A no BS, non-poser, non-click bait, SurfSkate page on YT. A page to motivate people to skate through music via a nostalgia for skateboarding’s pastime.
Hey Mike I was going to try to send you something, but I dont know how to message people on RU-vid anymore. I thought you could PM or at least I thought I did in the past. Maybe not. Anyhow, RU-vid Stange July by Trey Smith. I've been following him for years. It's pretty interesting stuff.
The Iroquois drove the Sioux west where they ran into the Chippewa, the Winnebago and other Great Lakes tribes. The Comanche drove the Apache west where they ran into the Hopi and the Navajo. Indians were killing each other for a long, long time. Not happy, maybe not fair, but that's how it was.
The Union Army's official account of this battle counted 250 men, women and children dead. It was a military unit chasing down families. Not the way it was depicted here.

@@dharmachariaryavachin845 no AI generated a narrative based on facts that supports the facts. The entire video isn’t AI, some clips are real. But you’d have to have been awake this entire time to know that. And just because it’s AI doesn’t mean the satire is based less in fact than a satire generated by a human. And just because it’s AI doesn’t automatically mean it’s not true. TV news liars told you a virus was jumping around the world at 6’ distances but if you sat down you’d be safe, but only while eating, and that a mask would stop it. Did you participate in that human lie for three years and take poison too? If so you need your truth meter checked cause it’s broken pal.
The issue isn't that this justified the violence. The issue is that violence never needed justification. You just had to defend yourself from it, and throughout history, one side has sometimes failed to do so, and they suffered the consequences for it.
Oh right on! Thanks!! 🤙🤙🤙 waves went flat. Been neglecting the skate practice cause I’ve been surfed out groveling the minini too just trying to stay in the water. If it stays flat I’m gonna keep skating.
Lookin' good! 🤙 Hope you are doing well, man. Long time no talk. I disappeared for a while, too. Had a lot of super depressing stuff happen this winter that put me down. It seems like a plague amongst us all lately. Recently, I found a skate park near my work that I somehow didn't see before. It has been a Godsend 🙏. For the past 3 weeks, I've been getting up at dawn and going to skate before the grind. I have my Carver Rad Ripper replica out with me, too, in order to better my surf game for our trip to Outer Banks in August. Your videos have come across my mind. I need to get my diet under control again. Are you still mostly following animal based?
Yeah, still all animal based. Surfing 3-6 hour sessions no problem. Feeling great. Best I’ve ever felt in my life really. Been surf consistently so this is only my 3rd or 4th skate session in like 2 months plus. Glad you found a park. Wish I found a skate park. I want to skate a decent park so bad, do some grinds, pop some ollies on hips, sounds so fun in my mind. :-/ Surf trip sounds good! I’m going on two snowboard trips, one coming up quick and the other at beginning of next year. I’m super excited for that, so I’m trying to keep up on my skating so I can get the trifecta benefits. Just bought all new snowboard shit for the first time in over a quarter century. Did a ton of research and catching up on snowboarding, and all the technology changes, online. That was fun, but a little distracting. I’m like staring at all my gear drooling, psyched to go shred again. I was big into snowboarding as a teen. But yeah, I hear ya about the world. Had like three weird encounters back, to back, to back, here that I felt were beyond bizarre and just so out of the context of the reality. Good news is: as I lose faith in people again, the more I skate by myself and avoid others. 🤷🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️ Keep skating that park in the AM before work. I’m jealous. 🤙🤙✌️✌️
@mikeuptegrove That's awesome, dude! What are some of your go-to foods? Me and the wife just bought a new Weber 3 burner, so I've been cooking a lot of burgers. As far as skating goes... Skate or die! 🤙It keeps us young. I'm really grateful to live near Baltimore, where there's a lot of skateparks. Some famous ones are Lansdowne Bowl and Charm City. That and hardcore punk are big here. The problem, though, is that a lot of these parks are locked up like Ft. Knox and have the most frustrating hours. It pisses me off to no avail. To the point where I've thought about looking into grants and funding to have one built. I know about this dude who did just that, one county over from me. I might try to talk to him about how he did it. Have you ever thought about this sort of thing? Either way, I'm really sorry you don't have a good skatepark :/ that's such a bummer. Since I don't have one near where I live (that's never f'n open and would need a grinder to get in) I'm going to put a half pipe and a few rails in my barn. This way, I'll skate every day, no exceptions. Anyway, perspective is everything, bro. You envy my skateparks, I envy your waves 🤣 closest waves around here are over 2 hours away. Not a bad trip for weekends, but enough to keep me from surfing much. One day, I'll have a trailer over there and be able to surf every weekend. Dude, snowboarding is rad. There’s some of that going on in western Maryland, but they have a hard time keeping the fake snow from melting. It's been about 15 years for me. I'd love to do it again, but I hear some big chain bought up all the ma and pa resorts and jacked up the prices. My brother was gnarly with it but told me it's not worth it anymore around here. I take it you're going out west somewhere? Colorado? That's where everyone I know goes. I'm stoked for ya, dude. 🤙 anyways I could talk all day 🤣 always good chatting with ya.
@@scottybones8282 my go to’s are: Ribeyes and burgers. I do lamb too, and lots of eggs and cheeses. Feeling great. Yeah, snowboarding is crazy expensive, so I’m flying to Argentina where is $500 for a 14 day pass. After that I’m heading to Japan with one of my oldest childhood buddies I grew up shredding with when lift tickets were $13. Japan is at a 38 year low to the dollar, so I’m finally going to go back just to snowboard. Yeah, our parks here suck. They wasted like a million bucks on the smallest worst park I’ve ever seen sadly. And! Chris Senn lives here and has for decades and could’ve been consulted to do it right. Sucks they lock up all your guy’s parks. Lame. I just saw Dan the vlog skater was in DC. The park looked rad. Yeah, waves here are fun. So no complaints. Everything in life is give and take. Barn half pipe sounds epic. Do it. Don’t overbuild it. Keep it mellow. I had a 6’ as a kid but it was too short and too steep. Too gnarly to skate well or learn on. Keep me posted on your sessions and that barn ramp build. 🤙🤙🤙
@mikeuptegrove Lamb is awesome. I started eating it when the famous New York halal made its way down here. It's bangin’. They give you hella rice, though. Man, those trips sound incredible! Count your blessings every time! Japan is close to being a priority for me. From sightseeing to culture. The barn is a project, to say the least. Probably next year. I laid out the design, and now it's just mustering up the money to concrete it when we have a thousand other projects going on. But I need it in my life. I'm never giving up skateboarding ever again. I'm sorry I ever stopped. When I was in my early 20s, a wise man once told me that I wouldn't truly know myself until I was at least 30. He was right on levels I didn't understand at the time. So I don't argue with walking egos, I say that it's the exception and not the rule 🤣 OC Ramps makes some nice and affordable half pipes. I'll probably purchase one of the 3 to 4 footers. I'll stay in touch with ya 🤙🤙🤙
@@scottybones8282at least you know you need it in your life. Many don’t and then regret later. I checked OC ramps too. Shipping to HI was the killer. :(
@@mikeuptegrove Thanks. I’ve been wanting a sweaty hug for a while now. lol. But yes, I feel great … in so many ways. Thank you so much for your example and all your help. I appreciate you. 🙏🙏🙏

@EricB90 because he has experienced it first hand, half the time they know better than that actual parents dummy, get a life and stop being so controlling

When the time comes you realize how fast time has flown (as you are probably now). When that day comes nothing will matter. None of your problems, insecurities, and regrets will mean anything on that day. Of the people you know only a handful will truly mourn you for a few months, but eventually they will adapt and move on. Stop taking yourself so seriously.
We don’t take certain things seriously because we’re not getting out of this alive. We take certain things seriously BECAUSE we’re not getting out of this alive and our time on this planet is finite, while spirituality, it’s actually infinite when we’re with our Heavenly Father. Whether or not in 3 generations our name is still known, is irrelevant, what WILL remain is the things we’ve done for ourselves and others our family etc , the impact it will have on future generations, just like the generations before us impacted all of our lives today. God bless.
