Truth be told I hated the ceramic pots! I am glad they are doing self watering pots. All of my plants end up being converted to semi-hydro and this made it easier for me. Also I travel a lot due to work so as you can see I am really happen they made this switch made my life a lot easier!
@PeggysPlants So glad I found your channel. Can't wait to watch your videos! Yes.... thanks. I went to a different Publix 2 days before, I only saw one. Smaller for $59.99. So I'm very excited.
This gives me a reason to enjoy shopping at Publix. I can't stand shopping for food nor clothes, but I'll be happy to pop my head into Publix for a "mistake" find such as yours. It's bound to happen again and hopefully, I'm the next lotto Thai winner at Publix
YES so cool. I had to go to town for business and stopped into my home depot in Ontario Oregon. Same price. They did not look as well for lack of care . The lady gave me 5 dollars off and I did not even ask for it. One leaf was broken. Roots look great new growth looks good and it looks like there are either two plants or two mother stems in the pot. Just got it home. 90 mile round trip 7 stops 100 degrees. My butt is now dragging. Time for my home brew iced coffee.
I just found a fertilizer suited for tap, Rain, and RO water by Tezula. I can't want to use it. The only plant I ever bought DW for, was Suddenly Seymour, my Venus fly trap.
Great find! I got a 10-inch pot at Whole Foods about six months ago. They seem to need very high humidity, it was soon struggling under typical houseplant conditions. I moved a small division to a terrarium setup, and that is the only segment that has survived for me.
Oh no! I'm glad you were able to save a portion of it. In all honesty, I killed my small one years ago, in record time. I'm hoping by keeping these outdoors I will have better luck. Fingers crossed!
I'm jealous! Hopefully I will be able to keep mine happy. I'm planning to grow them outdoors since I can't seem to make them happy indoors. Feel free to share some growing tips!!
I have a huge Fiddle Leaf growing outdoors that gets full sun in the Florida heat. I'm planning to put mine in the ground and hope they will be as happy as the Fiddle Leaf. Truth be told, I struggle with Ficus. I have one indoors (Tineke) which does well, but I've killed a Triangularis before...rather quickly. 😳
I noticed the new pots at kroger AND the plants aren't always the best. Normally will have spider mites...which seem to ALWAYS be on the fullest plants.
OMG...not you too! It seems all of my new plants end up with spider mites. I'm treating them for pest before I even bring them near my other plants nowadays. Spider mites are the worst!
I looked into these a couple of years ago and it seems like they were a lot more expensive. So the price has come down. I'd love to see your impressions after using it for 6 months on the plants that seem to get the brown edges. Looking directly at my calathea orbifolia!
I will keep you posted. So far I'm loving it. I haven't seen any new browning on my calathea so she seems to be liking the distilled water on a regular basis. What a diva! Thanks for watching!
I just had to repot her. Leaves started browning and she didn't seem happy. Turns out she was very root bound and it hadn't been that long since I had repotted her. She's just happy, I guess. I can't take credit for doing anything special.
@@PeggysPlants I have had mine for two years at least and that thing grows so slow. When I put it outside in the summer it goes crazy, but fall and winter, nothing. What made it worse is this Spring out of the blue came a hailstorm and destroyed most of the leaves. Nice plant.
Amazing video content and explanation! Could you tell me how do you make a hole in your vases, please? Thank you so much. I'm new to indoor plants 🪴 but really want to give ot a try! ❤xx
Love your videos, thank you so much I can gruels learn a lot from it. Also can anyone tell me what animal was there on the tree ? Minute 2:20 to 2:23 on the lower right side of the screen
