In this week's video I give you an update on where we are with the entire packing process. Our First POD arrives and our whole packing plan has to CHANGE in a BIG WAY! yikes! A full update is given in intro and then the packing continues with the entire kitchen.

Stuff youre furniture with soft items. Stand your pictures and plates cushin bottom well. Stuff everything standing up except wine 🙂

Yes, I am moving to Texas , I’m from California. And yes, that’s what I’m doing just making the box and packing the box. I had packed a box and made it very heavy , so I had to take stuff out. Also, another thing the tape doesn’t seem to stick at times , so have to double or triple tape. But, I’m getting there. Thank you for your advise it goes help. Thank you much. I am so glad the videos helped you! It is nice to see other people going through the same things, I find it very motivating which is why I make videos. Oh and for the tape, I have found that the cheapest off-brand tape does not stick very well and you end up using SOOO much it costs the same or more than brand name so now I by better tape and find myself using less. Good luck with your move to Texas!

Thank you so much! I actually got all my packing stuff at Lowes and Home Depot. They are comparable in prices, have a whole moving section and I just went to whichever one I was closer to when running errands.

How do pods work? Do they have access to your things or are you the only one with a key to the pod?

You buy the lock, you lock the POD up, and you keep the key so no one can get into your POD unless they break the lock off.

wow 3 Pods .. how much you paid vs regular movers ? they quote me 4k for 1590 miles.

There was a significant cost savings. Since we were moving such a long distance most of the moving quotes we were getting from full service company's were $20K and up. Using Pods the cost was around $7k in the end. MUCH CHEAPER but you get what you pay for. It was exhausting ang stressful and since everything didn't fit in the PODS for us, we had to trash a bunch of stuff in the end which was a bummer.... Good luck!
