Question? What can I eat? Who do I turn to? What can I do? All that remains in my mouth are a few shards of teeth, I can eat things such as Meatloaf and soft foods. I need Nutrition for diabetic reasons. Dentists have been telling me for years that I need an oral surgeon and Doctors have told me they'd see what they can do. I have constant abscesses! I am in Al on Medicaid which sucks being 57 and they don't cover dental.
Well, first off, you will feel much better when the teeth are all removed. The infections from your teeth can travel to your respiratory tract and other places in your body. Second, see the dentist and see what he advices. ❤
Medicaid will cover emergency dental, which abscesses are. I had many abscesses teeth removed and medicaid paid for it, because abscesses can be very dangerous, healthwise. You could get sepsis.
Back in March 2004, when I had my gastric bypass surgery I had to eat soft foods as one of the stages, but everything needed to have protein… so I ate a lot of the baby meats and added seasonings to them. Some of them are pretty good with the seasonings added! Now 20 years later I’ve only got 9 of my original 32 teeth left and I’m doing the soft foods again… and adding spices to alllll the soft foods!!! SUCH A DIFFERENCE!
When I first got my temps after extractions, I purchased the Boost Very High Calorie with 22 grams of protein in chocolate. It's a little pricey on Amazon (but cheaper on Amazon than anywhere else), but It's so worth it. As for eating food...baked potatoes, sweet potatoes, soup, yogurt blended with fruit, etc. Thanks for the video.
I just put all my regular food in a blender. My dentures never fit, and I can't eat with them, but now I can pretty much eat anything that isn't too chewy. Cheese enchiladas and any kind of Mexican food, as long as you shred the meat real good is great. It's pretty much all soft. You can eat chicken and fish, because they pretty much fall apart when you chew them. Most fruits are soft, except for apples, and of couse hou can make apple sauce or any kind of cooked apple, and cooked vegetables. There's a lot you can eat. Just not things like steak or pizza, of course, or crusty bread. 😢
