MMO mechanics and unavoidable damage dont belong in Monster Hunter. I dont care how much they warn you about it. There can be an in game guide video on how to speedrun him and they still wouldnt belong in Monster Hunter. That is one of the biggest things I dislike about World and Icebourne. I will tolerate it on Behemoth because he is a guest monster from an MMO, but they just started slapping them on everyone they wanted to be tough.

I really hope this gets brought back for Wilds with a redesign. So far the mainline weapons cover everything but the basic "hands-free" combat, the closest it ever got indeed looks to be Tonfa. I only discovered this weapon's existence just now, but previously whenever I thought of a brawler-styled weapon, I'd imagine something very similar. It just makes sense!

Ooooh that’s a fun strat. If you clutch onto the monster and you are LOWER than it, your base position registers as being higher than where you’re due to land after letting go, so if you spam R2 you can do an unsheathe attack! Works very nice on a sloped area like this one, hope that makes sense!

I 100% hold that they should have let up to 4 monsters into the locale at once (three normal Large Monster slots and a fourth hidden Invader Slot) in Rise and then have it so Invaders (Bazel and Rajang) won’t show up on the map until you encounter them if they’re not the main quest target. Keeps the suspense of Invaders intact since you would never know if one is on the field if you didn’t happen to run into it first.
I recently tried MH1 and Dos. I can't stand them, so i opted for Freedom 1 and Unite for the QoL improvements, but im happy i tried them. I've been thinking about the oldest games for years, and now I'm content.

You seriously have to be mentally challenged to pronounce "geuse" as geese. Betelgeuse has always been pronounced correctly and there's barely any difference in these names.
Is Longsword good against him or should I use Charge Blade? Watching this guide, it seems Charge Blade might be better since you can guard through most of his attacks
I think the reason why zenith midogaron’s flame tornado move is easy to avoid, is if it were to suck you in, you would only have a few, if not, literally no time to evade the attack, and this would probably make the fight a lot harder than it is. But at the same time, I still think that the flame tornado should’ve sucked the hunter in anyways, even if it made it quite challenging to avoid. It would’ve made sense, and it would’ve made the fight a lot better in my opinion.
People (newbs) don't get how powerful Gunce can be. I tell em about the defense bypass, i show em my numbers... they still thing GS is "slow." This shit is one of the flashiest weapons in the game, and when used right, a single Gunlance is all you need to kill 99% of the series's toughest monster safely.

how this even possivble ? we tried 5 times, 4 player, medium damage of 500-600 every hit (greatsword) and this DEMON broken us every time (grade 5 master)
Great job. Nice to be overpowered. I beat it for the first time earlier, but only because it kept getting into scraps with Deviljho. I fainted twice too. I'd like to farm it, but my armor and weapon can't get much better at this point, so probably the only way to do it without a lot of frustration is to fire a flare.
What's funny is I'll get harassment if a hunt takes longer than 10 minutes yet if I don't use optimal gear to make it take actually less than 10 minutes then they harass me for not being tryhardy enough.. I stopped caring eventually
