We have posted a few videos here that we are using on our website. Instructional videos for our stoves and a intro to our company. Thanks for visiting and if there is additional videos you would like to recommend we would be happy to hear from you.
There have been a few occasions where leaks have occurred near the weld spot, but when this happens we replace the defective flask with a new one- no questions asked!
Nice design, but I can't imagine what element of that erection system is patentable. I have a tent I bought in the 1970s that uses an identical method - and it's been widely used in European storm-worthy tent designs ever since...
We actually do have a patent on the setup, for our Four Point Tent Erection System. If you'd like to look at it the Patent No is US D963,779 S Which tent are you referring to?
@@VargoOutdoors Thanks for responding! I did check out the Patent but the only versions I could find online seem incomplete - they only offer the figures and the claim without the full test. So I'm still struggling to understand the claim. I'm a bit of a tent design geek, so it's always interesting to check out innovative ideas. If you can spare a moment to explain, I'd be grateful.
Where the loop goes through the peg, the peg is mechanically weakened by the hole. Why should you attach the guy line just there? Makes for me for strength reasons rather little sense :)
Hey vargo your tent looks great but I could not find any german review and actual on trail testing on it. I would like to review your tent on my channel.
I think you just made my dream come true! I’m a long-term Kelty backpacker from back in the day. I’ve always wondered why somebody wouldn’t simply make a titanium frame external frame backpack. Wow I will be checking this out!
I would love to see you guys engineer a complete cook system with the bot. Right now I'm using a pathfinder titanium canteen cook set that comes with an 1100ml canteen, a 750ml pot, and a 400ml cup. And they all fit inside eachother to make a completely collapsible system. Its perfect. What I would like to see from you guys, is to make an 1100ml (bot)tle, that slides into a 750ml pot, that slides into a 450 ml cup. And as for the lid, if there's any way you could attach a fold out handle to it so that it can double as a frying pan (after removing the silicone ring), then that would be the most comprehensive, complete cooking system on the market. I would pay big money for that.
Watch at about 4:52 when water is poured on a the hot stove. You can see the metal flex. How often do you do this before it warps? I’d let it burn out and cool.
it might flex a little but it won't hurt the effectiveness of the stove! If you are able to let it burn out and cool that would be best, but not always required!
Stove fully bloom in 8 (eight) minutes without warm up. You can reduce the time to 90 seconds by heating the bottom of the stove but in this case, additional fuel is necessary
bloom times are directly impacted by how much you fill it, weather conditions, & type of fuel used (and whether the fuel is new or old). Email us and we'll be happy to offer tips to get your bloom times reduced!
A better way to light this stove is to use a mix of different diameter sticks. Some really fine and some even thicker than this video recommends. Hold the stove horizontal so door side is up. Stack the wood into the stove so it would be vertical as the stove is set upright. Fill the stove about 3/4's full. Light the top of the wood pile. The oxygen is coming from underneath the fire, and the fire will actually burn down towards the base of the stove to get the oxygen.
Would you consider making a larger version of this cup with a wider diameter to fit a bushbuddy mini? Similar to your 900ml pot? My setup would be perfect. Too much of my gear is reliant on that size.
@@VargoOutdoors Wonderful! And if you do, another suggestion would be to maybe add a bail handle or at least two holes on the side to attach a wire allowing for cooking over a campfire, as well as a foldout handle on the lid to turn it into a full fledged frying pan after taking the gasket off. A cup, a water bottle, a pot, and a skillet all in one. Sounds perfect! I wouldn't need anything else!
@@VargoOutdoors Thank you for your rapid reply. I'll check both of them at a local store. Is your Ti-lite 750 Mug instead too small to sit safely on the Triad stove?
This list is useful too, what you guys think?: *survivalinnature.com/top-10-best-survival-fire-starters?Fk* It really helped me choose the right fire-starter 4:42
This is one of those gimmicky looking items that you laugh at....until you try one. I bought one for my son last Christmas and after almost a year of borrowing his, I picked up a second one for myself. They just work.
We have a few retailers in the UK however none are currently carrying the tent so the only way to purchase a tent from the Uk would be to place an order on our website: vargooutdoors.com
This is a great stove! Use alcohol and if you use mail resupply you can send Esbit fuel tablets to use on the flat side. Here is a mod for those who have the old model with the small fill hole. The new ones have a big fill hole. Use a high speed cutting tool with the blade that is 1 inch or less and cut out a 1/3 inch square hole in the top, with 4 cuts. I wish I could share a picture. When you fill it it is good to have a measure, like the plastic cup from Nyquill type medicine or use a fuel container that is marked by ounces. Spill a few drops of alcohol on the side to get it to gassify and burn efficiently quickly.
