This is one of those gimmicky looking items that you laugh at....until you try one. I bought one for my son last Christmas and after almost a year of borrowing his, I picked up a second one for myself. They just work.

cool but expensive, the cheapest one I found was like AUD$50 with delivery. For that I can get a 1/2"x5" ferro rod (AUD $7.50), .63"x3.54" magnesium rod (AUD$3.52), pocket bellows (AUD$2.66), Corona tool sharpener striker (AUD$14.83) (all inclusive of delivery) and save just over $20 and have a bigger ferro rod (that will last longer and probably throw more sparks) magnesium for tinder (all weather) and a striker that is IMHO better than the Vago one. I have several sets as listed (all lanyarded together using paracord), in each of my primary kits.

Cool. Now just try it with wood that's been wet/soaked for days.

What an excellent way to teach people how to burn down a forest. Light a fire without clearing the flammable liter and debris away from your stove first. With the drought is out West, your customer are likely to cause wildfires by watching your videos.

Hi, John. Thank you for your concern. It might be hard to see from your perspective, but we did clear the debris around the stove at a safe distance and had plenty of water on hand. For more on fire safety, we recommend watching our Hexagon Wood Stove video or visiting smokeybear.com.
