This setup and tune the truck ran a best of 13.98 and consistent 14.1s in the 1/4 mile. Never got a legit timed 0-60. Later the truck got a ProCharger supercharger and ran a 12.41 Was a fun truck when I had it.
I HATE HOW THEY AND STILL DIDN'T GET THE HIGH-END INTERIOR NOT TO MENTION NO 5.3 ANYMORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😪😪😪😪😪😪😪😪😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮I HATE WHEN PPL THINK NON-V8S ARE FASTER THAN ONE NON-V8S SHOULD'VE NOT BEEN OFFERED USUALLY
I remember being dumb about catching resemblances back then on my old account. This is where I thought it was the dragstrip from FH4 festival and if you look down, the Countryside from the first HCR game (Hill Climb Racing)
Never really got one. Only time slips at the drag strip. Stock ran 15.21, 93 tune 14.44, e85 tune 13.91, and with the ProCharger running e35 went 12.41
Yup! They put this 5.3 in the Impala SS, Monte Carlo SS same years, and Grand Prix GXP same years. The Grand Prix was the lightest of the 3 and had the widest front tires from the factory as well. Was a fun car just wish they were rear wheel drive. :(
At 20,000 miles is when I first went with the setup. Sold the truck with 35,000 miles. The new owner now has 115,000 miles on it. They had the ProCharger unit sent in at 105,000 miles. Had a seal that was starting to leak on the unit was rebuilt. At 110,000 the transmission was rebuilt and got an upgraded torque converter. Still a daily driver for them.
@@alexkevan3887 I ran 35% ethanol with this setup and still would get 18-19mpg city and 22-23mpg highway. I went from where I live in Michigan to a race track in Maryland and the trip there and back using 35% ethanol I averaged 22 mpg for that trip.
@@stevenpeterson7234 lol stop lying they don’t make no aftermarket support for titans lol 😂 but I’ll let you live in your own world and your racing a 3/4 truck that’s meant for work w that 6.6 and you didn’t beat not 3.5 or 6.2 stop lying 🤥
Hey, I’m no mechanic but I’m certainly an expert on engines. I would consider installing a two step “launch control” by msd. Since this isn’t a roots type supercharger the boost is before the throttle body, which means it has the potential to build boost before a launch just like a turbo. This thing will dash through 0-60 if you do and it’s only about a 2-400 $ upgrade and mainly plug and play
Here is the video with all my mods and in the description it lists them. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ZKuuzFGdYhA.htmlsi=eVTXXVk9oucapE0m
@@erick5598 thanks! I’m looking into pro charging my ‘15 5.3. All got to mine is corvette intake w/k&n, long tube header, high flow cats and manga flow. With a tune. Nothing done internal.
@@BigJoe1617 the kit I had was meant for a stock internal 5.3 When you order the kit it should come with a questionnaire and ask what mods you have. Then they will recommend what pulley and boost you should go with. Mine made 13psi at peak but they recommend 10psi with the stock pistons. I was running 13psi with no issues. One thing to consider would be a aftermarket converter for your transmission which is the weak link and the extra power from the kit may cause it to fail being you’d make even more power than me being you have headers and I didn’t.
@@erick5598 was told I was making est 350hp. Really trying to get about another 75-100 I’ll be satisfied with it. I’ll do more research on a rebuild on the trans so it will hold.
@@BigJoe1617 with your mods and that kit at 10psi should be around 600-650hp at the crank or 500whp. Mine on e35 at 13psi without headers was making 650 crank hp via the hp tuners logs. Which on 91-93 octane with headers you’ll make that or maybe even more. The stock converter tends to fail at 500+ whp and the Circle D converter I had was rated for 575 whp.
I've got a 2017 Sierra 5.3 with the 8-speed, what are your thought on a procharger setup for me vs a Whipple? I'll be doing a 2.5in lift and 33s here soon but I probably won't go huge lift or anything anytime in the near future. It's my daily and I don't really ever tow anything right now
