have a question for you ( sorry its kind of lengthy ) I have a permanent denture ( they took my immediate and made it into one ) it has good suction but still feels like a hockey puck most of the time ( I do have a very small mouth ) when I spoke to the dentist about it and said its been months and i still cannot get used to this and it feels uncomfortable can I put a thin soft reline in this to help make it feel better she said "no,because it would add more bulk to the denture and it would make the hockey puck feeling worse ", I am looking for YOUR opinion please....
My opinion... when you make your immediate denture into a permanent denture, it gets very bulky. My permanent denture is so much smaller than my immediate denture. There is no bulk to it at all. I'll link a video so you can see the difference. If you have good suction now, don't do anything to it. If you add this material into it, it will become more bulky. If you didn't have suction, this material would work great. The permanent dentures you'll see in this video were made by denture box. Lol They straight cut my frenulum out. They said my gum had receded so much that they had no choice. Im no expert & it's kinda hard to get a 2nd opinion when they've already numbed your entire mouth😂

I needed to hear 'dont give up & wear your dentures' bcuz that is the point im at rite now. Trying to talk is making me so frustrated. One thing that is helping get past the frustration is remembering my dad after he had his stroke. He had aphasia. So me having a hard time talking is nothing compared to when he went through. Hey there, hello. Found your channel & glad that i have. I've just had extractions done & have gotten my dentures last Wednesday. So literally 3 days ago. My mind is my worst enemy atm. I did not go to a recommended oral surgeon from a dentist. I had the whole thing done at Aspen Dental. Idk, its weird, but in my mind, im starting to see Aspen Dental as the Walmart of the dental world. Maybe im wrong. I hope im wrong. I get that this process takes time. I do. I just need to know that it gets better from here. Some cartridge had to be removed from thebarea where the middle base of my nose meets the roof/ top of my mouth so space could be made available for the uppers to sit properly. I see the face of a rat each time i look in a mirror. Again, my mind is my worst enemy rite now.i have a return visit on 11/25 for a soft adjustment/alignment. Im hoping that this whole process becomes easier... im sorry... Im rambling. This is my nerves & my mind just needing to get these thoughts out in some way. I have just an upper denture never could eat with them in . I thought with my perms which I have had since May would be better to eat with , they fit and look great but when I try to eat with them I gag.
Sure wish i coukd wear my bottom denture, very low gum walls, and a wisdoms teeth under the skin on the left that hurts when i chew on it. Orthodontist refused to take it out as it was too close to a nerve. I wish he’d taken it out now though
@Michelle are these dentures from denture box REALLY as good as dentures you'd get from a dentist. So have you been wearing the ones you make yourself at home, more then your permanents. I've watched you for soooo long! I really don't comment. Bc I haven't yet gotten up the money I need for the extractions. But I'm worried once I do that, I won't have enough money for dentures and IF I do. This was before the dementia started and before my teeth are as bad as they are now. I felt too guilty having him do that, and I didn't want my uncle saying I was taking advantage of him. Long story short. My uncle was ripping him off the whole time and has my grandmom in a home (she doesn't need any help being cared for. She's fully independent. He just wants every dime to himself. So my sister and I. Well we got nothing at all, bc my pop trusted his son. Anyway long story short, since my pop passed. I almost didn't even go to his funeral bc I was mortified how people would see me. I almost didn't go to my own son's graduation bc I figured he'd be less embarrassed if I wasn't there. And my older son basically all but said that I need to do something about my teeth. Like they're mean about it, and acting like this is happening bc I don't brush or floss I do. I have a severe vitamin deficiency and can't afford the proper amount vitamin D which is prescription and for 3 pills a week it's over 200. I can't pay that but my teeth and even bones are crumbling it just runs on my mom's side. Anyway. I'm wondering if you're using denture box more than your perms, are they more comfortable? They look like they would be. And they don't look like they're as big (I don't mean the teeth. I mean the gum part. I worry they're gonna feel like hockey pucks in my mouth and that I'll gag constantly bc I gag bad especially when they give me those damn X-rays. So I saw your video and these really seem like they're almost too good to be true. Are you able to eat and do everything else with denture box dentures? Do you now prefer them to your perms? I'm so sorry you're having such a hard time. I do understand the cost of getting extractions then dentures cost more than any of us can afford. My Denture Box dentures are my permanent dentures. I've had these as permanent dentures for over two years now. I never got a permanent set from my dentist. What you see in this video is my immediate/temporary denture. I got these from my dentist the day of my extractions. I found Easy Denture and Denture Box. I went looking for something that was more affordable than getting dentures the traditional route. Easy Denture... That is a denture you can fit to your gums the day of your extractions. This is the denture you boil then fit them. Some people are wearing these as permanent dentures because they can't afford to get denture box or a set from their dentist. Easy Denture does have a payment plan. If you have any problems fitting this denture the company will meet via video chat with you also. Denture Box. Yes! when you can afford these buy them. You really need to wait a year after your extraction. I promise you that you'll be happier in the long run. Your gums will still be shrinking at 10, 11 and 12 months, just not as fast. They really slow down shrinking after that. Denture Box has two payment plans. I'm very very happy with my denture box dentures.

Must be nice . I finally got some secure zinc free water proof . It works better than others but I still can't eat because my bottom is way big and food gets under them. But zinc free keeps me from having stomach issues..
Thankyou so much for your post it’s really going to help get my denture fitting better. I’m 54 and had my top teeth extracted a week ago and an immediate denture in. I’ve already been back and had them filed as I looked like Marge 😂 the pains been horrendous with ulcers and sore gums and my denture was too high up at the front too! I’m not getting implants as can’t bear anymore pain with my teeth or gums and I have brittle bones so I’m sticking to a denture well now I know what to buy to fix them in thanks to you 😁 ❤
