This video inspired me to finally move on with my warriors of chaos army! Since the old world launched I was restoring my old 1997 hunchback army, but I stopped about a month ago because batchpainting 100 chaos warriors was driving me insane. But I want to be able to finally enjoy the full army painted, too!!! ;_;
nah fam, airbrush is where it is at. black base coat, white zenithal, then a thin layer of whatever the primary color is. Half your painting done in three steps.
My bad experiences with airbrushing on a time budget was always disappointing when after 30 min or so problems occur concerning clogging or paint consistency… and then it (sometimes) eats up more time than necessary 😓
@@Paint_Quest Man you must have had a bad airbrush. Airbrushing just cuts out soooo much base coating time. Especially with models that are majority one color or two colors.
@@Paint_Quest sorry, I meant rules. When it came to minis we used Warhammer ones, cause I had a chaos army for that too. I think there were some imperial beastmen minis from the rogue trader era, I’ve memories of them being in the colour pages of the 2nd Ed rule book - then again so were a lot of other minis they stopped selling in stores. I can check later, I’ve got all these books still.
The skaven? They‘ll be part of my skaventide AoS project 😅 depending on the rules, I’ll theme the army like mad max fury road… it’s just an idea at the moment 🤔
I have the Spire of Dawn re-release of this starter set, and I'll be putting together the High Elves for Old World. The only slight issue is that all the bases are slottabases and aren't the new Old World sizes, which are a bit larger, so I'm going to have to clip off the base tab for each model, which seems like it will be fiddly. I was hoping this would be covered here, but it looks like you decided to just go with the original smaller bases?
Well, I didn’t cover that part because I thought nobody will care about the base sizes… actually I gave the infantry the new size bases and the riders got AoS style bases (because I might use them there as well). But I had to clip the slot rails off 😅
Die Skaven-Hälfte war leider nicht vollständig… und ich musste 3 Monate warten bis ein geeignetes Angebot auftauchte … dann hab ich zugeschlagen! Wenn man Geduld hat, kann’s klappen 💪
