I really hope I am DONE with moving!! LOL but I did keep everything when we moved into our Rental for our next move into the house we bought. But now that we are settled into this house, I gave it all away to others who were moving and I hope I do not have to pack again until my kids are grown!!! Hahahaha
I bet thoselowes/home depot moving boxes added up to a pretty penny? I just try to get free boxes from my local stores in my area and of course we have totes as well.
They did but we have moved ALOT over the years and I have always done the hunt for free boxes every time and while it's good for saving some $$$ and of course the environment, it does take up quite a bit of time and patience and this time around, I was so stressed and pressed for time, I needed an easy solution. I also wanted to be able to pack the pods with similar size boxes so we could pack efficiently and sometimes free boxes, the sizes are all over the place. I did save every box because we were only moving into a rental so I knew we would be using them again when we moved into another home again once we bought something so they would get at least 2 uses from us and then of course I would post them online and bless someone else who was moving with them to use so all around it was a win for me.
You totally can! It was much easier than we thought! We actually don't park our vehicles in the garage because we have soooo many large tools so we set it up like a workshop. But we finished the floor and then 2 days later we moved into the house and had the garage filled with boxes, totes, tools and furniture and we had no issues if that helps!

I wish my house looked like yours with 3 days to go. Lordy mercy. Idk I had such shopping and collecting problem. God help me, I need a miracle lol. I had cancer surgery and everything bend over vomit. 🤢because have no top sphincter.
oh, hope you could pack without getting /feeling more sick. I will be moving to GA too from AZ as my husband is a cancer patient. Now that the oncologist suggest that he will heve to take maintenance chemo for life, I feel we need to move near our son's family. It is tought to pack caring for the 87 year old patient and myself 73 and his caregiver. No family or friends in town ti help me packing. I have some time but really feel overwhelmed to start packing and make a mess of the organised home filled with packed boxes, to be boxed items and get rid of items. And that too I have to place in the car and take the stuff to goodwill or thrift store. Well, hopefully I will complete everything before we are to move.
It has held up surprising well. It is in our guest room so its not used everyday but I do find that our guests use the fan almost always when they sleep in that room because we have issues with regulating our AC in the upstairs bedrooms and so far, so good! No peeling or anything! And we do have guests fairly often...!
Save blankets and towels to fill the empty spaces. It really helps but I saw that you had already mentioned it in the cell but yeah, it really helps in the process of moving myself and I’m learning that really quickly.
Hi, found this video bc we are considering a move from Nj to Georgia as well. How would you compare the summer weather? More humid? Or kind of the same as Nj?
Soooooo Summers in GA are similar to July/August in NJ. The difference is that in GA the Heat & Humidity starts much earlier, like around May and can last up through Sept and you are just so over it LOL. NJ it is much shorter. However I do not miss the snow or the sub-zero temps from NJ. I can also pretty much get away with not wearing a true winter jacket almost the whole year, except for maybe January, that's when I eventually give in a bit and its the coldest. LOL
We live in a separate unit on my mother in laws property. My husband is transferring to a new state for work. My son and I won't go for at least a year. So I am packing his stuff, our stuff that we love but don't need every day. Thennnn we are leaving furniture and beds and basic things behind for when we visit until my mother in law is ready to move out with us. So I'm having to pack like 3 different times and leave things behind all for just one move. I need help lol
OMG finally I found someone who has done it with one 2.5 kit. I have a two car garage and bought the 2.5 kit, then my wife was watching all those dam video of people saying you have to have two 2.5 kits for a two car garage. lol Thanks
I've been trying to declutter and donate stuff and give away stuff and it's still seem like I have too much stuff I normally pack 8 months ahead of time this time I have to pack within 4 weeks so that is a lot of pressure
I know what you mean! Me too like to finish ahead of time but my hands are tight, and on top of it I sprained my foot, making my tasks very difficult! And with on going chemo to my husband, he can not eat liek normal, food does not taste good, does not feel like eating so 50% of time goes in the kitchen preparing food and cleaning vessles! :-C
Thanks for the warnings that it really doesn't cover 2 1/2 cars worth, and that it is necessary to spread it as far as possible/ Perhaps that will get me my 2.5 car area.
I have a 24x25 new garage. Floor was poured in July. Purchased 1 2 car and 1 1 car kit. Installation guide say 1 bag will cover 200-250 sq ft. I have 600 sq ft. I had to purchase another 3 bags to cover the floor.
wow, Stunning! I have in the works to do this kind of thing to a piece I have. Little worried now, because I don't have a way to print things out, so this should be interesting. haha
