I own a 2018 Sierra with the 6.2. I can't wait to put a supercharger on mine. That is for the tow/haul tip. I knew about the higher gears but never hit me, that I should launch it like that. I dont like the early shift at the normal mode.
@@erick5598 did you get a custom tune? I got a Edge performance chip. It makes it a bit faster and stronger. But I dont like how I shift my 2nd gear right before 60mph. Just wish 2nd gear was a tad bit longer.
Great presentation ! This should get peeps interested in you recipe of parts and your tuner if they want to run mid 12s with so few of mods. And still get good fuel mileage and stock like driveability.
@@joeinmi8671 yeah tuning alone the truck went from the stock 15.21 I ran to 14.41 on 93 and 13.96 on e85. Hell tune only 6.2 truck will run low 13s high 12s. I wouldn't mind getting a 6.2 truck next.
Thanks man. Check out The Gonz below in the comments. He has a 16 6.2 crew cab 4x4 8 speed with a supercharger, smaller pulley, and headers tuned by Klug. I'm sure he could help you with any 6.2 or 8 speed questions you have.
That's his third supercharged 6.2 truck. He loves his 6.2s and 6.0s. Trying to convert him to some 5.3 love lol. I would love to have a 6.2 truck next.
@@erick5598 The 6.2 is loads of fun. I also have a 01 Silverado Z71 w/5.3 and have over 310k on it now, still leaves most mustangs eating dust. The 6.2 is another world of torque, would love to get a nice Magnuson 2.3 on it though.
@@TheWolfMatt I would love a 6.2 for sure it just sucks the trim level of truck it only comes in. I paid 32k for my truck, and the cheapest 6.2 truck I could find at the time was 48k. Hard to justify the extra 16k for just a 6.2 :(
I just subbed, I'm glad to see someone out there with this truck making videos with these kinds of mods. I love the 16-18 Silverados. I think they're possibly the best looking ever (top 3 without a doubt). I have a 2012, and would like to do some performance mods, but may just wait until I find a nice Escalade for that. Plus, I like to support the smaller channels too 👍🏻
I just stay in it full throttle. Now that I think about it I should put the 4wd display up and see what that says. I know it feels like it does disengage still.
It did not. The ProCharger won't effect the fuel economy. It's the aftermarket torque converter that normally will make your gas mileage go down especially your city mileage. With the Circle D converter it really didn't effect my mileage. I lost probably 1 maybe 2 mpg in the city and it didn't effect my highway mpg at all.
Love your vids, I have a question about the install. After you remove the factory splash guard under the vehicle to install tubing for intercooler does it go back on? Doesn't say it does or is the bottom end of truck wide open?
Thank you! I left it off. Honestly I never did try putting it back on. I never go off road so it was not a big deal to take it off for me. That makes me wonder if it would go back on though hmmm.
Hey. Awesome videos. I actually just picked up a 3018 Sierra Denali 5.3. I was thinking about going the procharger route in the future. Have a few questions though. How’s the reliability so far? Any issues? How many miles have you been running it for? Thanks
Thanks! The reliability has been good so far. The kit has been on for 10k miles now. I did do the intake mod on the supercharger unit so I had better access to the oil fill on the motor. Also because the crank case ventilation gets routed into the air filter after the motor warms up at idle when you have your heat on you can smell that a little when at idle. Once you drive it that smell is gone right away. That is my only complaint with the system. Other than that the kit has been great. Truck has been running well with the kit and we got some snow today and it gets around in the snow just fine. It is a lot of money to spend but ProCharger has a very well put together kit.
I never got the chance to put the truck on a dyno. However via the HP Tuners software from the airflow readings show around 620hp at the crank which would be around 500hp at the wheels.
I don't have a good official time like I do my time slips. My best times are 1/4 mile 12.42 @ 109.57mph 1/8 mile 7.93 @ 86.34mph with a 1.76 60ft time. I think on a data log via HP Tuners the best 0-60 we had was 3.8 seconds in the log timer. Which is the best way I am able to time 0-60.
Just_A_Z71 I’m sure it is also damn fast. My current daily/winter driver is an 02 Silverado with a 5.3. I just can’t stand trucks with the cheap interior packages so I do not want to get anything cheaper than an LTZ.
Hello great Videos ! you do a great job and your truck is phenomenal! I want to know if there is any way I can contact you ? Such as an email address or Instagram ?
