps those memories fresh. Thank you. Keep doing what you do.

Shipping containers - put a couple windows in each, an entry door, some furniture and scatter them out in the woods. Rent them out as cabins.

Matt, seeing all the equipment you have rescued over the years is like taking a step back in time. Just thinking of all the hard working machinery that has been given a second chance at life by you is mind boggling. I just have to mention that this has been the weirdest winter we've had so far in many, many years...constant rain, rain, rain. Usually I would have used the snowblower about 6 or 7 times by now, but haven't even used it once yet. Happy New Year my friend, take care😁

I just had another guess at what Matt might do with the 6-20 foot containers. Maybe some custom covered area for sandblasting and painting equipment. Or maybe a dedicated homemade paint booth. How cool would that be.

44:34 You can use all of these containers to build equipment from scratch. For example, one of them is a heat chamber for treating paint, the other is a sandblasting room, etc. Or they may be specialized warehouses, meaning that one of them is only for hydraulic maintenance equipment, hoses and cylinders, and the second is for welding equipment and everything related to it. The third is for electrical tools, wires, circuit breakers, and whatever was boiled there, and the fourth is for storing lawnmowers and their spare parts. Or you can put them together and build an apartment with two floors and many rooms.
